I'm excited to see integrated seamless designs and the hidden spaces are dreamy. I'm happy about warm mid-tone wood and curves that aren't painted arches.
It's great to see another video from you! You have a unique sensibility, personality, and way of presenting information that I enjoy. My impression is that you present information logically, showcasing visual beauty, and infuse your commentary with your own individual personality and sense of humor. You really stand out from other designers out there, even if you may sometimes overlap in the trends you are talking about! Thanks Vivien! BTW, I loved the idea of color drenching using two different tones of the same color; I had not seen that before and it looks so much more nuanced than just painting everything the same color!
I added mixed metals to my home decore a few years back and they will have to pry them out of my cold dead hands before I change them out because I LOVE how it looks. Great video! And I love your interpretation on trends, SPOT on! Have a wonderful and healthy 2025!
Victorian Clutter is what I call it. We like to keep our "stuff" piled up around us. But guests still have to be able to get to the hall bathroom. 🤔 Let there be cupboards in my bookcases! This is a fantastic video! You're the best designer on RUclips. And as somebody else said, your example photos are spectacularly illustrative of what you're saying. Bravo!❤
I always look forward to your posts. I have been subscribed for about a year and I find myself always coming back to your channel for inspiration. Keep being you :-)!
Loved this! So good to see what’s coming. Although it’s also so hard to keep up when you have to choose which style to go for! Thanks for the inspiration ❤
Texture yes, a few curves yes, smart home tech at some stage, and a few mixed metals but not cheesy brass. A big no to burgundy been trying to get that out of my house for 17yrs along with orange timber drenching. Just want a calming neutral palette with some black contrast, some greenery and organic, modern and a little lux. After living with a hoarder for over 30yrs I want simpler lines, not much out but to live within my clutter threshold and everything in its place. Hygge is my overall style and atmosphere. Am working on it. Happy holidays.
To me, curves is a way to protect my body against myself. I'm so clumsy! That's the reason I want an island with rounded edges, a table with rounded edges, etc.
Posh, have you ever been in a space with brick walls and the same brick floor, AND the same brick ceiling? I feels like you went through the looking glass. Color drenching does this if you don't have tons of architectural detail. Otherwise, disconcerting AF. It will not age well. The very high gloss ceilings do magic, I rolled on a high gloss oil based paint and it worked. Contrary to what you would think, it raises the ceiling. "Color of the year", what a great way to follow a fad, and date a room, only to have to repaint in 2 years. I am crazy about the murals. BTW, wallpaper is outlandishly expensive these days. Do you know why??? Back in the day, it was mostly the same price as paint, unless a designer line or grass cloth. Tech in my opinion is going too far. Mechanisms to open the drapes and turn the lights on and off, don't make sense, and too many remotes to keep track of. This is just to sell novelty product that nobody will use after the first week. Thanks for the up-date and post.
Colour drenching is soo 1980s. Back then you would choose a colour or pattern and every surface would have that bestowed on it; walls, floors, curtains, sofas, cushions, etc. One comic duo even did a comedy sketch, check out French & Saunders. That killed that particular trend for many years
@@PoshPennies it's like made to just hose it all down or something...I guess it could make sense for a steam shower or something, but otherwise it's a no on ceiling tiles for me 😁
I wonder! part of me thinks a rich, deep yellow, but they also did yellow a few years back (the year they did two colors and paired it with gray 😐) so we'll see!
The Pantone color will always be some random color that isn't actually trending or popular at all ...I can't remember when they ever got it right in recent years
You always choose the best images! LOVE!!❤
I always love when you upload. Your videos give a lot of great design and information. Thank you!
I'm so glad you enjoy them! 💖

yes let's make the painted arches stop 😅

Trends are fun! I like taking some of them and incorporating into my eclectic mix. Thanks for this video, so helpful!

I did a double drenched room, earlier this year. Black Sapphire with Tanzanite. It’s scrumptious! 😍
sounds basically incredible 🥰
You're really good at this.
You always have "pearls of wisdom" regarding design and I love that you share them with us. ❤
Brilliant video like always, Viv! Thank you!

Sooo exciting... I love it all!!!
Thanks
thank you!!! 😊 🙏
You have exquisite taste ❤
I definitely resonate with the curated maximalist but with lots of wood.
me toooooo
Tile drenching in marble aka the Russian oligarch bathroom.
also, mausoleum vibes 🤣
Beautiful table

i think everything is outlandishly expensive these days 😅
I'd like to see a video on new trends for home exteriors. I feel like everything in my area looks so blah.
I love the sink at 11:00 minutes. Where can i find/buy one ?
Don't forget everything fluted and wavy!
totally! embellish everything !
Effortless blinds? lol .. I call it lazy But on a good note, love this video! Glad to see I am moving with the trends without even realizing it lol :)
Thank you 😊

I will check it out! that's not something I ever noticed about 80s interiors so I find that super interesting
Good information. Thanks. I am not partial to most of the trends. I'd like to see more sustainable designs. My style is traditional AND thrifted.
love that !
Whaaaa....no cap??? New trend in 2025 😂!!!
"Tile drenching" is great when you want your space to double as a butcher shop or t0rture dungeon! 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 kinda true
@@PoshPennies it's like made to just hose it all down or something...I guess it could make sense for a steam shower or something, but otherwise it's a no on ceiling tiles for me 😁
Is that for real? Just as I started designing my dream home interior, suddenly all the trends shift exactly to my style...
Guessing that Pantone will pick burgundy.
I wonder! part of me thinks a rich, deep yellow, but they also did yellow a few years back (the year they did two colors and paired it with gray 😐) so we'll see!
2025 trend summary: drenching everything 😁
drench it alllllll 💦
I guess no more complaining about matchy matchy😂😂😂😂
The Pantone color will always be some random color that isn't actually trending or popular at all ...I can't remember when they ever got it right in recent years
that's what I'm saying! 🤣
Yikes! Less is more. I dont like a totally blank canvas but I find to many patterns in one room is not relaxing. To each his own.
my husband agrees with you! I like a bit of pattern 😁
thanks God real interior design is back. the only thing more boring than minimalism is most of the minimalists I know.
🤣🤣🤣
With the exception of the smart home tech, I can’t stand any of these trends. They won’t be happening in my home.
what's your favorite type of smart home tech??
