Worth noting: Etho is also largely responsible for the advent of block-update detection systems, coining the term BUD-switch 11 years ago. 5 years later, Mojang would introduce the observer block to replicate the functionality of advanced, glitch-reliant block-update detection systems that were being patched out (although Etho's original design could still work to this day).

Such issues dont have to be as bad as fucking alzheimer's but they can exist either due to memory damage or immense trauma especially at immensely young ages. And these memories are not always lost permanently but can sometimes require triggers to remember.

Everything about this brings back memories, some good, some bad, but most of them amazing as it was spent anxiously waiting to get out of school to go home and watch Etho. It really puts into perspective how time has flown, starting watching back in late season 1 of his lets play after finding Minecraft from a couple friends and I had watched every video religiously up until about a year ago. When anything happened in school or my family I knew I could always go and find solace in an Etho video that would be sitting there waiting for me. Etho is someone I look up to immensely and will always have a place in my heart, and I hope he sees this video and is reminded of the massive support of is friends and community. Vechs was a mapmaker who pioneered the "Capture the Wool" genre of maps. Vechs' created a series of maps called Superhostile, of which canopy-carnage was one. THAT is him being a pioneer, espeiclly since hed been doing it well before rays works and ilmango started doing that sort of thing.
