Returnal is a third-person shooter roguelike video game developed by Housemarque and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was released for the PlayStation 5 on April 30, 2021 and is set to release on Windows in early 2023. The game follows Selene Vassos, an astronaut who lands on the planet Atropos in search of the mysterious "White Shadow" signal and finds herself trapped in a time loop. Returnal received generally favorable reviews for its visuals, combat, audio design and technical achievements, though its difficulty and roguelike design were met with mixed opinions. It won several end-year accolades, including Best Game at the 18th British Academy Games Awards. The game sold 560,000 units by July 2021.

@@sergvol3388 Horizon Zero Dawn had a rough launch on PC. They fixed it, it runs amazing. Not a trash port at all. I can't vouch for Uncharted or Sackboy since I haven't played them.

I have huge sttuter with RT On with my RTX 3070, wthout RT Epic settings and native 1440p runs buttery smooth
the 3070 has only 8gb of Vram,thats not enough vram for RT in this game, just look up some benchmarks, on 1440p the game eats like 7-8gb of vram without RT and 8-9gig with RT + windows uses like 800mb Vram
@@Jericco8 I said that just because in this video runs perfectly with RT. In other games I don´t even care about RT
@@_Tesla_Corp._ i have a 3070 too and believe me,it runs good at the beginning but the longer you play the more vram is needed,i turned down texture and the setting above that, i believe its called modelquality or something like that and the vram is at 6-7gb usage without RT, the game has still some stutters but they are not vram related

ok so my i7 12700 & 3070 fe combo can do 60+ fps only with dlss quality at 1440p ultra

Can I expect same performance with a Ryzen 5 5600x instead?
5800x3D is one of the best gaming CPUs out there. 5600x is a decent step down from it.
The game doesn’t seem to be cpu limited so you should be fine

not really, 16gb should be enough,the game doesn't eat your ram like Hogwarts.
I'm not sure but I think I'm hitting memory limit on my 3070ti with raytracing medium settings as it hovers close to 100 aside from boss fights where it dies
Rivatunner can help you verify that. Try to lower texture settings to see if things improve.

Good video, good port I gotta admit. The PS5 version is actually running at just 1080p shading, so the 3070 easily does better.
better textures, shadows etc too. 1440p DLSS quality will look better aswell
