Is it possible to sail in the Caribbean during hurricane season. We think so and hope that this and our last few videos have shown you that you can too.
Watch our liveaboard life and what it's really like to live full-time on a 46ft Venus Ketch. We sail from anchorage to anchorage, country to country living off-grid most of the time.
We are a real genuine couple that are not out to impress, we are who we are and enjoy life to the full.
Follow us each Friday to find out where we are and what we’ve been up to.
Our videos are no more than 2 weeks behind real time.
We intend to SAIL AS FAR AS WE CAN FOR AS LONG AS WE CAN.
Thanks for watching, The Cordelians Steve, Annette & Gus 🥰 ⛵️ 🐾

I hope you enjoyed them. Life isn't always as mad as that on board Cordelia 🤣 🥰 ⛵️
You guys are absolutely wonderful! We love watching you more than any other channel out there. Of course we are a 71 & 63 year old couple who have just left on our great adventure. On our way to the Bahamas for winter ‘24 from Lake Michigan. We are in New York right now.
Keep doing your thing. Be real, be you.
Awwwww thank you, what a fabous comment. So pleased you enjoy the channel and us.
Super pleased you're heading out on your adventure. Have great fun 😍
We're heading north this winter as far as BVIs, so a little way from you but you never know 😊 🥰
The great apple controversy! 😆
I know I'm right 😅 😂 🤣
Annette can eat the apple any way she wants even if she’s wrong! Wow the outtakes were hilarious 😂
Thank you and I will. Glad you enjoyed the outtakes 😂 🤣
😂 cheers guys!
Hope you enjoyed it :)
Oh my goodness! Those outtakes! 😂😂😂
Surely, Gary walks around holding a 2ltr bottle too? 😅 😂 🤣
The apple... the beard snacks!!! 🍎😂
He is disgusting at times 😅 😂 🤣
Love the outtakes 😂😂🤣
Thank you 😅 😂 🤣 Glad you enjoyed them
Hi guys. I have to agree with Steve the way he eats his apple 🤣. Xx
NO NO NO NO, always up and down not round and round lol xx
Steve, I feel your pain. Hair in placers you didn't know you had. Ears, nose and my eye brows can look like paint brushes. Annette you're eating the apple wrong. 😂. Are those Steve's breakfast pants. Love and miss you both.
Like paintbrushes, never heard that saying before but it did make us laugh 😂 🤣.
Steve is running out of pants lol
Love & miss you both too xx
Loved the banter guys. Excellent video one again. Cheers
Thanks guys, hope you are all well 🥰
Apples should be sliced and eaten with a fork 👍 (while wearing apple eating pants) Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.
SLICED, Sliced, sliced........Don't tell Steve that because he'll expect me to do just that and create designs on a plate when dishing them up lol. Apple eating pants 😂 🤣.
Thanks for your support 🥰
I thought that the 'Outtakes' were a little short this week!!
All the best to you both, Richard
OMG, you are so quick off the mark and sooooo funny 😂 🥰 ⛵️
Hi Annette, Steve, Gus, good vlog thanks for sharing. Ur right about the reef system, we as humans have alot to Answer for. They looked like really yummy pink lady apples, an Annette u can eat ur Apple and dam way u like. I can definatley see the beauty of those islands, oh and Steve in know of a place they lick their bowls, Lesbos🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and I'll never drink out of a plastic bottle again. I now need psychological therapy. Love ya 3. Oh and is there an address to send stuff ur way.🐶👍🌞 I've had an idea, u need to get a talking parrot, oh what fun that would be. Did u get the medication I mentioned?
Thank you, I will eat my apples any damned way I like 😅 😂 🤣.
Yes, Grenada and her islands are beautiful and easy to sail around too.
Okay, it took me a while but Steve laughed his pants off with Lesbos 😂 🤣.
I'll send address via messenger :)
Thank you so much for the continued support xx 🥰 ⛵️🐾
Haha, you can eat the apple however you want surely?! I’m a eater all around 1st, then top to bottom 😂 Graham is also a plate licker 😂
I think I prefer the cake licker to window licker 🤣🤣
Thanks for watching & commenting and apples should be eaten up and down not round and round 🤣🤣🥰
8:25 gotta agree with Steve, I normally eat around..although we buy most fruit in cans, only because we find it counterproductive to buy fresh, eat one or two bits, then nobody eats it, and it goes bad.. (except bananas) we buy them fresh and they get eaten..
We can't enough fruit here. It seems that apples are a rarity as they come from the US and generally they are weeks old before they reach the shop, so we were lucky with these.
Plenty of local fruit but not necessarily what we would eat 🥰 ⛵️
Thanks for your support Trev & Wendy xx
Greetings from Puget Sound Washington. I'd say you're eating the apple 🍎 wrong lol. The snorkeling looked great. Hope you both are doing well.
NO NO NO, I am right with the apple...up and down not round and round 😅 😂 🤣
Not the gonna lie, I'm alitte jealous, wish I was stuck down there lol
And I agree with Steve, older we get the weirder and longer the random hairs lol
Its so humid though, we definitely aren't going to be here next summer 😍
Its a man thing that really needs to be kept a SECRET to men 😅 😂 🤣
Yes you can sail in the caribbean, or any other hurricane/cyclone/typhoon area in storm season, but SHOULD you? I firmly beleive its an unnecessary risk. Most years you will be ok, but the one time that you arent ok could be the end of everything.
Thanks for your comment. Of course there is a risk but we placed ourselves in the southern area of the Caribbean and if something nasty did head our way, we could have gone further south again. Our cruising ground over hurricane season has only been Grenada & her islands so the risk was less. We were not advocating cruising the entire Caribbean. We were just showing that cruising doesn't have to stop for hurricane season if you're careful where you sail 😊⛵️
@@SailingSVCordelia unfortunately you may not get any warning. St Martin was hit by a storm a few years ago that suddenly spun up overnight and hit at dawn. There was little or no warning. Grenada and the southern islands have been hit by storms in the past. There is no such thing as no risk.
@@deerfootnz Yes you are right there is no such thing as no risk. I did say this. However, cruising during hurricane season can be done as we have shown. We would not put ourselves at higher risk by being in St Martin or any further north. 😊
@@SailingSVCordelia my point being that it can happen in Grenada as well. There have been several hurricanes in Grenada, Trinidad etc, including a severe storm in 2004
@@deerfootnz Oh yes, we realised that when we sailed south, although the risk is less ⛵️
For what it's worth, I'm with Steve when it comes to apples. I wonder if it's a gender thing.
NOOOOOOOOooooooooo........Apples should be eaten down and round not round and round lol 😂 🤣
