You need map knowledge for level 3. That's all. Consider watching Cub or Etho or Hypno run level 3. It's about speed and map knowledge. I was really hoping you got our with that one artifact worth 48. It's the highest I've seen anyone pull. Until next time then.
I think a big mistake on level 3 is unsneaking in order to good down blocks because shift jumping gets the job done without making noise. I believe this is what led the ward to u on the pink Shepard run causing you to die.
As someone who has seen every hermit run posted on RUclips so far (many of them twice, as seen from Tango's point of view) I can say you're definitely not the worst at this game. Every hermit, except maybe Etho and Doc, have had at least one really rough phase so far, and several of them haven't even gotten near level 3 yet.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save up enough crowns for a lackey run. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd LOVE to see a Papa K and Tango run! Love your sweet face! You did amazing in your runs and even when you didn't...we still LOVED watching it!
I think Tango would LOVE to run with all the Hermits but i think the Lackey was made to run with Zed (already done 3 times) and Papa K. Also, "I'm such an idiot..."
@Keralis A few tips from watching Cub's runs: 1. Avoid standing on soul sand when near lava - They are less than a full block so they will still let you touch the lava 2. ALWAYS sneak and DO NOT eat while on level 3 unless you are running back to level 2. The resonators there can broadcast noise through the entire level. 3. The mid-level artifact you couldn't find was on the wood ledge (requires dropping to the bottom and climbing up)
Its worth remebering that Decked Out wont he forever and Tango has said there wont be DO3 so making sure to make the most out of the game now is important. Can get back to building after it. Tango worked extremely hard on this game and i love watching everyone play it, including you Keralis so please keep the DO episodes coming
The Hermits who got to explore and learn Level 3 before it was made harder are at a massive advantage, keep it up! Once Level 4 compasses are added to Deadly, you'll be part of the crowd who are glad they did it earlier!
Not sure you noticed, but the Tactical Approach card in the shop is nice for deeper runs because the "Permanent" effect means it happens immediately, so you basically start the dungeon with 4 clank block and 4 treasure drops.
Hey Papa K!! I have a few tips regarding the Wardens! 1) Throwing the berries does nothing but anger them once they're tracking or following you. 2) They can hear you eating berries! I'd only eat if you're not in darkness, that means they're far away (careful of skulk sensors passing it on though) 3) 3 seconds after a warden sniffs, if you're within 6 blocks of it (or up to 20 blocks above it) it will raise its anger towards you. You have to try to stay away from it , even if that means having to quickly sprint away 20 blocks then sneaking again. 4) If a warden sniffs/hears you 3 times, it will attack. If you touch it even once, it will also attack. I hope that helps Papa K! I love watching your runs. They're so entertaining
You had a rough start but I know you can eventually get to level four! It’s time for a “Training Montage!” 😃🎶 It might be very fun for an episode to do a training montage with some of the fellow hermits who are finding success on runs. I think they can offer some great advice! Gem would be great for parkour training! She built a course to help herself even get used to the drip leaf parkour. Etho would be excellent for learning optimal ravager placement in the dungeon. Etho can even mind control ravagers and can show you how to make them move where you want them, even through walls. Cub can help you with out maneuvering One Eyed Willie and train you in your swimming technique using the training chamber Grian made in the waiting room. Pearl has made maps of the dungeon and has very strategic pathing she takes that avoids the worst of the hazard traps and makes her runs super smooth. And finally, Tango can go with you on a lackey run and give you ALL the inside scoops on the dungeon. He might not be the best player but he knows the dungeon well and will get you in and out of level 3 at worst and 4 at best! Hope to see you have considered this idea and done a fun Decked Out collaboration with some of the hermits. 😊
Me and my five year old were watching this from behind our hands. We felt every death in our hearts and we were clenching our butts for you. Absolutely fantastic man, so so entertaining! Loved it!
You are a winner in my heart. You got your shacky hands more under control now, do a great job at navigating through the dungeon and your clank block is always amazing, which proofs that you are very stealthy when going through. And you comentary is always entertaining, I love you runs. Don't give up! I hope you got more luck next time, especially with cards offered at the shop.
