From what I read, EXA Arcadia keeps their games exclusive. No pc port nor console port for at least 5-10 years. Maybe never. That’s why my excitement went down as soon as I read this. Only way to play this is in arcades in Japan or if you find one their machines in the USA or Europe.

Breaker's is one of my favorite classic fighting games. Those sprites look so clean! I'd love to try this version!
As a Chicagoan, The fact that i wont be able to play this for a long long time hurts my soul.
I always find myself choosing between Revenge and Chicago.
I really hope this gets a Steam port, genuinely hard to be excited for this after finding out it was gonna be exclusive to some Japanese arcade machines

Breakers Revenge was a banger since it was first released, I'm super pumped for an updated version! Can't wait to play.

This was the highlight reveal for me. First an official crossover, now this. Breaker's might be planning a true comeback in the future! Just need a Karnov's Revenge: Detroit now so Ryoko can actually be viable!
It would be funny if when localizing this version to US, they call the other two styles Baltimore and Detroit.

This version looks sick. All characters look powerful and viable. The hoop jumping change the gameplay a lot. It's a shame we will never be able to play it.
exA-Arcadia is not a bespoke hardware with proprietary hardware stuff nor it's console-based. (According to Wikipedia) It's a Windows PC-based hardware running a NESiCAXLive/APM-like Interface to launch games after all, like all arcade hardwares from today (Except the system runs games from cartridges that look like bulky pendrives (Up to 4 of them) instead of an HDD, SSD or even an Optical Drive a la Sega's Lindbergh and Ring Series (CD/DVD/BD))
After an amount of years, it's just a matter of patience (In some cases, huge lots of patience) that the game is preserved and made playable in our PCs via Teknoparrot and JConfig (The latter is what the Rollback-modded DFCI (RingEdge 2 Version running on Home PCs) uses for control settings)

This game is so fun and always felt way ahead of its time to me. So awesome to see it get an update like this. More people should try Breakers
you should try the new Chaos Code game from Exa Arcadia, unlike their other releases this one is actually new, with actual new characters, and whatnot
its originally put on hiatus due to the death of the lead dev years ago, before it was completed and released by EXA Arcadia
I am guessing that the Breakers Collection they put out a short while ago sold enough for this to happen. That's good for them.

This is sick! Loved Breakers Revenge for years, This is a greatly appreciated update...hope they consider realeasing this version on steam...thank you for the footage Justin. On a quick side note as someone who has played Breaker's Revenge for years...Saizo needs as many nerfs as possible, Bro has 2 different projectiles (one of which goes through other projectiles) a long sword, Plus moves etc...nerf bro into the ground...he is menace to play against

I love the Breakers games. I have never seen an Exa Arcade in the wild.
Breakers revenge was amazing in my opinion. Even if a bit generic I just love the character design. Dao-long was ma boy!

Basically I have the game for free on the switch because the demo only locks arcade progress. You can fight the CPU for however much you want in other modes and all characters are unlocked along with practice mode. Though I do admit the revised version on the arcade is much smoother.

I guess I was hoping for more...changes? Sounds like BR, which I love, but with hop jumps and new sounds? IDK. I'll keep an eye out in case it comes to Steam / Switch / Mame, but ... not too excited sorry to say. I'll keep playing BR on my iiRcade (yes I'm one of those people lol) with Sanwa controls, and loving it. :)
This is amazing!!!! If only Capcom had iterated another time on SF3 or SF2.
Breakers was really one of those "could have been" series that didn;t make it into the modern era, like world heroes. Crazy to see new stuff for his series, i'm going to try the new version.

Breakers Revenge was such a an underrated gem! So glad to see this get updated. I hope Tokon Matrimelee and Rage of the Dragons get this same treatment one day
Sorry,I am really confused. I found exA arcade make(or export ) many old fighting games with some changes in titles. Did all these game just old games with only some balance changes? or do they add new characters, too? By the way, some of those games looks like doujin fighting games(the sprite quality is kinda.....)
Seems they only do balances and add a couple of new mechanics. Obviously with the original devs or the IP holders. In the case of the older doujin games, they won’t go back to adding new character. I don’t think they even have the source code to add new characters from scratch. So you’re not missing much, aside from balances or a new mechanic or two.

Looking arround this shady neoragex dvd I got as a teenager, this game, and the last blade saga where hidden gems of the neogeo.
NeorageX, what an awesome emulator that was. My brothers and I played the hell out of that catalogue on a HP Pavilion from 1999 with a VGA CRT with fake scanlines on and 2 Gravis gameport controllers. Good times.
@@lancepage1914 i had a pentium 166/16mb of ram and this goddam emulaor eat those games like nuthin. It ran garou and new “unsupported” games just by placing the zip in the folder. Years of fun with it and my crappy pc

If you haven't played Breakers give it a chance, it is insanely fun fighter, easy to combo and play, there are no boring characters in this game everyone is fun.

Are they gonna get the original studio vocals ( not the arcade cart compressed vocals). Will they have saizos stage and his sound in cd quality? I’d love for them to actually get us the cd quality vocals of the original. Dreamcast ports did this of the KOF games and exa has yet to do this with this or the rage of the dragons game.
I like how they've brought back the backgrounds from vanilla Breakers, I did prefer some of those over Revenge's more muted palette.
