- Brief clip of mates Moki 215cc 5 cylinder radial engine running a 32 x 18 propeller.
It is planned to mount the engine in a scale Stearman biplane which is under construction.
What an awesome noise...
Can't sound much more vintage than that... Absolutely love that sound
I would definitely paint the tips of the propeller as a safety precaution.
Or just make a flywheel instead of the prop.

Absolutely should paint the tips he should spin the prop with a high-speed drill also to get it started

Seven years ago and this now shows up in my suggested section... great power to weight ratio and amazingly light for the bulky size... I would have guessed it to be 40 plus pounds.

You made a 5 cylinder, an engine which has an unmistakable and distinct sound in classic Motorsport and Audi today. Of course it’ll sound good haha
But this one sounds like an sport EU car from 50's with well. 5 cilinders

It would probably overheat without the propwash airflow but it is the right size
@@ALSomthin nah, just add blades and put a screen over the thing so it doesn't chew off your leg. Mesh fan cover, no more wood prop. Then, and only then, could you achieve badass status that cannot be touched!

Am I the only one who was captivated by the radial sound, but cringing the whole time waiting for the camera person to get into the prop. Seemed real close to disaster to me. Makes me shudder just thinking about it. LOVE the video and the engine.

Couple questions. How is the carburetor set up? Is it injected? How about a float Bowl? What if it were in an airplane and it were turned upside down, would it continue to run? Also, I love the way the pushrods and the Rockers operated out in the open air, with no guards of any kind around them.