Youre doing amazing Keralis! On your first run, the confusing location was up on that ledge of made of wood with the ladder only access. There are a couple spots like that where the drop off location isnt on the main "LEVEL" but if you think of it in terms of elevation, it makes sense. On your first HARD run, the reason you got lit on fire because of the lava is an intentional design of the floor bc Tango puts Soul Sand blocks next to lava pools bc the block is SLIGHTLY lower then regular blocks and if youre too close to the edge, you will get burned. Also when it comes to the Wardens, when they are that close to you, you must try not to brush against them or its an instant aggro and youre as good as dead like with Zed's artifact. You are playing really intelligently, and you are doing a fantastic job my friend! Keep the grind, your content is always appreciated. P.S.- Seeing Bounding Strides proc for you right away in the start to get easy keys is SO satisfying and incredibly lucky with a deck of your caliber ; ), also the fact that you were paying attention that one run where you knew Bounding Strides hadnt played yet, and you used it to jump from pearls room to the piston trap cheese, and make your way to glorious victory.....BIG BRAIN MOVES!
Run #1 is basically the hardest spot in the dungeon, because it requires you to go to floor 3 first. It's up the ladder in the back. With the wardens, you want to go as slow as you need to not make noise. Going faster than you can do so silently will just lead to failed runs.
Hey Keralis, just so you know, Grian had a very similar phase on phase 3. He was extremely crestfallen at the end of his episode. You're just hitting a mental barrier. Taking a little break from decked out is all you need! You'll be rocking through the dungeon again in no time!
I never thought i could love an episode more than your “Run” episodes. Love seeing you play Decked Out. You have a great blend of good sportsmanship and ego. Xxxx. Plus i love your self talk. I do the same.
Loot and scoot does help with keys….the loot delivery system includes coins, crowns, keys and, currently, 🎃 pumpkins. Adrenaline rush causes the shaking….and I would be just the same. Deep breaths, wipe hands, walk around between runs….and most of all, have fun! ❤🎉 There was a berry bush in the Halloween house in another video…something to look for.🤷♀️
Keralis with the imposter syndrome! Your commentary is perfect as it is and your decked out runs are hands down the most entertaining there are! And you are certainly also very good at the game. You’re just blaming yourself too much when a run fails. Blame tango or blame luck, because more than likely they’re more at fault than you. And then if you like think what you can do better but there’s honestly not much. Just have fun, we certainly are.
Twelve runs on one day is indeed not the way to do it! Pace yourself my young padawan! Let the experience from two or three runs simmer and absorb into the space behind your big beautiful eyes. Let the calm thinking you do in hindsight seep in and become part of your minds' state whilst jumping around in the dungeon.
Keralis, we adore you! These runs are so much fun even when the evil beings in the 3rd level decide to smack you! You make me smile and put me in a better mental space when you drop a video and have this much fun.
keralis you're the best! i love watching your decked out runs, i don't care if you don't think you're good, you are!! you should give yourself some more credit :)
oh also when you caught on fire from the lava, it was because you were on soul sand, which is slightly shorter than a full block while lava is a full block. hope this helps!
I so feel with you with all of this... I'd be shaking as well, well, you're not shaking, I am shaking! 🙂 But I like watching these runs, your commentary is fantastic, and I love your constant references to songs and pop culture in general
Keralis, I love watching your runs (and other content)! And I DO have faith in you because you are already becoming great at Decedent Out. Watching your progress as you learn the dungeon more and more, I am simultaneously impressed and entertained. You are an absolute gem!! 🥰
You did really well Keralis! Decked Out is hard and changing the way you would normally interact with Minecraft to beat it is no small thing. Try again. I know you got this.
