Finding Joy in simple pleasures, that pretty much sums it up for life. And not dwelling on the past, lost family and friends, and loss in health status. Finding what helps you move forward with joy in each day❤
You are right , never dwell on the past and things beyond your control , find little joy in your day to day activities, do what makes you happy , you have a duty to yourself
Thank you, Margaret and blessings on your new year. It has been a tough holiday season for me. I'm a very bad patient and was sick through it all. Missed Christmas services and singing. Some "friends" went silent at Christmas and I wonder why. Need to count my blessings which really are many, but the malaise is here and feeling low. Sometimes it just happens and this too shall pass. Thanks for listening.
Thank you for this thoughtful video, Margaret. In the novel Demon Copperhead, I loved the “save the juice” game-changer concept from Chartrain, Demon's buddy in rehab toward the end of the book, that you only have so much juice and can’t use it up on people or situations that have little to no impact on your life. It’s a skill you can develop, like weight training. Do the reps and you get stronger. The main point being save your juice for the people and activities that matter most in your life. It's hard to do in these turbulent times, but a good goal!
Thank you for the great tips. Love your happy spirit! ❤ Taking control of our mind instead of letting media take control of it is a big challenge! Yoga Nidra at night is magical! It always totally relaxes me. My most important tool is staying connected with my spiritual source for true peace!
I sing in my church choir , and this brings me peace. After a long day at work being in my nice cozy house brings me peace.....I also love battery operated candles! I have them lit so pretty in my home.
Thank you for putting it all in perspective and keeping us grounded. Being kind in a turbulent unsettling world is my contribution and listening to music and walking are so vital for the soul. Happy New Year!
I’m listening to Michael Jackson (born same year as me in 1959) and dancing in my house to cope Oh ya…. And taking down all my Christmas decorations! lol.
That sounds like a fantastic way to lift your spirits and have some fun! Dancing to Michael Jackson is always a great choice-his music has such an infectious energy. Taking down Christmas decorations while grooving to some classic hits sounds like a perfect combination of productivity and joy. Keep dancing and enjoying the moment! If there's anything more you'd like to share or talk about, I'm here for you. Wishing you continued joy and a wonderful start to the year! 🌟🎶😊💖 Sending you positive vibes and a virtual dance move! 🕺💃💖
The world is spinning out of control, Margaret, all around us. I'm familiar with Mel Robbins. In any case, it's very angst-producing. TFS. I hope your new year is wonderful. Rosemarie 🩷
Now more that ever peace in ones life is imperative these days. I strive for this every moment Bring myself back to center . We however have to put these tools into practice and be as diligent as possible . It can be challenging but every day is a reset day ❤️
That is a good idea, I love learning new things too. I wonder if it's best to go outside to learn or use the Internet. I suppose more economical with the Internet.
Good Thursday afternoon 🎉 🎊, I'm just focus on managing my health and wellness. And just 🙏 Pray on the rest that is not in my control. I do not watch the 🗞️📰 news , I listen to 🎶🎵 music but, I do stay informed.
Especially with what’s happening here in the US- New Orleans & Las Vegas were US Army soldiers ( God help us!) I’ve become closer to God- such joy & peace. I’m not a group joiner… But I never stop learning …😊
I need to feel less displaced to get my 165/? blood pressure down. I tried to leave Los Angeles, but nowhere fits, and as a fifth generation CA, why is it me who has to leave. I taught overseas, and can't get home. Friends lied. blah blah blah
@diannesurine9068 yes, lol that was the year I was born. My grandchildren find it hard to believe when I tell them about the Jackson Five and the story of how he became Michael Jackson😁
Michael Jackson was born on **August 29, 1958**. It's easy to mix up the years, especially when we've known someone's music for so long. Thanks for pointing that out! Do you have a favorite Michael Jackson song or memory?
@@hmp9468 That's such a wonderful story to share with your grandchildren! Michael Jackson's journey from the Jackson Five to becoming one of the greatest performers of all time is truly remarkable. It's fascinating to think about his incredible talent and the impact he had on the music world. Your grandchildren are lucky to hear these stories from you. It must be special for them to learn about the musical legends you grew up with and see the excitement in your eyes as you share those memories.
You’re so delightful Margaret. Thank you for your uplifting spirit❤️

I like to crochet/knit or sew. It calms me when the whole world seems crazy.
Me too. It’s a lifesaver.
I have started journaling, it was fun decorating it today and writing something positive about my day.
Yes! As I used to tell my kids, we have a 100% success rate in getting through our days so far. We can get through this! ❤
I love that. Thanks for sharing it.
