Yeah the Magnuson Supercharger is impressive. I currently own a 2003 Sequoia and a 2016 Tundra TRD Pro. Perhaps I'll get a Magnuson for my next Tundra.
Not a fan of mall crawl looks tbh just build it for what it's meant for that's why 5th gets look better with 35s and 17s it's easier on the power train too less weight on the rims less blowouts what do I know I only work on Toyotas every single day🤷🏿♂️🤷♀️
Do you still have the tundra? How did everything work out after the supercharger? Curious I have nearly same truck and I’m waiting on my delivery this month too…😅
Chuck Does Stuff Hey Chuck Magnusson is in the process of designing a supercharger kit for the 2016 to 17 Tacoma I called them recently to confirm that rumor that was on Tacoma World.
I know and have the money set aside for it when it is ready to go. I found out when this truck was being built I had questions about the supercharger for the tundra and called magnuson directly and then asked about the Tacoma. I hope it comes out sooner than later
Hey Chuck, Thanks for the shoutout! We are excited that you like the gauge and would be happy to answer any questions anyone has about our products at service@p3cars.com. Have a great day!
Nevin Howard if I stayed in that truck any longer I would have done something really stupid and expensive eventually...... but it would have been totally worth it!!
Hey Chuck, I know this is an older video and I talked to you earlier on here about the P3 gauge, which I have now. I put it in the right hand vent for an extra speedometer to be in my face. But I thought I'd let you know how my Magnuson on my 2016 Tundra was doing. When the truck was new, up to 5k miles I was getting 14.5 mpg with it. Now with the Magnuson supercharger, I'm getting 20.1 - 20.9 mpg mostly around town driving. And it is scary fast when I boot it. Stretches the front shocks right out. But drive perfectly normal if you don't get on it. It's much more fun this way, and great gas mileage too.
I am glad you like the P3 gauge and everything is working out for you. It does not make any sense that gas mileage goes up but it does...... Now make sure you start to save up for new tires because you will burn the ones that you have off of that truck in no time.
They've got 4 cats you can get more power outta the tundra check out dap tuning out of Texas and Rouge racing in Vegas makes a larger throttle body with the right tune and long tube headers people are getting very close to 600whp and get the nitto 4.88 gears and the auburn lsd
Hey Chuck! I’m stocked I found you and your buddies truck. I have the same setup with fuel 22 a 6inch lift and 35-12.5 tires. I was debating getting rid of my Tundra being a 2018 but decided f it and I’m waiting for my magnuson sc to be delivered within the next month. Very curious though if your buddy still has this truck and has it stayed together from all the mods especially the supercharger.
really like the video gives me inspiration because I really want a Tundra 4 door and I think it be really cool to have a supercharger hopefully within 2 years
The new 2018 is going to be a cool looking truck and I don't think they are getting rid of the 5.7 any time soon either. If you like Thunder Rolls than keep watching because there is some more things going on with it that will be on the channel.
It is worth the money IMO... The owner is really happy with it and is looking to build his next vehicle, and the first thing that is going on it will be the SC.
Put the super charger on my 2014 tundra 4 months ago. Installed it myself took me 13 hrs . Is it worth it ? only if you like doing g force pulling acceleration 80 mile an hour kick downs Holy S>>t and will light the tires on a roll on up to 50 mph! IT does put a smile on your face :)
Nice Truck. I recently found out my 2011 Tundra Supercharger by TRD has been discontinued. Magnuson basically took over TRD and rebranded the top plate. I found this interesting.
Good and honest video. I have a few questions. How did your buddy got rid of check engine light ? I put in dual long tube catless headers with a TRD cat back exhaust and I'm basically getting catalyst below threshold error code.. I even ordered a underdog racing development o2 simulator and it did nothing to my truck. Check engine still coming up..
Shell gas seems to be the best gas for a Tundra. I have s 14 Tundra Platinum and with shell gas I get 23 mpg on a long trip. With out Shell, get about 20 mpg. Shell, for some reason seems to work best.
If he really wants the most out of the super charger get rid of bully dog and google DAP tunes ... my buddy has 2017 6 inch super charged 1794 tundra and got it tuned and it really pulled all of the power and took off torque limiter and it's safe there are plenty of people on the tundra crew fb page that will say the same thing
What do you mean I have seen a bunch of lifted FJ's and check this out www.magnusonsuperchargers.com/category-s/125.htm I have also seen one of these in person too.
