I have a 2008 Tundra Crewmax Limited Supercharged with over 189k miles on it. I’ve never had any issues with the engine and still running like new. I get phenomenal horsepower! I live in Colorado so it comes in handy driving over mountain passes like nothing.
Handy Toyota did an absolutely outstanding job on my new truck! This custom Tundra is one of a kind and exactly what the Handy Toyota team specializes in delivering! I couldn't be happier with the service and hospitality offered by their team; well worth the drive from several hundred miles away. After I received the truck, it installed a new King OEM performance suspension with remote reservoirs and compression adjustment (similar to the TRD Pro, but a much better overall suspension). In addition, some new 20x9" wheels and 33" BFG KO2's and Auburn Gear Pro LSD completed the install for one fun ride! If you're looking for a custom Toyota (or Tundra), definitely look up the Handy Toyota team! Their technicians, sales, and management staff are top notch and eliminate the headaches of dealing with traditional dealerships. After an awful lot of research, I knew what I wanted and this was the only dealership that did not dick around the way that most do... couldn't be more satisfied!
J.P. Knauss Thanks for taking the time to leave the positive comments! We appreciate your business greatly J.P. Feel free to email me over some pictures to Kward@handycars.com and we can post them on the Facebook for Toyota Tundra Platinum (you should come follow us).
I am interested in the supercharger and i know they have been discontinued but are there any supercharges still available that have not been sold yet? I want one so bad!!!!
+Handy Toyota This made me sad. Haha, that's the exact TRD Pro setup I wanted when I went out and bought a F-150 because no one would order it like that here in the Nashville area. Dang, I'm sure it'll sell fast. Unless you guys want to trade for a low mileage 2015 F-150. Lol.
Wow that's good to hear. I might have to talk with my dealer then. I am running 35s so mpg sucks. Hopefully supercharger will help me out alot. Plus all that power will be fun also.
Toyota has discontinued it for the majority of dealers. However, it is still availiable via the original company that made the superchargers for toyota, “magnusson.” I recommend you check out them in conjunction to sparks toyota in South Carolina. Pricing is around 6999&+tax and installation labor fees.
Let me tell you not because I got a supercharger in my Toyota Tundra 2012 and the warranty is not covered or if it's something happened with that supercharger it's not come in the original truck because Toyota say is aftermarket parts
+Nikolay Grigoryev Gee, I'm impressed. Could your Celica also haul over 2000 lbs, tow over five tons, carry a five man crew to the work site, and handle off-road trails with advanced 4x4 traction control, all in such relative luxury and comfort?
Nikolay Grigoryev You missed the point. When hauling expensive tools, equipment, or similar (tasks normally associated with a truck), security is often a concern. It was worth mentioning, especially when not all such trucks (hell, few cars) come with elaborate security systems, making it relatively unique. Look up the definition. It can mean "one of a few" just as much as "one of a kind." As for Toyota "becoming cheaper" for not having it "on every model," name one other manufacturer who puts a security system (with or without glass break sensor) on all of their vehicle models. Nobody does it, so your criticism of Toyota here again is pure hogwash. By the way, that glass break sensor, with wiring, adjustable sensitivity, compatible alarm system, programming, registration, and similar, costs a bit more than your 5 bucks. Download the installation instructions to see all that is involved.
All modern cars come with a basic alarm system. The price of a GBS for a car manufacturer is a few cents at most. All it is is a microphone, a plug and some additional programing. The reason why they don't do it on all models is so they can charge you for it. It's like an airline charging you for your carryon when it used to be free. Actually Toyota used to do that. Both models of the Celica came with a GBS stock.
There's absolutely no reason for this supercharger. Especially for a truck as big and heavy as the tundra is. I own a 2014 5.7 and this truck flexes it's muscle really good. Haul's anything and everything. Superchargers are for sports cars. With the Ford lighting being the exception. A supercharger sounds good, but no.
