5th Feb, arrived on the tail of the Cyclone in Mauritius. Took two attempts to land, big plane, short runway...! Settled weather for our two weeks, better than expected. [Turtle bay] Intense heat in the sun, Factor 50 essential for the whole stay. Loved it all, such a long, stressful time waiting to get away. Lovely island, lovely people. Everyone happy to see tourism picking up, and it was noticeable how many more were arriving at our hotel over the two weeks. Back to a wet and windy UK now, two attempts to land at Heathrow..!!! Thanks for the info before we came out, and we hope to return one day. 😎🍹🌴