"I was about to go watch a movie with my wife but my friend called and said the truck was ready so I told her I'll be back in a couple hours." ***10 hrs later***
I have the same year Limited, make and model sitting on a stage two Lift from Icon, 22” wheels and 38 inch tires. A few other goodies but “without” the Supercharger 😭😩 On gas? It gives me 10.2 miles per gallon!!!!!! Yeah it sucks considering the fact that it’s a cow. Cow, meaning my wife’s 2018 Ford Explorer drags it!!! I can’t even tele a 6 cyl. stock mustang. Talk about embarrassment??!! To think I’m sitting in a Hulking looking Tundra and when I hit the throttle it takes off like an overweight Tortoise 😳 I used to own a 2012 tundra SR5 which was stock but!!! It was hell on wheels. It even took out speedbikes on the highway from 40 plus mph and up. Please tell me, why is this stock 2017 such a cow compared to the SR5? By the way, great video!!🤙🏼💪🏼
5050FUTURE magnuson makes the TRD blower for Toyota. All they do is change the housing that says magnuson for one that says TRD.... that and he could not order one through the dealer. So he got it through a local magnuson dealer and had them put it on so the factory powertrain warranty was picked up by magnuson
GREAT video!!! Great review!!! I'm subscribed to your channel!!! I enjoyed the review on the Tundra!!! Thank you!!! I own "04 and "11 4runner's and will also be buying 2018 Tundra crewmax 5.7 4x4 TRD offroad!!! (Probably sr5 Trd offroad).
MrStropparo, the company that did that truck is hp racing they are really nice people and can take care of you there number is 410-760-6487, I have also used no limits in belair, they are really good as well
Wow nice truck! Beautiful color! But I hate chrome! Plus any wheel bigger than 18" on 4x4 trucks! Or more than 2" lift. But that's on me and my need for true performance over looks! I would have started with a TRD PRO Tundra. Or actually a Chevy LTZ Z71, 6.2 with a Magnuson blower, long tube headers. Then with a Fox cool over in front and Fox shocks in the rear! With just 2" lift with whatever tires could fit, 33"? On 18" forged wheels.
It is funny you say that you would have started with a chevy LTZ (2015 to be exact) because that is what he traded in on it....... He got everything he wanted on the truck at the time he purchased it.
It is funny you should ask he has no idea....... Because he got the truck and then took it across the street and got the supercharger installed he had about 9 miles on it when it happened.
I have the Magnuson Supercharger on my 2020 TRD PRO and its dyno tuned and it gets about 2-3 mpg more if you don't get on it but why put a supercharger on if you are not going to run it.
Juan J Solis all of the work was done at a shop here in Glen Burnie MD called HP Racing they did the supercharger lift and almost everything you saw in the video.
Do you know how many miles where on it after they supercharged it? Thinking of doing it to my brand new TRD Pro but idk if thats a good choice lol. Thoughts?
dMATRIXb nope he is not the kind of guy that will be behind or in front of the camera..... I am actually going to get it back again and do a Update vid on it..... I believe I am getting it this weekend and will drive it to the RUclips call out at Cecil county dragway.
Chuck,,, tell me about this P3 multi gauge he has in this Tundra. Is it a FT86 ? And is it plug & play with a Tundra ? Compatible with the Tundra OBD2 plug in ?
make sure you get a OBD2 splittrer the supercharger kit comes with the Bully dog programmer that has to be plugged in as well. This truck has a 4 way splitter if memory serves me correct. His power steps sprint booster Bully dog controller and the P3 gauge all run off of the OBD2. here is a link to amazon where you can get it. www.amazon.com/iKKEGOL-Splitter-Diagnostic-Extension-Individually/dp/B01M5G9KS0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1494724996&sr=8-1&keywords=1+to+4+OBD+2+cord
Thanks,, good to know. I was under the impression that the Bully Dog was to reprogram the truck, then unplug it. But your telling me that it stays plugged into the OBD2 full time. I will get the splitter, and thanks, I never would of thought of it on my own.
Alika, the company name is Hp racing in Glen Burnie MD there phone number is 410-760-6487 the decal was cut from 3m clear bra film so it could be used on any paint surface
i dont believe this 5.7 v8 with the supercharger is giving you 14-15 miles per gallon. how do i know. i have a 2018 tundra 1794 edition and im getting 12-13 per gallon.