Keralis chose the wrong week to start doing deadly runs. Tango is like RUclips and ad blockers when it comes to Hermits saying part of the game is easy
cheap and useful idea: build a large room connected to grian's training area. Put a chest with stairs, full blocks and trapdoors. Now any hermit can come in it and train any set up they want to train some level 3 area (for example a 3x8 tunnel with some trapdoor tricky parkour). Pretty sure hermits would build fun training challenges for other hermits in it while they are waiting for a run.
wen keralis saw that zedeaph head, i just got reminded about grians loot roalercaster couple seasons back were he gone like a hundrid times hey zedaph! wen he went by
Just watched your last 2 episodes your getting way better papa K We have faith you can do it the deck is looking better and better and your parcore is getting better keep going
You are Not Bad at Decked Out just Entertaining..It's so much fun watching you try to beat Decked Out,The fear is real but thank you for facing your fears.❤🙏..We love your Face..
Those pressure plates are evil! But your runs were great, even if you didn't manage to win. So much fun, I watched every second of this week's DO2 movie 😄
Papa K, you could learn something from the Champion that I haven't seen in the comments before: if you get out of level 2 or 3 and still have cards left, you should really do some farming on level 1 before leaving. That will increase your chances of buying more runs and getting more ambers. Don't give up and keep looting n' scooting!
Simpsons quote: "Get confident stupid!" Also 2 points: 1. Keys are treasure. B. The game is reset when you go through the pressure plates at the exit (before you drop down to the shop).
Wait wait wait at 4:21 did you make a reference to the old Karazan boss fight? Up on the stage, with the one where you're little Red Riding Hood and you're fighting the Big Bad wolf?
Keralis, you're doing better than you think. Take some time to map out the levels. Sometimes you get mixed up and that's when you die. Your face is beautiful! Keep playing!
You know, Etho and Hypno may be the most flashy runners, but everyone's really sleeping on Papa K's _extreme_ pro strats (and he's learning Lv3... someone stop him!)
I was thinking about how much negative self-talk you give yourself "Don't screw this up," "I'm gonna die," and then an ad came on for BetterHealth with a therapist saying, "I'm hearing a trend here where you constantly expect to fail, and then when you succeed, you don't give yourself credit or accept praise." Talk about timing! Yeah, what she said. :-) Seriously, though, I totally get the shaky mouse... I'm the same way, even when I know there's a skeleton lurking somewhere. And your runs, win or lose, make me hold my breath so often that when your video is over, I feel like I've just done aerobics for an hour!
On your first run the artifacts was indeed down the big room, you need to go to the bottom level and up a ladder on the ledge made of wooden slab at 6:14 This one can be confusing
After watching this Episode I just want to Mong out and listen to some Snow Patrol and have a Tuna sandwich.. I think I'm Traumatized! Lol, even if you had a bad time it's entertaining to see Keralis under such pressure :D Awesomeness! Hang tough Bro!
Keralis, you had the unfortunate luck to start going to deadly after Tango "fixed" it so you never got the chance to learn the level. Too bad there isnt an "Etho lever" that can be flipped to just make it harder for some people and easier for others.
Everyone struggles with something, Gem with Key luck. Doc with card luck. Cub Also had key luck and struggled to find compass locations. I know that if you keep playing you will learn a little more every time. Although I am worried your shakes and nervousness sometimes is really what you struggle with so maybe some stretches and breathing exercises before you go in?
Keralis you need to stop being so mean to yourself. So much of your commentary is negative self-talk and you’re doing so great, believe in yourself and your ability to practice, keep learning and conquer the dungeon 💪🏻
This is so sad.. Keralis: what am I doing wrong? Obviously by watching it is obvious, but you doubt yourself! You're good at Minecraft! You just don't take time to calm your heart rate with deep breaths and focus. Jumping right into Willie and not swimming away is just bad thinking. Fluttering shift constantly (quickly unshifting and shifting again), then getting mad that you set off shriekers.. 🤦♂️. Simple fixes, I hope you figure these simple things out and get better before decked out ends. (FYI your commentary is fine man)

I've said it before, but the reason you're struggling in decked out is because you're not wearing your speedo.

