- Offered exclusively in 4×4 guise and featuring the Japanese firm’s familiar 2.4-litre, 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine - which makes an unchanged 110 kW and 400 Nm - the Raider X can be specified with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic transmission with the same number of cogs.
From what we can tell, the Raider X derivatives have (temporarily) replaced the standard Raider 4×4 variants in the local Hilux double-cab range, though the length of this limited production run is unclear.
Manual Raider X coming in at R674 800 and the self-shifting version pegged at R704 300

As I watch this video, probably 10 Toyota Hiluxes have been stolen😩..... beautiful cars these ones but it would be difficult to own one having to live in fear constantly

I'd honestly buy this it has all you really need and the fact that its a manual makes it better .
I fully agree with you. There are other options you can go with, which offers more features at a lesser price. The likes of the prev-gen Ranger or even the P-Series.
You’ll end up spending more on repairs, these vehicles cancel each other out, plus this car retains its value even after 150k km
If you live in Limpopo and or it’s rurals, you can get a hilux. My dad has one from 2000 and it's still running. There's barely car theft in Limpopo either.

Simple, buy this car and get it to the dyno for more power and torque. Im sure the 2.4 can do about 140kN and 550 N.M
I love the Hilux but I prefer the Mitsubishi Triton please do a Triton review
I'm a Toyota Hilux enthusiast and I drive one at work the 1KD. The Triton is awesome 👌. I love the feel and the performance of the Triton, 178 horsepower which put the hilux 2GD 2.4 behind. I don't know why Toyota didn't bump up the horsepower on the 2GD to rival the Triton.
