Welcome to Hermitcraft season 10 - Episode 9! I'm back on Hermitcraft as the richest Hermit with a massive amount of Diamonds, Copper and other rare ore! Scar you have so many diamonds, have an investor meeting with hermits on who can build you the best storage system for a truly absurd amount of diamonds. Like shark tank, they have the ideas and you have the cash. Imagine Mumbo and Etho having to pitch the benefits of their Redstone contraptions.

Sand & Gravel Shop should be placed RIGHT next to the hourglass, and you should have advertising at the Big Wood hourglass that you are selling sand right next door. Since Doc is making his shops sell wood for sand instead of diamonds.
And with the amount of diamonds that’s sure to get you, and how Doc is using it as a currency, maybe you should style it as a Bank? Maybe call it something related to Sand Dollars?
Or you could style it as a Bar. Because Sand Bars.
Being next to the hour glass sounds great, I would also love if the roof could occasionally fling sand into the air

If you want to get rid of the snail : try salt around your base (it burns them). Or call a french guy to eat them.
(Get them out of the shell, make butter, sauce, then it goes in oven for 15min)

The base blooben test: for context, blooben is grians word for blueberry. With that knowledge, it is clear that it is asking whether your item, in this case mobs, is similar to a blueberry. It must meet two main criteria to pass the test: it must be edible and round. It is edible, as there are many edible mob drops, and it is round (slime/magma cube balls). In summary, the answer you want to give is yes. Hope this helps!

I love the idea that Grian sat around before this season thinking of a quirky way to mess with people, came up with the trouble snail that he could blame it all on, Gem saw it and wanted in...now it's just become a way to mess with Scar and only Scar lol

You could take inspiration from False with her little water pump and perhaps add in a small watering area in that 3x2 section on the train, with a jug to water all the plants in the car.
A sprinkler system in the greenhouse would be a really nice detail. You could even put a water storage tank for it in that empty space you were talking about.
At the end of season 10 when people are talking about how the snails became the primary evil force of the server, it will be brought up in discussion that scar was the one who made them cannibals.
This man just cannot stop it with the cannibalism, it started with the Convex eating the NHO and now it's just a Thing lol.
For the empty spot on the train car, you could commission Cleo to make a little Jellie lounging in the sun using armorstands. Would be super cute and sweet

For your storage, there's a few mobs that do items. Allays (blue pixies) pick up items and sort them. Sniffers dig up items.
I think Allays living in a storage place seems about right, possibly the same place as sniffers. The sniffers dig up the items, and the allays sort the items. Shulker boxes can be coloured too, making them great for decorative blocks. A shulker farm is possible too.
Scar-venture zoo for the name. It’s a travelling zoo so venture. Plus it almost sounds like an adventure, which what zoo isn’t an adventure and sounds cool on top of all that

Hey Scar, I don't know if anyone said it yet, but on the herbivore cart, in the empty spot by the loading dock, you could put a barrel full of apples. You can achieve this by putting red corral block with water underneath it and spruce trapdoors around it. You could also add some invisible item frames with apples around it! I know that cOW would love some fresh apples of the train!

The train is so fun and whimsical. I keep thinking about Grian's sign from season 9 when he said "Everything you make contains a part of your beautiful soul." It's so incredibly true.

I am a big fan of a classic Scar Pine tree, but I love the more oak-like tree in the greenhouse car! The motion of the leaves is an amazing detail captured too!
The snail dish is escargot, although I highly discourage eating those snails. Wood snails can cause many issues when they are eaten.🐌🐌🐌

I have an idea for the form for the new permit. If you prepare a book with every different yes or no for every option, it may be enough to overwhelm Grian into either just giving you the permit to get you off his back, or doing more permit work, which he hates. You can also try to put him on hold back.

I love scaffolding. There's a small learning curve but it makes building so much easier
Two words: Freight Cars. Trains transport large volumes of goods. Maybe make a smaller scale storage system and have a few cars to store things interspersed with your zoo cars. Separate items into categories/carsand make themed cars. You could come up with some wacky themes instead of just "ores" and "Woods" Maybe go by biome to illustrate that it has been everywhere?

Hi, Scar. I'm a pretty redstone heavy player, but not very into automated storage. Like, I do enjoy walking around a storage hall, knowing when everything is stored and doing it manually. For such a creative and talented builder as yourself, I would recommend a themed storage area, with different rooms for different type blocks. That's always a very organic and intuitive way to make it work.
Zoo name idea: Scarfari park and Zoo
scar the problem with your storage is not the chests, it's not the shulkers, it's the AMOUNT OF STUFF YOU HAVE LAYING AROUND! if you put BULK ITEMS in full shulkerboxes and put the shulkers INSIDE OF A CHEST you could probably use a third of the chests that you currently use. you dont have to sort out junk items often but the chests upon chests of cobble and deepslate and wood and sand etc could be shrunk down so much. (unless you have too much fun creating the chestmonster in which case go ahead and horrify us every time we look at that mess because how does that even happen otherwise XD)

Scar, you’re always praising Bdubs for being an artist in Minecraft but you are on another level. The way you’re able to make your train look so cohesive even though each car is used for a different thing and you make static block look like they’re moving (the tree branches blowing in the wind) is insane. I hope I will get to your level one day. Keep up the good work!