Good descriptive video Chuck! It wasn't too long at all. The "P3" gauge website doesn't list the Tundra - only Scion. What unit is the gauge and how did he fit it in? I have a TRD supercharger on my '12 Tundra. It's identical to the Magnuson. Consider a gear change from stock 4.30 to a 4.88 gear from Nitro. It will wake the truck up because the tall tires really eat up the stock gear. www.nitro-gear.com/category-s/600.htm Auburn makes a posi for this Tundra that drops right in. aftermarket.auburngear.com/vaf/product/list/?id=40&limit=all&year=56&make=14&model=277 Do the gear and the rear at the same time. It'll almost feel like you added a whiff of nitrous. The surge in power is addictive and burnouts are even better. Call Nitro to see if they recommend changing front diff gear. The the TRD supercharger (used?) in your description is a fantastic price. I recommend anyone to get one even though it may be a used unit. The blowers can be rebuilt and worth it for cheap power gain. Cheers
That's sweet. I'll be installing my Magnuson Supercharger next week. Been looking at gauges to monitor my AFR and I really like that set up. Do you mind sharing the link to that specific p3 gauge if I decide to replicate that set up?
Sure not a problem, he used the Gauge for the FR-S/BRZ Toyota used the same vents for most of there cars so that one will fit and work for you. here is the site www.p3cars.com/toyota-scion/
Yes I do when it is not my truck and I don't want to sit there and destroy $1000 worth of tires that are not mine....... The owner encouraged me to do more but again the truck does not belong to me. Trust me if that truck wanted to roast them until they pop it will.
I have no clue what the stock does but this is much quicker than a stock one.... even with the larger wheels and tires..... I have no clue what the new ctsv 0-60 or how fast they run but over the weekend I watched thunder rolls keep on the door of a ctsv from a stop up to faster than I care to ride on my bike
All I am saying is what I saw....... unless it was a cts V clone (which it could be)....... I don't know because I did not stop to get a closer look (ie look under the hood).
Hey Chuck I'm looking to get mine s/c and no one does it around me.. anyway you could shoot me a email add me on Facebook or something so I can get some more info please?
Proud owner of a badass Tundra, myself
That truck is sick! I supercharged my 3.4 swapped 89 Pickup, and that makes power! Can't imagine what the 5.7 feels like!
Now this is the tundra mods we need to see on youtube!!
I saw Thunder Rolls today parked at the Royal Farms off Nursery Road. I was impressed.
Yep that was Thunder Rolls.... if you see it next time talk to the owner he is a really cool dude!
Yeah the Magnuson Supercharger is impressive. I currently own a 2003 Sequoia and a 2016 Tundra TRD Pro. Perhaps I'll get a Magnuson for my next Tundra.
Finally a fking video on this truck that's actually good! Great work!
Great build!
Im not usually a big fan of Tundras but this one is badass!
I love this truck every time I get in it, it makes me smile. It truly is bad ass!!
Not a fan of mall crawl looks tbh just build it for what it's meant for that's why 5th gets look better with 35s and 17s it's easier on the power train too less weight on the rims less blowouts what do I know I only work on Toyotas every single day🤷🏿♂️🤷♀️
Damn truck sounds like a DRAGON!
Buying my sc in 2 weeks. Got flow master outlaw cat bk.. Rolling 20s on 35's. 6 inch pro comp lift kit. 2017 crew max! Ready for it!
Do you still have the tundra? How did everything work out after the supercharger? Curious I have nearly same truck and I’m waiting on my delivery this month too…😅
I had Tony's Custom Exhaust do my 07 Tundra and it sounds amazing. Nice video.
That is one badass truck!
And the owner is just as badass too for letting me do what I did!!
Chuck Does Stuff Hey Chuck Magnusson is in the process of designing a supercharger kit for the 2016 to 17 Tacoma I called them recently to confirm that rumor that was on Tacoma World.

It's not as powerful as any aftermarket blown V8 from the big 3, but it's different and still reliably gets the job done. And I like that.
That truck is sick as hell it would have be hard to give it back to him!!
Nevin Howard if I stayed in that truck any longer I would have done something really stupid and expensive eventually...... but it would have been totally worth it!!

Did you do any additional tuning?
Nice Truck. I recently found out my 2011 Tundra Supercharger by TRD has been discontinued. Magnuson basically took over TRD and rebranded the top plate. I found this interesting.
Magnuson has all ways made the supercharger for Toyota they just put the TRD case on it.
I believe the TRD Supercharger is an Eaton Supercharger with a kit designed by Magnuson and made to OEM standards for Toyota.
I did not know that....... You learn something every day thank you for that!!
i love this truck... i have a 14'
2 questions: 1)towing, is the super charger good for towing? 2)reliability and CA carb?
if you want a good doney's and burnies. Turn trac off so you can get both wheels to lock up and have true burnouts
I have a 2008 toyota tundra on 33s no mods done to motor and no lift but it spins tires with no problem
Good and honest video. I have a few questions. How did your buddy got rid of check engine light ? Beauty truck with beautiful paintjob
Have the same truck in double cab, how does the SC affect the warranty? I think toyota used to offer this option no?