i found it so funny that you took the same path out of habit and missed the Trick or Treat hut, never seen someone get so many pumpkins
Legit that. Lol. I don’t blame him since it was a clear path. But oof
i dunno, that last run he did... if he had gone to the pumpkin hut he might have been able to make it out alive

“But panic has” honestly I haven’t laughed so hard in so long thanks you Papa K Been Seriously going through it lately and I really needed that

Treasure drops can be:
Coin (more likely)
Crown
Key
Rusty repair kit
Halloween Pumpkin
Any card that increases the drop off treasure helps.
49:44 I don't like Willy but 5 crowns is 5 crowns
cheap and useful idea: build a large room connected to grian's training area. Put a chest with stairs, full blocks and trapdoors. Etho's loot & scoot is only rivaled by Keralis' loot & scoot
Wait wait wait at 4:21 did you make a reference to the old Karazan boss fight? Up on the stage, with the one where you're little Red Riding Hood and you're fighting the Big Bad wolf?
That area in the first run you were not sure about being the mid level was actually mid level… and that’s where the compass was.
Keralis, you're doing better than you think. Take some time to map out the levels. Sometimes you get mixed up and that's when you die. Your face is beautiful! Keep playing!
I like how you edit your decked out videos. You skip the non important parts and show us the meaningful parts. Thank you!
Keralis! Love your face! Needed a laugh and i know you’ll deliver!
You know, Etho and Hypno may be the most flashy runners, but everyone's really sleeping on Papa K's _extreme_ pro strats (and he's learning Lv3... someone stop him!)
I was thinking about how much negative self-talk you give yourself "Don't screw this up," "I'm gonna die," and then an ad came on for BetterHealth with a therapist saying, "I'm hearing a trend here where you constantly expect to fail, and then when you succeed, you don't give yourself credit or accept praise." Pleasure plates. The new Keralis sound bite ;)
33:35
You can take that passage with jump boost.
On your first run the artifacts was indeed down the big room, you need to go to the bottom level and up a ladder on the ledge made of wooden slab at 6:14
This one can be confusing
Have been waiting for phase 5 runs!
Keralis, I know you love building. Check out the LittleTiles mod. I found it in a modpack and have been loving it! It pairs well with Chisel and Bits!
I'm so stressed when watching this. LOVE IT ❤
Papa K has the best reactions! Wish you were in the Life Series. :D
I love how he always manages to forget his deck
Fail with style and grace :-) So much fun watching this
After watching this Episode I just want to Mong out and listen to some Snow Patrol and have a Tuna sandwich.. I think I'm Traumatized! Lol, even if you had a bad time it's entertaining to see Keralis under such pressure :D Awesomeness! Hang tough Bro!
Sometimes you get the shakes, and I forget that Tango didn't actually manage to implement a tremor effect into the game.
38:05 you still had strides when getting upstairs you could go on shortcut
ha ha ha "stay away from door I might break it!" ... "I forgot my deck" breaks the door. LOLOLOLOL
Like watching Achilles in his moment of triumph being shot by Paris
The ad in this episode was really good haha
Awesome episode, thanks for the update.
Please run decked out with a pulse monitor on the screen. I think it would be funny to see how your heart rate goes up when you're scared or mad
LMAO that last run was hella comedic
Keralis, ALWAYS sneak on Level 3. Always!! And get all berries. You keep leaving them behind
48:42 you can hear wood cracks ambient
you need to pull a gem and build yourself a parkour training course
34:27 I almost passed out from holding my breath 😂
On that first run the compass was pointing to the balcony
i really enjoy the way u play 😊
Watching you play is always a win for us Keralis ❤
“I don’t want to see his Willy and I want to stay out of his Willy’s range”. Bahahah
12:30 You should have farmed some more berries
I love how keralis pronounces pressure plates
I Absolutely love a new keralis notification ❤
That 3rd level isn't fun, its dark and slow. Go into the ship, there maybe treasure inside the ship.
Loved this video
(FYI your commentary is fine man)
the thumbnail is too funny

Keralis, cheers for your excellent uploads. Älskar dig till bitar (love you to bits right?)
It would be great if you could add a little message saying how much time has passed between cuts in the dungeon, thanks! :D
