You're looking at Doc Holliday, the new ambulance camper conversion build series. If you saw the Manbulance series, then you know this build is going to be even more off the chain than the last one. Powered by the legendary 7.3L Powerstroke diesel, this 4x4 Ford F350 that only has 43k miles on the clock is the perfect candidate for William's build. If you want to see magic happen, then stick around as the upgrades are taking place while you read this. If you like schoolies, camper vans, shuttle buses or any time of camper conversion that stick around, we have a lot of great content in store for you!
This episode William installs the Android powered tablet radio that will also display his gauges via the OBD port via bluetooth capabilities. William reviews all of the in-depth procedures, pitfalls and minor hacking needed to complete this easy head unit radio installation on this Ford F350.
I guess doc holiday didn't make it...
For those folks who want to try this, do note that some (usually the cheap ones) OBD links are not meant to be left plugged in all the time as they will slowly drain the battery.
I just watched the last build that he decided to sell, very excited he's doing another. I notice this is 8 months old and am curious if there will still be a build series/tour video when it's done? 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Can’t wait to see him add the 360 camera!
I am interested in this system that you have in your ambulance and I would like to know if you could send me the information. I would appreciate it very much you picked up everything and how I can get this system attached to mine thank you have a blessed day
I've noticed the last upload was over a year ago. What's going on? Is it finished?
I have a 1988 E350 7.3 Ambo. Think it would work? Ha
Would this work in a single DIN slot?
Looks great!
They do have single din versions
Also, especially for your lifestyle of off grid camping, there's a really good offline maps app that has terrain data and everything that I use when I'm out in the boonies. It is called OSMAnd+ but it has to be downloaded from an alter active app store called F-Droid. It has a ton of useful features and will function completely off the GPS satelites and doesn't need to be online.
Maps & GPS Navigation OsmAnd+ (Global Mobile Map Viewing & Navigation for Offline and Online OSM Maps) - f-droid.org/packages/net.osmand.plus
Okay but “stuck in the middle of nowhere,” still requires a phone signal does it not?
what obd bluetooth adapter are you using ???
I also use the OBD Link on mine! ❤️
When is the next episode coming up?
Here's my setup. I have an LTE enabled tablet and was taking calls on it via Google Voice for the ride sharing apps I was driving for. I had an F250 in Texas and did a different setup on there which you can see in the recommendations at the end of this video.

HAHAHA "look like a Tesla"
Hello Modern Greaser, first time commenting on your channel. I Live in Orlando FL and can't seem to find any used ambulances near or in FL, where did you search to find Doc Holiday type ambulance?
Have a Suburban with the infotainment center. This hits all but OnStar. How would I go about adding that to the Tablet? There is an app but to have this talk to the vehicle how would that happen? Thank you for sharing this. Just saved me 2K going with this instead of a new system being installed.
Any new videos coming for the conversion of the ambulance?
Low key flipping us all the bird during this video 😆
OBDLink has a dedicated app that works better than Torque. I want to buy that unit and modify it to work with my tablet! I built mine from scratch.
I have the obdlink app but have not messed with it but I will now for sure.
Damn 200 bucks for all that is bad ass
Sweet!! Gonna order and install this before we hit the road in a few weeks!! Thanks for the info!! Can't wait to see the build you do on this one, we've followed your progress on your last build from beginning to end :)
Thank you it was a lot of fun and learned a lot.
Can I buy this?!?
Can't wait to see the new journey of the new build
