I got a new to me water canner and it doesn't have a rack on the bottom. I used it today and just put a dish towel on the bottom of the pan, added my jars, then the water. it worked perfect.
Thank you for sharing. I appreciate your clear instructions, especially the amounts you used of the ingredients. I made my first jelly yesterday (raspberry/blueberry), and after procesing the fruit, I ended up with 5 cups of juice. I used my limited math skills to add 6 and 1/2 cups sugar, 6 Tbsp pectin, and 1 Tbsp lemon juice. I was like you - I had a half-jar and all if did was float in the canner.so I left it out overnight and will try it on toast for breakfast. Thanks again!
Really enjoyed watching your video… I’m trying to learn how to make jams and jellies… this was a really good video for apple jelly… I just subscribed.. love how you explain everything
The recipe you showed it said 5 cups Im told dont altar recipes it will compromise the jellies final setting correctly is this true because you used 6 now not sure what I m supposed to do haaaa help please
Oh! Thank you for catching that. I said 6 cups of sugar when in fact it is 5 cups of sugar. I did use 5 cups. I just misspoke. Again! Thanks for catching that.
Perfect video. Thank you so much. Will be making this today! My brother LOVES apple jelly.
Great video, I wish you had come back after it set. I will try this but will add a little lemon juice. Stay tuned
I wasn't thinking. Yes, I should have showed the result. I am planning on making an update, showing the results.

I use the recipe that comes on the recipe paper inside the pectin box. It turns out really good.

Love the video, no need to boil the rings and I remove the rings after canning to save money. Keep up the good work and thanks again for the info

Miss Solo Do you have any recipes for pepper jelly? Also Can I make enough for a single jar? Tysm!! ❤❤❤
So awesome!
I love apple jelly. Have not had it in years though.
It's my favorite. Back in the day, I could find them easily in stores. Now, I can't find them at all so I decide to learn how to make my own 😀

Do I or don’t I put in lemon juice
This certain recipe does not call for lemon juice.
Making a double batch today!
Let me know how it goes!
Buy from anywhere your jars except wall mart
Wow that's a lot of sugar :)
Yes, jellies require tons of sugar.
However, you can make it with less sugar.
You can sub in honey. 3/4 cup per 1 cup sugar.
