      Same here-was just correctly analyzed as a True Spring at age 60 (after being called an Autumn in the 80s) and am loving my correct tones! I had dark blonde hair and hazel eyes, and back in the 80s, they thought Springs couldn’t have dark eyes. Enjoy your correct colors!!

    I'm an autumn in the four season system, and I've been scratching my head trying to figure out whether I'm deep enough to be deep or warm enough to be warm, then thinking I might be soft (even though I know soft colours arrive in the room before me)... I'm deep, warm, and CLEAR! So much of what I have figured out through trial and error now makes perfect sense - it's all because of my vibrant eyes. Thank you! Would love to see more celeb examples and an in depth view of which colours suit the different dominant characteristics to get an even better understanding of the differences.

    I think I finally understood the system. I thought winters are all clear, but I cannot pull off highly saturated colors close to my chin, pale icy colors are the best. I have been scratching my head these weeks. I have carbon steel kind of cool black hair, light skin with pink undertone. My eyes, they are chocolate moving towards honey shade, but not vibrant. I am not that clear as I thought I was. Got it!

    The ‘soft’ category has been a game changer for me…especially now I am going grey. I kept being told I was a winter but winter colours are too clear for me, white , fuchsia pink and pastels look awful.I ended up leaning to deep autumn( and coloured my hair reddish brown) but with salt and pepper hair I’m definitely cool not warm. Soft cool and deep is perfect for me! Makes so much sense!

    Loved this. I think there might be people who only need one or two characteristics. Like „deep“ is enough. As long as it is deep, in get warm,cool,soft or clear. They still look good. Others can do light and warm, and don’t need clear/soft as a differentiator. If I calculated this right in my head - there would be 26 seasons in a system with 3 characteristics that could be one, two or three levels of differentiation.

I am more convinced im a true autumn because my eyes are more rich than “ishy” ( i love this new term btw, haha). I can see Beyonce has a more brown ish eye color where my eyes are warm brown. Thank you for another awesome color class!

    Would love to see a video dedicated to deep and soft. I believe that’s what I am, and it’s so hard to find any color analysis videos that really apply to me. I think I’m ultimately cool, but with a light olive undertone, so even a lot of cool colors don’t perfectly suit me. And I have freckles and slight redness from reactive skin on top of the olive. I don’t think black is perfect for me, but I end up defaulting to that most of the time because so many colors end up clashing with the combo of olive/freckles/redness.

  • @BlessYourHeart254
    @BlessYourHeart254 5 дней назад

    My dominant characteristic is warmth. Looking at me at first glance with my brown hair, fair skin, and hazel eyes, I might first appear soft, but I’m really more clear because my skin is very peachy and bright. I’m a True Spring that people thought for years was an Autumn. I’m light-ish as I don’t have light eyes, but my eyes are distinct from the white. BUT the only way I found this was to get professionally analyzed. And in my case, my skin really ruled, and the drapes in the Spring tones lit up the skin, eyes, and hair. The dominance of my warmth, combined with the medium contrast, makes the quizzes and some apps misclassify me as soft Autumn. Interestingly, Vivaldi did class me as a Spring but with some percentage of Autumn, so I guess a 1/2 point for AI.

    Very good explanation. I am still confused about myself. Definitely leaning light and warm, and soft makes sense given my eye color. However, the soft palette makes me look washed out. I don't know if I agree with your approach a 100%. I've been professionally typed as Deep, Bright and Cool (in this order) even though all of the characteristics are somewhat in the middle (except deep, which is also not extremely deep, but still a dominant feature). You still might lean towards Bright (cause it's a spectrum as you said) even if other chracteristics are not fully met (you can't really tell if I am cool or warm, for example). Also my eyes are kinda vibrant, but they are still green-ish blue-ish grey-ish, but you can definitely see them on my face right away.

  • @emilyawood

    • @gamergirlmars
      @gamergirlmars 7 месяцев назад +1

      I just checked your channel there was only one video with a decent photo of you that's not tiny, but going off of that one, I think you look more Clear than anything, and arguably I think your Clearness even trumps your slight warmth. It's so hard to tell on one photo alone, but if this is the case and your hair is only light to medium brown with a reddish tint (vs. a very saturated bright red) to me, your hair looks brown to me than it does red/ginger or mahogany/auburn even. So imo your skin is super clear and bright, so are your eyes, and if so if you were to be an autumn I would probably think Soft Autumn or Warm/True Autumn. But if you're dominant trait looks to be clear more so I'd put you at a Light Spring or Warm/True Spring. I feel like Autumn's have more of a richness and deepness to them instead of clarity/brightness. I don't see any clarity in autumn's usually even blondes who are Autumn are this way. So I vote spring for you. Kettlewell also has a subtype for Spring very unique to only them and HOC called Paintbox Spring (not the same as Bright Spring or Warm Spring btw) you might opt to try it as well. For myself, I have been battling the Bright Winter vs Bright Spring battle. Or even Autumn I'm lost too lol.

      i get so confused as well! every time i think i get close to figuring it out i learn something new & reevaluate 😆. always thought i was NW, but wondered why i never got a perfect match w/ foundation lol. & in the past i have been told i have cool qualities as well. but i just found out recently that i’m a fair olive. i have like yellowish peachy gray tones, so hard to explain. i have honey brown eyes w/ a dark ring around the outer & a medium burst 💥 in the center. and like medium to dark ash brown hair (like level 5)
      i’ve been put into the deep autumn season with AI (which i know can be inaccurate) and i just don’t feel like it fully fits. and i’ve also been grouped into deep winter.
      i have watched a few videos recently that say olives look good in cool colors, which makes sense. but i’m so lost personally lol 😅

    Your videos are great. In another video someone suggested taking a photo of yourself and making it a black & white photo to determine contrast level. Is that something you do as well? Also recently saw a video about the 16 season color system and think that Dark Summer might possibly be my season. Can’t wait until your videos expand to the 16 season method since yours are so easy to understand. I was born with really dark hair and really dark eyes (look black in pictures) but I became medium ash brown hair with blue eyes (muted) in grade school.

    Totally confused with ME. In the old '80's analysis, I was Winter...no doubt, although black and white did not work well on me. I needed to go more towards a winter/oyster white and charcoal or darkest cool brown. Hair was medium ash brown and eyes are brown with navy rings around the iris. Today, hair is more has lots of silver but not totally silver and skin has gone a bit sallow. ( I'm older than dirt. I still look like death warmed over in any warmish colors, but the strong jewel tones don't work anymore. 'Tis a puzzlement. I don't know where I live in the 12 or 16 color wheel.

    Im soft, mousy hair and eyebrows, ivory skin and eyes are blue, green, grey with some yellow. Depending on light or what i wear. But really soft colors, like soft autumn and soft summer woth lots if grey in it, enhance the grey in my features making me grey... ? Not sure if I fit in summer, i like the colors, but not in the 12system seems right... wondering if I might be spring. So confused.
