an underrated ado song and one of my all time favs, along with Eien no Akuruhi (Eternal Coming Days). She doesn't get very loud or screamy with that one, but boy does she put a lot of emotion into that one!

Yea when I first listened to ado I thought she was just alright and I pretty much only liked gira gira and blacklight. Then kura kura came out and because of that I went back to listen all her other songs and atm she's definitely my favorite vocalist by far

Ado changed my perspective about what a good singer is. Creativity is so impactfull and important. Really wish more western singers did this. I have the impression we are too scared to be criative in singing techniques.
I recommend "Rasen". This is a song from before and after Ado's debut, and is the theme song for a game featuring detectives and yakuza. I can't see it on her channel. You can watch it on the channel of "Jon Yakitory", whose singing ability has been attracting attention since before her debut. I can feel Ado's spirit in the way he sings.

Ado just released a song she wrote the music and lyrics for, Shoka, it is extremely good and an honest glimpse into the struggles of her psyche. Highly recommend it for that alone but the musical styling is very interesting and as always her vocals are impeccable. Definitively more rock focused as well so quite tailored to your background

10:07 the way I like to visualise that sound is as a pushed/distorted Elmo voice. Do an Elmo impression and push. Tone down the Elmo aspect of it just enough so it's not so thick, et voila - works every time 😂 I like to do it very briefly for a subtle tension, typically at the start of a word - especially if it's an m or an n, it's a really nice subtlety
"That's low for her" No it's not, listen to "Overdose" if you want low Ado. Her normal speaking voice is fairly low and that song is a lot closer to that.
I don´t think it is something you would break down or analyse but you should definetly check out her kareoke videos on Ado´s yt channel, you can tell she is having a blast singing with her friends and how much personality she has. There is for example one of YAOSOBI Idol, Yonezu KICKBACK (chainsaw man) amongst others. I think you would really enjoying watching them!

It's scary how she was both a complete and evolving singer at this point in her career. Especially with this being her second original song.
