Hope you can pin this but I want to point out the numbers are a bit outdated. The most firm one I have is the Veteran Suicide. It's now doubled. Last year in 2018 we lost about one veteran every hour to suicide. I want to say the math worked out to about 22 a day or something. Nearly one an hour. This problem isn't getting fixed. It's getting worse.
I gave my sanity to this country. After the things I have been through I will never be quite right in the head again. My scars are all on the inside but I feel them. Days like today remind me. Memorial day always hits super hard. 9/11, today, hits hard. So many brothers and sisters of mine gave their lives. Thank you for the respect to us and to first responders guys. We all appreciate it.
phreak811 from one vet to another brother, I feel your pain. Thank you for your sacrifice. If you know anyone who needs help, reach out to Mission22, they helped me out a lot. Ended up giving me a 6 month supply of mental health supplements for free.

@@luiswiley372 I am scared of mental health drugs. Did some research. They usually mask symptoms that are really there. Therapy is the only real fix. Issue is the therapy I need I can't do because I can't afford to take time away from work to do it. It's literally intensive multi hour a day sessions with home work for like 3 to 6 months. Gotta unpack everything and find a way not to repack the bad stuff. Problem is I can't afford to be off work that long. Even with VA certain bills still would fall by the wayside. So....I just keep plugging. My wife has been a saint through all this. "I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade."
phreak811 oh I totally agree, my depression medicine and sleep medication caused me to get a DUI in 2015. What I like about their product is it’s all natural vitamin supplements. They have responded well to me and I have been allowing more processing through meditation and therapy. There are no pharmaceutical medicines in them what’s so ever. But everyone has their own way of processing. Loved what you said at the end of your post. I live by that standard every single day. Hoooah!

I had to pull my car over and let out a scream. I served two tours in Iraq. And this song doesn’t get any easier to listen to. I lost several friends to suicide during and after our deployments. On this day (9/11), I thank all my brothers and sisters who served. And to all the first responders thank you for your sacrifices during that horrific day.

Thank you for not coasting by this day without taking some time to reflect, it really does mean a lot knowing that people still take some time process the events that occurred. Being a disabled veteran who was medically retired in 2013 it seems all to real that us veterans that feel disconnected with the "average civilian". But video's like this are a welcomed reminder that we are not alone and not forgotten. Thank you.

I love what they stand for it's really out spoken and direct. The whole cd is about vet's. And we should do more to help them no matter what if they need help we need to be there for them. Every where I go to eat if there's a vet I always pay for there food. It's the least I can do for them. Thank God for our vet's. My father was a vet USMC and I respect there sacrifices. He died in April he was proud of serving his country. So to ask you vet's. THANK YOU. AND GOOD BLESS

First off, I love that you and your kids do this. The basis of your channel is who I aspire to be as a father myself. Second I am a GWOT and OIF veteran. I watch all of your videos, however I struggled to watch this reaction. This song and video with it is difficult to sit through. I do appreciate your response to it. Sometimes we, even myself, having gotten into the civilian workforce and am a success story, forget why and what sacrifices are made. Thank you for this channel! Thank you for this reaction. I know its not known music in the US but for Australians and New Zealanders the song And the band played waltzing Matilda is about our ww1 involvement. Its not the original but my favourite version is by John Williamson. I think this song would blow you mind.
You guys should also do Five Finger Death Punch - "Gone Away", In my opinion, it is sadder than Wrong Side of heaven, because it has to do with the soldier's families.
Another good one would’ve been their video for When the Seasons Change.

Glad to see this didn't get blocked in Australia (blocked pretty much everywhere else outside the US). What's weird is that I'm about to publish a new version without the video for the ROW and this version will be blocked in Australia and NZ. Copyrights are so random. That being said glad you enjoyed and happy to hear that things a bit better in the land down under.
@@ChemicalReactions Ah, it's OK. I'm used to opening a new tab and watching the video that way. They are missing the point by blocking so much stuff on RUclips. Our veterans get a veterans pension and other health benefits which means that the majority don't end up on the street or worse. We have ANZAC Day - our version of Veteran's Day and that is sacred to me. Cheers Chuck.

A friend if mines son's vehicle was blown up, her son is alive but all his buddies were killed. He is going to be all right physically, but after living through that and his brothers being killed he will never be all right. He has a long painful journey ahead of him. He hasn't gotten out of the hospital yet so PLEASE PLEASE SEND YOUR PRAYERS FOR ALL THESE MEN! When she got the news she couldn't do anything because he was overseas in Germany in the hospital. The parents need our prayers e everyday also. My son couldn't serve due to health problems but I know my baby could be over there getting killed. Thank you for all those who are serving or have served and GOD BLESS EVERYONE.

I really don't understand why so many almost hate FFDP. For me their music is just great, and also the lyrics are well written & meaningful, usually with a relevant/important message.
