I know KAT is not currently 32. Maybe it was confusing, but what I was saying was that WHEN Ant is 25 (he's 22 right now) and KAT and Rudy are declining...Ant will have had 4 years of winning and playoff experience that will have formed him greatly. I am a Wolves fan. I DO NOT THINK KAT IS 32 RIGHT NOW LMAO. Gotten a lot of comments thinking that. Also, if you'd like to follow me on twitter here's my handle: twitter.com/Matt_Throne

Honestly, it’s a Monty Williams thing right now. He wasn’t a good coach in Phoenix and was masked by having an elite roster. Any coach would’ve won 60+ games with those Suns teams. But Monty was the ultimate reason the Suns didn’t win the championship. He had poor defensive schemes, like constantly going for single coverage against guys like Giannis, Luka and Jokic. On top of this, he didn’t utilize his best players. In his last playoff series with the team, he was electing to play a mediocre Landry Shamet and some guy named Ish Wainwright (???) over guys like Terrence Ross and TJ Warren. He had an 8-0 record with KD and Okogie starting together, and what did he do when the playoffs started? Moved Okogie to the bench.
The Pistons have tried to surround Cade with solid players. They’ve added Jaden Ivey to be his running mate, Bojan Bogdanovic is a good veteran and scoring presence to have around, they’ve got a large stock of young big men, etc. And what has Monty been doing? Electing to start Killian Hayes alongside Cade Cunningham, which makes zero sense in any universe.

@@hardwood_yt I’m a die hard suns fan. I love Monty to death. With his story and the adversity he faced, he should legitimately have a movie made about him. Because the basketball fan in me hates him. But the human in me wants him elected president of the United States. It feels like he’s used his position to elevate guys into a life of getting paid NBA money who maybe wouldn’t have it or last much longer. Ish Wainwright had no business being in the NBA but Monty ensured he got paid. Landry Shamet is mediocre as a player and doesn’t belong anymore, but I’m certain Monty endured he got paid. With Killian he sees a kid who got drafted too high and is being destroyed from a reputation standpoint, and Monty is giving him chances. I hate the coaching version of him, but he’s a special type of human. It felt like he knew Phoenix’s championship window closed so he made his priority getting dudes paid, which I can respect. Because he also did try his best to get them a title. It Monty’s biggest blunders in Phoenix were that he went for single coverage against 3 of the NBA’s top 10 players, which was a mistake.

Had multiple shots to take the lead, and it seemed insurmountable. Pretty much losing to a bench is the most embarrassing thing I’ve heard of and to be on a streak like this that rivals Lebron leaving a hopeless cavs team, and a tanking 76ers team. Cade is also ruining his own career with his pitiful play. He may not be a complete bust but if we’re re-drafting he was definitely overhyped and isn’t going #1.
Scottie Barnes looks like potentially the next Kawhi.
Alperen Sengun is blossoming into a poor man’s Jokic.
Josh Giddey does everything better than Cade and commits way fewer turnovers.
Evan Mobley is a dominant post player.
I would take all those guys over him in a re-draft.

Troy Weaver is indeed this bad of a GM. He's shown it on a consistent basis he's incompetent. Monty has also shown time over time he's not that good of coach, when you have a mediocre coach who doesn't want to coach, doing it basically just because of money this is what happens, plain and simple. I get that he's got 3 of the worst players in the league in Wiseman, Bagley and Stewart, but he's the one that insists on starting Stewart on a consistent basis, regardless of the fact that everyone can see it's an absolute disaster.

Monty Williams is slowly becoming the 2nd coming of Doc Rivers. Started off great with the first team, turned them around, make some key acquiring and went to the Finals. Then it went downhill. The following teams could never quite get it done. They have some good young players in Detroit. They shouldn’t be this bad. I remember some fools talking about Cade becoming the best PG in Pistons history. Absolute nonsense and disrespectful to Zeke and even Chauncey at 2. Bro got a LONG way to go and as a PG on a historically losing team, it doesn’t look good.

Then when inevitably the poor culture and losing becomes insurmountable they call you a bust. But hey you got a big signing bonus right? It's better to be a late rounder coming into a winning org.
