I had the opportunity to buy a used lime green kuda 126 an hour away, but it was sold out from under me. So, I bought the only display model pike 126 anywhere in Oregon (visiting from Idaho). I used it for the first time yesterday on Trillium Lake at the base of Mt. Hood and I really enjoyed the height of where the seat put me in the boat. Feel closer to the water, lower position of gravity, but still easy to get in and out of the seat at the shoreline or boat ramp. I'd like the weight and ease of folding the Kuda better than with my nose keel of the Pike, but the nose piece does help it track better through the water (less slap). From where I had to park (3x) yesterday, and how far we had to lug my boat with her lightweight paddleboard, I'm definitely investing in a kayak wheeled cart just in case. I was surprised at how fast the hand pump get everything inflated! The seat is quite comfortable for a big girl like me. I'll be adding handles on the side pontoons, and maybe a couple more YA mounting plates closer to the seat. The only other plus I saw with the Kuda is that my Whippet dog can walk around and stand on something like that better than the design of the 3-piece design of the Pike, but I still think the Kuda would have been more difficult to control (front end wag) when paddling harder in some wind that came through. Some great points to both boats, and some consessions.

Being a senior citizen I went with the kuda 106 and I fish small lakes and ponds. One mode that I am doing is adding a couple more yak attack switch pads up closer to the seat. Looking forward to future videos that you post about your fishing from the NRS Kuda!!

I think I may add 2 more and a pair of side handles. It'd be near perfect then!

Ive been fishing out of the NRS Pike for about a month now. I am in love! I rooftop it a lot and it's easy to get up there and won't scratch or dent the car. Stability in a hard kayak means slow and hard to paddle, it's a trade off. Not in these inflatables. I am taking mine to Florida next week to fish the marshes then to Colorado in late July to fish the reservoirs off the S Platte. So excited for this kayak. Hope you like yours as much as I like it. Just don't forget the skeg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hear ya on the skeg! I am gonna put our spare in the seat back bag just in case!

Hey! Thanks for the videos. They've been informative and entertaining which helped me and my bro decide to go with NRS. We had originally ordered two Kudas but switched to the Pikes, they should be here Tuesday and we'll have them on the river next Saturday! Going to go to Yakfest in Saint Albans WV. I for the Camo and my brother got the Orange - I really dig the grey too it was a hard choice. 🌻

I was sooooooo close to getting the orange!!! But this is ultimately hers and it woulda clashed with most of her gear so I would have had to buy more gear LOL

@@ChrisFunktheFeralOne I'm stoked to get them in and give them a test - I just hope standing and fishing is still decently easy. If not it's not the end of the world but standing is what had us eyeing the Kudas at first.

Just so you know, I hope to have a video up tonight, but I took it and ran the pike this morning. You are gonna love it! I was able to stand very well. It is not AS great as the Kuda, but that is just because your feet are pretty close together. I am very impressed with it! Put a strap through the front handle to assist in getting up and down.

I think I watched out of sequence so now I can see that you prepped them at home and transported to the water all set to go!

I bought the Kuda and it white water skeg but only use the skeg on deep water. I typically don’t run a keg it paddles fine without one IF you use a high angle paddle stroke. Low and wide angle won’t work without a skeg.

I was seriously thinking about removing it before I ran those rocks, now you got me thinking I will try it for sure, thank you!