Maybe fill that empty space in the greenhouse car with a scarecrow? It could help to keep those pesky snails away from your crops! And you could maybe even make it with a custom armor stand!

Sand and gravel shop ? A big hourglass, bigger than doc. And you stock the sans on the top part. Client press a button and the sand fall and break in front of the customer. With a redstone system reloading the center column with the sand on the side
In the blank spot of the herbivore cart you should add a well/fountain or small pond! So it’s like you’re also transporting/distributing water to the animals!
And maybe for the other corner of the pumpkin side of the cart there could be honey drips coming off the side? Like too much was stored at some point and it overflowed?

In the little empty area next to the beehive you should make a custom azalea bush to give some extra flowers and color for the space!
Actually the Base Bloobin test sounds a bit like "Base Blue Bin" so go put a few Blue Bins in Grains base and push him in, test if he went in and tick that off your checklist!
Banana tree, you say? Try Gold Pickaxes. With a slight angle you could put the handle inside the leaves and just leave the curvy yellow bit.

1) the Herbivore car needs a well to easily water the crops. But it has to be small, travel sized, because it’s on a train. Try a pot hanging on a chain?

You could haul any excess materials into Magic Mountain and establish a communal storage center for all the building blocks you don’t need to keep.

Good thought! The crops definitely water, but a well only works if it can be dug to groundwater. What about a water storage tank with a sprinkler system?
For your storage ‘system’, you should create a big chest monster, like a giant chest with teeth that the interior of the mouth is your chest monstrosity you have right now. It think this would be good for your whimsical train as it’s a magical creature you could but on it.
0:30 Whenever the pickaxe gets repaired by mending, it twitches in your hand. I guess this interrupts any block breaking. As the shulker box gets mined instantly, this was possible.
Scar storage solution:
Go to a (very organised) neighbour. Tell them you have a gift for them.
Gift them everything you own.
Whenever you need items, visit their storage system. Trouble free and easy!

You could maybe texture-pack glistering melons into bananas, and use the invisible item frame command… cocoa beans nearby would make sense too
I cant put it into words, but scar's builds always look so "alive". For example, the train looks like it could just start it's engine and ride off into the sunset at anytime. The train has to be one of the best builds I have seen on the hermitcraft server. Absolutely, STUNNING!
You could make a fun scam minigame with the “mending” pickaxe bug where you bet you can dig a hole with a wooden pick faster than a netherite pick. And right after you start you throw a bunch of xp bottles at the persons feet causing their pick to become unusable.

For storage maybe you can just try the classic chests with signs or item frames. And it blend it into your base, you can make a warehouse of some kind near the train.
The blank space on the car you asked suggestion for - add a villager who buys pumpkin melons and carrots then sells golden carrots? Make him a swamp villager to fit in with the scenery 😅

I recommend making your copper blocks in a stonecutter instead of a crafting table. They're immediately so much cheaper

For a storage idea: You could make a "Restock station" right there beside the tracks that has your storage room inside, but outside it looks like there are supplies to be loaded onto the train. Supplies from food, items, or even animals!

Yellow Candles can look Banana-esque if you wanted to put those on the tree. Idk if anything else has that banana look all by itself. You could also use lime candles to be under ripe bananas, or brown/black candles to be over ripe bananas.
If you could find a way to isolate the gold part of a gold pickaxe you could also use those and maybe a bit of a piece of coal or a colored candle at the end to be the ‘bottom’ of the banana? (Candle could be black or brown or even yellow as long as the wick stands out.) A problem with that is that gold pickaxe heads are uh.. kind of big to be bananas.
Those are just my initial thoughts. Good luck on your banana endeavors, Scar!

Scar stopping for a moment to stare at the camera and then resuming the mining montage is just so Scar.
16:45 I've started using shulkers inside of chests to store bulk blocks like stone and deepslate from mining. That way when I go mining, I'l just fill up a couple shulkers and file them away when I get home instead of filling up multiple doublechests of the same junk blocks. You can also hook up an empty shulker to any stone/basalt generator and fill it up easily, so you're only moving one item instead of 27 stacks.
Scar, you should add a mending book coming up from the fishing rod on your train. I think it would be a funny way to get back at grian and his pesky snails

Ooooooo! I really like this! That way he could have different styles of cargo cars! A tankard car for the coal would be HILARIOUS. Just imagining a multitude of boxcars is various Scar-colors has me so excited!