Shell gas seems to be the best gas for a Tundra. I have s 14 Tundra Platinum and with shell gas I get 23 mpg on a long trip. With out Shell, get about 20 mpg. Shell, for some reason seems to work best.
Robert Hills Jr I’ve never gotten more than 15mph on my Tundra on any long trip. How is 23mpg possible?
Same
Down hill with the engine off .
Lol

I will let him know thanks for the info!!!
I have a 2009 Toyota FJ Cruiser really enjoy it but I think there's a few limits in the performance department and the lift Department too
What do you mean I have seen a bunch of lifted FJ's and check this out
www.magnusonsuperchargers.com/category-s/125.htm I have also seen one of these in person too.

the supercharger pass smog test or not because I live in california
Where did owner get those cool Magnuson decals??
I didn't buy the tundra for mpg! 16 ain't great but it Will do!
I get 11 on 37's
I get 11 on 33s
I have a 14 with a 6 inch lift 35 tires and getting 10 MPG what do I need to do to get 14 MPG
Superb video. Mouth watering indeed.
replace the blocks with lift specific leafs. looks like alot of axle wrap with that much power
Why this SC over the TRD? More power because the price looks about the same?
5050FUTURE magnuson makes the TRD blower for Toyota. All they do is change the housing that says magnuson for one that says TRD.... that and he could not order one through the dealer. Love my tundra!!!!

That's all I run is shell fuel premium....never had an issue
That's awesome!! I want a Magnusson on my Lexus LX450 ( Land Cruiser).
I haven't seen one of those supercharged but I have seen a Sequoia...... it would bad ass tho
Jose A Lopez that is a turbocharged kit for the Toyota Land Cruiser with the 4.5 liter 1995 7
Any mods to the blower?smaller pulleys ect..
I can’t find any place within 60 miles of me that does a full Dynamat install. Any ideas? I’m an hour from glen burnie.
MrStropparo, the company that did that truck is hp racing they are really nice people and can take care of you there number is 410-760-6487, I have also used no limits in belair, they are really good as well
I got my tundra from jones Toyota in bel air. I’m familiar with it. Thanks man.
I will only own a Tundra . For me the ram with a hemi runs close but I made the right choice
Wow nice truck! Beautiful color! But I hate chrome! Plus any wheel bigger than 18" on 4x4 trucks! Or more than 2" lift. But that's on me and my need for true performance over looks! It is funny you say that you would have started with a chevy LTZ (2015 to be exact) because that is what he traded in on it....... He got everything he wanted on the truck at the time he purchased it.
I live in Maryland and I have a 2014 Tundra I would like to know where did your friend get his work done on his truck? Thanks
A place called HP Racing they are in Glen Burnie MD they did all the work on his truck. hprcustoms.com/
Les Nois highly recommends dynomat!
that is bad ass indeed!
I have a quick question, how's the fuel consumption with the Magnusson compared to stock?
It is funny you should ask he has no idea....... Because he got the truck and then took it across the street and got the supercharger installed he had about 9 miles on it when it happened.
I have the Magnuson Supercharger on my 2020 TRD PRO and its dyno tuned and it gets about 2-3 mpg more if you don't get on it but why put a supercharger on if you are not going to run it.
Very nice truck.
Yes it is.. every time I see it it makes me laugh like a kid again
Fuck! Your right sir. Its a fucking beast. 👍 😎🍺 Awesome looking Tundra. Hey so who installed the supercharger for him?
Juan J Solis all of the work was done at a shop here in Glen Burnie MD called HP Racing they did the supercharger lift and almost everything you saw in the video.

@@Chefjjdecker I'm on 9k miles and considering it lol. No regrets?
Where did he get the magnuson decal??
Holy crap what a nice truck. Does this guy have an Instagram or anything where I can see more of this beauty?
dMATRIXb nope he is not the kind of guy that will be behind or in front of the camera..... I am actually going to get it back again and do a Update vid on it..... I believe I am getting it this weekend and will drive it to the RUclips call out at Cecil county dragway.
Chuck Does Stuff Nice! Can't wait to see it! Thank you.
Chuck,,, tell me about this P3 multi gauge he has in this Tundra. Is it a FT86 ? And is it plug & play with a Tundra ? Compatible with the Tundra OBD2 plug in ?
