The copper backplate makes this board so much better. Takes away any hollowness and adds a considerable amount of heft. This is my favorite feeling board that I own and I'm happy that now it sounds better and it did use to be on the lighter side so this is just really nice. The weight with the stock alu backplate is 4.73 lbs (2.15kg) so not light but not heavy for a tkl. With the copper backplate its 6.12 lbs (2.78kg) so a good bit heavier and more in line with most other tkls. The jane v2 CE is actually around the same weight as the ME with the alu so this is a pretty nice improvement and I think the color of the copper is really nice with GMK olivia. I don't think this set will last on this board tho, I would like to put some beige on it.

Thanks for the detailed description! I’ve been wondering about the weight/impact of the backplate so this is really helpful. I might have to get a Jane ME 😅
