Pipe Force looks super interesting. It's a kick seeing you experience new flavors, I imagine, for the first time in a long time.
I had a bowl of this and I can say, Per Georg Jensen blends, even if I don't care for all of them, are well balanced

Sounds very interesting. I really hope we get to a point where all these oriental varietals are preserved and consistently available. It's long past time that pipe and cigar tobacco loses the stigma of cigarettes. I dream sometimes of a world where tobacco gets the love that wine has.
I agree, but I'm afraid that things are only getting worse in that regard. The general public (and lawmakers) in the US don't seem capable of making any distinction between pipe tobacco and cigarettes.
@stuffandthingsyoutube the premium cigar industry has made some big wins lately. I'm also starting to see a new wave of interest in pipe smoking (I know that happens cyclically) and I hope we can start to get the argument out that cigarettes are the outlier, not the norm for tobacco consumption. I agree it's an uphill battle, though.

I reviewed this blend for my channel too! I got none of the advertised sweetness or berry.
The pipe force blends just seem like the leftover tobaccos from Jensen’s birds series. I liked half of the bird blends, but haven’t been tempted by any of the pf blends.

Bradley, smoking outside changes a lot of the characteristics of a blend, which is why I usually don't do it. My favorite place to smoke was in my car, back when I drove 40,000+ miles per year. But enough of "the good old days." The Perique-ing of different types of leaf might have gotten its start a number of years ago in a conversation Russ Ouelette had with Mark Ryan, the owner of L.A. Poche' Tobacco Company. Russ suggested trying it with Bright Virginia, and Mark said it wouldn't work because of the delicate structure of the leaf, compared to the strain of Burley, which is the base of traditional Perique. So, they decided to lower the pressure and halve the time. The results were amazing, producing a flavor never tasted before. It came out very malty. Russ put out a limited number of tins containing the leaf. You have persuaded me to get a tin of today's blend. Great show today!
