I always felt Winters had the easiest time finding professional office work apparel since Navy, Burgundy, Grey & black are so abundant in professional attire (suits) Same with athleisure wear -lots of black, grey & navy options, not so much camel/brown or teal options.
I wish you would have shown models like Nicole Kidman for each palate
This is great! So much easier to get a sense of the seasons when only have to compare the best and worst colours for each.
Great video ladies. #1 reason I knew I couldn't be warm spring besides being cool was orange is awful on me.
I am happy I found you two because I am getting there.
I have been wearing sometimes accidentally best sometimes not my best all my life.
As a Cool Winter:
My best color: Emerald Green
My worst color: Baby Puke Yellow 🤮
The thing with Nicole is her hair color, she goes from her natural light/med red to very pale blonde depending on the role.
Yes, I wonder if she'd be a warm spring with her natural red hair.
@@markjordan433yes. I think she'd be a warm spring if she was with her natural strawberry blonde hair. That was her look in Far and Away (?), an old movie with Tom Cruise. She also had natural curly hair at that time. I've seen her in an interview where she said that one of her biggest regrets was straightening her hair.
Wow, I totally agree. Soft teal is my best color. I get compliments whenever I wear it.
I have to respectfully disagree. I’m a Winter (I don’t fit comfortably into any one subtype but undoubtedly Winter*). Light and muted colors (like the beiges and peaches and whatever that yellow was) are terrible on me, but nothing, absolutely NOTHING is as bad as rust. Beigey colors drain all the color from me. Rust (and all its neighbors) makes me look like a feverish, angry tomato that hasn’t showered in a week.
When I was in my 20s I wore a sweater that is best described as paprika (including some heathering) and a brown skirt one day, then I caught a glimpse of myself in the bathroom mirror… that was the moment I became seriously interested in color analysis.
*the classic jewel tones of Cool Winter are undoubtedly my best colors, with a crisp classic nave getting the chef’s kiss. However, I can push a little warmer than a Cool Winter should be able to. A yellow that I think of as banana cream is a solid B and if I’m strategic about it I can pull off a tangerine. I need more depth than Clear Winter has to offer but Deep can get heavy. But start bringing in any hint of brown and I’m out, and the dusty mid-tone pinks of summer are also out (though a muted blue or green can be inoffensive at least). Bottom line- I know my best colors, my worst colors, what I can get away with, where I can employ a cheat in the form of a navy cardigan, and what I should never count on being able buy online on the first try.
I believe the beige & yellow shown during the Winter portion were clearly marked as *worst* colors
@@yensid4294 yes. And I agree they’re bad but they’re not the worst for me
Well, rust is an extremely warm color that makes sense 😂 same point
the reason They chose baige is because its lighter, softer and warm and low contrast so it's wrong on All aspects
Couldn’t agree more on this!! Anything rust is awful on me too!! I can’t wear yellows either and it’s my least liked color. I don’t own anything in those colors and never will for the reasons you mentioned. Jewel tones for the win for winters haha!!
I feel confirmed that I have found my palette. I’m still in learning but very much wearing my deep autumns the majority of the time.
It's a great time to be a autumn right now. I'm finally finding lots of autumn shades in fashion and make up. ❤
You should do the Olympics especially the gymnastics. It keeps me thinking about who wears their colors best and which team over all looks best. There are a few that really stand out good and bad but I thinks it’d be interesting to see what you would say and if I am learning right.
But Olympians don’t wear colors to match their seasons, they’re wearing the colors of their countries flags. (Probably not the most flattering colors on very many people).
@@cosmicalchemist8219 I know but it’d be a way to compare and they do have designers doing them. They have the team ones and their own . It’s not always about what you want to wear like uniforms or jerseys or leotards. Designers could do some thought on how to design them for the team they have . Heck even just slight variation or placement of the colors. I just think it’d be interesting seeing them side by side and not just one person wearin an outfit and not seeing what looks like if it’s wrong or right.
@@cosmicalchemist8219 and I mean all the countries not just ours .
That’s a great idea! I think I’ll try it while I’m watching tonight’s coverage. But it would be a fun topic for Lucinda and Sarah to cover, too. 😂
I second (or third) this suggestion! It would be a change from them analyzing celebs from awards nights, Met Gala & the likes. And yes, feature athletes from different countries! 👍
With your playlists, where is the best place to start to work out which season I am?
Same question. I have dark hazel eyes, light olive skin, warm light brown hair and my best colors are tomato red, bright orange, chrome yellow, and olive green. Pastels are horrid on me but I love them, just can't wear them.
So confusing.
Yep I can wear purple/violet as long as it isn't too pale or too dusty/soft/muted
Good video thanks ladies. I would have liked to have seen people as examples, like you showed with Nicole, but still very informative. Thanks again 😊
A really interesting video. „Exspecially“ did get a bit distracting though. It’s nice to see the interactions and banter between you both
As a cool summer who is a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan, I really feel the pain of the not-so-good colors.
As always, your videos are both informative and enjoyable to watch!
Well I'm definitely soft! Dusty pink and soft teal are two of my best colors. Unfortunately so many of my clothes are bright clothes people gave me from places like India haha
Can’t wait for the color analysis ❤
Thanks ya'll ❤
good stuff, thank you from Germany!
Great video! Can you do an updated one when you get to the 16 system please?
so blessed ive found u to, i continue to gain the u derstanding and wisdom from u girls....i cant wait till u do the -6 season pallette!!!!!!
Oh I get this. My daughter is 100% clear spring. Brilliant strawberry wavy curls, naturally peachy cheeks, gold freckels, and Brilliant turquoise eyes. We went on a last min outting and needed a rain coat and she picked this dusty mauve shade lol I kept mouth shut lol ❤😂 team let them be little. She did ask for "more of that peachy color I always buy her" 😂❤
As someone in the bright winter season, yes, orange and yellow are terrible for me. I have a visceral reaction to seeing those colors sometimes. I would add oatmeal to the list of tragic colors for me, though. I’m very fair, so it just makes me look like I’m recently deceased.
Hello ! I do not want to be rude but I wonder why being so good, accurate at choosing the right colours do you wear this blue grey dress ? I would love to hear the answer as I am sure you cannot be wrong with such a choice. I truly enjoy your videos !
I've never been analyzed, but I suspect I have a cooler undertone. I also have gotten multiple compliments when wearing that blue you showed for cool summer (never on the clothing I'm wearing, just that I look nice). Starting to narrow it down!
No I had it done in 1982
Great video, thank you!
Very much agree pink looks awful and my students always want pink. I tell them ima purple girl. Now I think deep teal or dark green are very nice. But totally agree on pink.
Cosair I think is the name or slightly darker
You can see how aging that deep burgundy is on Nicole Kidman. That's what I looked like when I did ash blonde hair.
My understanding forest green is a cool color!!!!!! Am I wrong?????
❤
❤❤❤
😄
I think you really have to have examples of the different color classifications. You simply can’t just talk about them. Additionally, how about real people examples,or are there legal problems with that.
