4:50 I understand what you're saying but it seems like it's been a headache due to someone not taking their time to do the job correctly. Love the review. Thank you.
Thank you! Yes you are correct on the install being done poorly for the replacement bimini. I have changed to a different dealership now to do any work on the boat and could not be happier with the new place. They fixed the issues with the bimini and even fixed some other things the original shop messed up on that I had not noticed. They even took pictures of the railing where the original shop caved it in with an impact wrench in case it fails so that it can be fixed under warranty. I felt like I may have complained more than I should have in this video but wanted to make sure all the minor bad stuff got covered. The boat overall is outstanding and I still smile every time I take it out - which is often! **The new bimini is beginning to show signs that the wire may have a similar issue to the original one (when you press the lower/raise button it delays and eventually stops working completely as the wire stretches/breaks). Keeping an eye on it but just a heads up to any potential buyers or current owners to keep an eye on that.
Congratulations on the upcoming retirement! I was so worried that I would regret the boat and that the size would be an issue, but now I really don't think I'll go back to a smaller boat again. My aunt is retired also and she just got this exact same boat after going out in mine a few times. She says the same thing I do, that you just can't beat it for comfort/stability. Haha, you will need a longer net to land the fish though! Good luck out there!
I just got my first "tooner" boat and so far am loving it! I've had 7 boats over the years, latest was an Astro bass rig. I also rebuilt my dads BlueFin 19' aluminum which he gave me, but now being old aged, can't use it like i would like, so it's on the for sale block. Only issue I have with my Pontoon is getting on it when on the trailer. My knees and back fight me the whole time. My wife and I are in our 60's now and health issues have set in. Two of our daughters convinced us to go "toon". Glad we did! Having fun setting it up how we want now. GR8 vid and I thank you for your review!!! Ours is a 20' also! Perfect size for us!
Oh man, that is awesome. I know you guys are loving all the space in the new boat! I think you've probably got a lot more experience fixing up boats than me and that's saying a lot cause I worked on my old bass boat all the time! Thanks for the kind words about the vid and good luck out on the water the next time you go fishing!
Just bought a used 2017 SunTrack Bass Buggy 18DLX. It's a little smaller that this one but it's basically the exact same build as your Ranger. Must just be re-branded. BTW mine has a Motorguide trolling motor. Very similar and in that same position. Gate goes over top no problem. Must be different mounting heights.
Hey Bob! I got a new video on the way now! Needs a few more days of editing and should be ready. It's from a day last week where I went out and managed 37 at Darbonne (and a few bluecats). Was a great but challenging day. Fish were scattered all over so definitely in post-spawn mode now. Caught around 10 in the shallows but all the rest were roaming around deeper water. *Also have not forgotten about you being my first comment. Tying up the legal side of my product stuff now and hopefully able to give you one soon to try out!
haha, I asked the dealership the same thing! They said there's a bypass method to detach it from the gears but it's nothing you'd want to do unless stuck at the ramp and needing to get it down to go home as it requires tools and can potentially break things if the motor is run without the top attached. * I did get my bimini fixed finally by a different dealership. Was very VERY unhappy with the original shop but the new shop was great! Time will tell how it goes now as the original shop caved in the railing where the bimini attaches to it by using too much torque.
I know that feeling. My wife and I came to Darbonne (from Indiana) a couple years ago and as soon as I launched, my back went out. After a couple days with the chiropractor, I got to fish a couple days. I think we were at Steve’s Fish Camp. Nice lake. Want to do it again sometime. Take care!

I never even considered a pontoon for fishing until I have watched some of your videos. As I near retirement I think this could be a great option
Congratulations on the upcoming retirement!

Enjoyed your video review!
Thank you! It's a great family boat and a fish-catching machine too!
Hey! Been missing the videos. You’ve got me hooked and now ????. I appreciate you either way!

Thanks a lot i like your pontoon i am handy cap that is the type of pontoon i need
Can you manually set up the bimini or does it have to be electric to use?

Looks great. What size motor?
It's got a 90hp motor that moves it around 20-25mph (or 15mph loaded with people/coolers/dogs)
Will the gate open the other way
No, the gates only swing open inward towards the interior of the boat
I build these boats and funny I came across this randomly 😂
You build some amazing fish-catching machines. I get a smile on my face every time I step onto the deck!
@@HighQualityFishingVideos maybe one day I'll have one and test it out.
By the way love that pontoon!
Thank you! Still look at it and can't believe its mine some days - been wanting a boat like this for 20 years!

Just need to remove that gate, then take that plastic cap, cut a little of the gate off, reinstall everything. Shouldn’t actually be to hard.
Remove the plug, saw the inch off the gate and replace the plug