CA1460 Anctil yes the gauge is for the ft86 and is plug and play.... the vents are all the same with toyota so it will fit
Great,, another toy. My Magnuson is in the mail too.
make sure you get a OBD2 splittrer the supercharger kit comes with the Bully dog programmer that has to be plugged in as well.
Nasty axle wrap
What company installed the supercharger? I wanna get in touch so I can order a decal like that.
Alika, the company name is Hp racing in Glen Burnie MD there phone number is 410-760-6487 the decal was cut from 3m clear bra film so it could be used on any paint surface
Can you recommend a good shop In md to install a magnusson on gm 5.3? 2015
i dont believe this 5.7 v8 with the supercharger is giving you 14-15 miles per gallon. how do i know. i have a 2018 tundra 1794 edition and im getting 12-13 per gallon.
right i got the 2018 platinum and in town i get 12-13 also so he full of it
Correct causemy 07 tundra 5.7 sr5 double cab only gets about 12mpg.
He took that paint off on the ground holy shit
Have you ran into any vibration with the tacoma?
Damn who put the lift kit on I'm in Md too
a place called HP Racing in Glen Burnie, There is also another place that does great work as well called No Limit
you just can't get that much horsepower out of that 4.0 starting with a 5.7 is much nicer and the gas mileage is just as bad with the 4.0 as the 5.7
now I got ya...... If you are looking for power than having a higher starting point is a logical choice.
Love the truck NO way toy are getting that MPG.. I'm getting 13 barely on 1 size bigger BFG's
Good descriptive video Chuck! It wasn't too long at all. The "P3" gauge website doesn't list the Tundra - only Scion. What unit is the gauge and how did he fit it in? Appreciate this video review
Get some bars on that rear end to handle that axle wrap!!
Make all the chrome black and it will be complete
Who installed the S.C. for him?
A company called HP Racing... here is there information hprcustoms.com
How is the Bully Dog Gt and the p3 gauge connected at the same time?
he has a OBD2 splittter so he can have both plugged in at the same time

What about long tube headers
Want to get this supercharger for my 2012 so bad
It is a lot of fun I have driven this truck several times after this video was made and it makes me laugh every time he does a burn out at 30MPH
MD! nice truck!
that's awesome
yes....yes it is
I like it, I will take two please!!
tundra with 35" suppose to get 10-12 mpg, put supercharger there, get more power but save more gas, so wired!
yup it does..... according to the owner he is getting 15 all day long
Chuck Does Stuff Damn I get that all day with my 16 4 inch lifted Tacoma
I have 17 tundra with a 7in lift it gets 10.9
Definitely is not getting 14 15 mpg
WOOOH ONE WHEEL PEEL!!!
open diff?
Beautiful truck but one thing needs to be done... get better tips for that exhaust. Other than that I can watch this truck burnout all day.
Where you get that trd hat from?
I got it at work they order it from Toyota directly
Bad ta dah bolt n raw ta dah steel
8:33, you call that a burnout?
Yes I do when it is not my truck and I don't want to sit there and destroy $1000 worth of tires that are not mine....... The owner encouraged me to do more but again the truck does not belong to me. Trust me if that truck wanted to roast them until they pop it will.
1:36 wow!
yes sir wow is right....... now that it is warmer weather it does not spin as much but it puts you back in your seat
Where did u get the bedside decal?
The co that installed the Supercharger does the 3m clear bras and put that on it for him as a gift
Chuck Does Stuff do u have the name of the company? wanna do a similar decal for my silver sky supercharged tundra
I thought 0-60 was 4.5-4.8 5.5 is pretty slow for a supercharged Tundra
Nvm I noticed it's lifted
I have no clue what the stock does but this is much quicker than a stock one.... even with the larger wheels and tires..... I have no clue what the new ctsv 0-60 or how fast they run but over the weekend I watched thunder rolls keep on the door of a ctsv from a stop up to faster than I care to ride on my bike
Chuck Does Stuff maybe a CTS or CTS VSport, but not a CTS V! Which has around 100hp More than that Tundra!
All I am saying is what I saw....... unless it was a cts V clone (which it could be)....... I don't know because I did not stop to get a closer look (ie look under the hood).
🔥🔥🔥
He must have a big budget for gasoline lol. Cool truck.
John Doe he does..... all joking aside he has and continues to work very hard at what he does and I hope to be 1/2 as successful as he is.
Sick
Yes it is and check out Sundays Video it will have more of that Truck in it!!
Not too bright ratting out your local exhaust shop for altering an emissions device….
Real nice truck! Put some shine on those tires tho👍
