- In this video, I talk about my 2007 CLK63 AMG A209 convertible, which I recently bought. It's one of the rarest modern AMGs and it has the legendary M156 V8 engine. I'm excited to dial this car in and make a few videos on it.

@@APAstronaut333 it's really an amazing car... wooww.. however i've always questions myself of where this used to sit in mercedes lines? Is it like the c-class convertible version or is it like the " e -class coupe" ?
@@ouimongate5961 yes great question, me too. I think it has more in common w the E class, than the c class But idk for sure.
@@ouimongate5961 The CLK used to be the e-class coupe and convertible in the lineup with similar pricing and engines to e-class models. However, the CLK borrows a lot from the c-class platform in terms of structure.

Just be wary of the typical M156 problems ,,but probably unlikely with such low K's.

CLK's are so cool and underrated cars, I also believe the CLK 63 is the first car the M156 motors were put into.

I’d really love to get a CLK63 coupe. The North American market only got the CLK63 black series in a hardtop but the European market got it in regular CLK63 trim. It also has quad exhaust tips unlike the CLK63 convertible in the US version which only has dual exhaust tips.

This car is beautiful and very underestimated/underrated. I bought it to swap out the 63 into my C55 but i couldnt get myself to do it. The clk63 is just to beautiful of a car to tear apart like that. Youre definitely gonna love it😎👍🏼
I bet you can find a used M156 from somewhere for a relatively reasonable price. A W203 with an M156 would be so dope!

Pretty ride. Nice color combo paint/trim/leather. I wish it had quad exhaust or, if only two, put them dead in the middle. My design gripe :). I had an 1989 560sl and totally appreciate the convertible. I'm in my 5th month of ownership of an 05 E55. About to do the lower control arms and ball joints per your video.. so thank you. Just sold my 2008 63 this May 2024 with 5600 miles. Sotheby's sold it. Possibly the nicest in the US. Hated to see it go but time to move on. Love your color.

Been keeping mine in storage for years.. quality engine build, but just watch out for that Catalytic converter. Nice car!
Amazingly clean example, well done. I was looking at an 09’ but am weary of cam wear issues. However I will keep my old trusty M113K as well , not selling that one!

I have a clk500 and I wanted this car so bad but it only came in convertible. But I just tuned my m278 e550 coupe to stage 2 and I’m very happy. All I need now are Downpipes and full exhaust
Change the rear bump to accomodate dual exhausts and get dual exhausts
