Haha! I've been obsessed with a new (to me) ink lately. Iroshizuku Shin-Ryoku. A deep, beautiful green. George Smiley, in the Le Carre books always uses green ink, so I figured I'd better get some.
@@stuffandthingsyoutube I have green Noodler's Squeteague that I use for my dip pen. A lot of inks are too thin and watery for that purpose, in which case, I switch over to my glass dip pen. I have a bunch of Goulet green samples, so I'll have to check and see if Iroshizuku is in that mix!
You got me into pipe smoking. I became an avid watcher of this cool dude, from his shanty apartment with homeless people shouting in the street and railroad train noise outside. Stories of rants with neighbors and advice on English tobacco. The only time I was disappointed was your feud with Shiney Pines (she's a nice lady). Also, I fully enjoyed the Dark Soul's gaming, and often play them just for fun. A favorite was the special, "The Most Expensive Pipe Tobacco you can buy". Thanks for the memories! MGF Bradley, Hope you doing good. Congrats, 10 years is quite something and did you say 13 mil views. That's not to be sniffed at, well done again! So, I think ten years is worth ten mins of typing. So, firstly, I am new to the party, 6 mths only, however, along with GO4x4 and a Outdoor Gear Review, you are among my firm favourites, in fact you are now my number one go to; and due to your prolific output, I have hundreds of vids, still to catch up with, hashtag happy place. So, congrats again. I dropped my first vid in 2008, but in all that time have only amassed 50k views, but "Hey Ho", we keep going at "themcnabinator" channel. So, what can I bring to the comments for you today. Couple of weeks previous, you had the feeling crappy to appreciate feeling better dialogue. I totally agree with your/CP's sentiment. For a long time I suffered from frequent gout attacks, ankles, toes, elbows, knees, like every 2-3 mths. Whenever there was an attack it was two weeks of hobbling about, cursing my bad luck/genes. But, eventually, the throbbing pain would begin to lessen and I knew I'd likely wake up the next morning 90% back to normal, it was such a good feeling, so I totally get the sentiment of what was being discussed. Just as a public service announcement by way of S&T's. I'm sure some of the community also have gout/inflamation issues; I tried all different meds, eventually, someone recommended cherry extract capsules, I suspected they had no hope of anything because firstly 100% natural and also, no doctor had ever even thought of mentioning this to me. I start taking 2500mg daily, capsules, since then (3yrs) only a couple of very mild attacks. So, any of 'our' community out there suffering frequent gout attacks, I 100% stand by the cherry capsules and a basic 7 ingredient joint supplement, turmeric, black pepper, white claw type deal. I like your photos, but the best street photography has to be monochrome. So, the final thing, I have indulged in the hobby for ten years, and I was totally clueless (like you) at the start. Unfortunately, I live in a country, UAE, where the only tobaccos available are every incarnation of CB. However, I do have some nice options from overseas trips, at the moment I am 'obsessed' with a blend (now discontinued) BENTLEY's Oriental Amber, I love it, it has a weird funk about it, but the S-ing is meaty and satisfying and still has a small funkiness about it, like an over-aged steak type thing; but, only have 100 grms left and am unlikely to find more. So, this summer I placed a large order with GQ in London, I'm receiving: Elizabethan, My Mixture 965, SG Full Virginia, Comoy’s Cornish Mixture, Orlick Golden Sliced, De Luxe Navy Rolls, Standard Mixture, Peterson’s Perfect Plug, SG Best Brown Flake and Peterson’s Flake. I wonder if you can guess, which I’m most looking forward to trying. Well, actually the Golden Sliced, I love the sound of a ‘refreshing’ smoke, I am really looking forward to rubbing it out, dropping it into my P and S-ing it in the early evening. That’s what you have done in this instance, you have broadened my understanding of this hobby and for that, I thank you. But I also, appreciate all your other facets as a RUclipsr, ecclectic is the way to go, even if the views don't always reflect this, eventually, you'll make that algorithmic breakthrough, i'm sure, everything goes full-circle at some point. I have one suggestion Bradley, I will assume you are slightly more free and easy with your time now, and maybe you could do a tobacco safari, head off to Chicago or NY or Charlestown or wherever, anywhere there is a real good tobacco vibe and do some on reporting/recording from there. A temporary change of scene is always good and it would add a new layer of interest to your channel. Just a thought. Well done, if you even made it this far. It's been a while! I think I subbed about 2015 or '16, and you and S&T and all the ancillary channels have been in my regular rotation ever since. Something that's meaningful to me is that when you commit to a cadence, you keep to it (life obviously intervenes, and that's fine). So, I know if it's Sunday, I can look forward to Sunday S&T. Same with Plays (RIP), Working, etc. You've led me to great pipe blends, pens, game series, and have been a comforting companion throughout lots of craziness (COVID??) and life's challenges. You've also been open and even vulnerable at times in your own life, and I hope you know how much we all appreciate that, because we've all been there, will be there, or may be going through it right now. Congratulations Bradley! I'm really happy for you, quite a milestone! I've been watching S&T since 2019, when I became old enough to buy pipes and discovered your channel, and haven't stopped ever since. I'm more of a "silent" viewer, I almost never make a comment (although I'm trying to interact more these days) but I watch and like every video to help out as I can. Here's to many more years to come! I'm watching from Brazil and can only imagine which percentage we are, I think I only saw one other Brazilian fellow here over all these years haha.
