I will always take a Cruiser over a Defender - reliability is a dealbreaker. I have a toyota but its funny reading all the usual comments about the land rover breaking down. You never see this on videos about audis, mercs or bmws and all 3 of thise manufacturers are below land rover in the euro reliability survey.
But only one of these trucks will still be on the road in 20 years, heck in 5 years. That's what's called JAPANESE RELIABILITY.
I Bet if you take out the oil and coolant from the LC and change the oil on the defender every 1000 miles. The LC will still last longer lol.
Exactly JLR products are famously crap at build quality and reliability. The new Defender is a vanity project.
I sort of agree with you, but ironically because of the passion for the old LR we still see more 70s model Lr than LC... I am not saying love matters more than oil but .. well
The Land Rover doesn't really count because like most Land Rovers it'll be back with the dealerships mechanic getting fixed from breaking down all the time.....
One who can't afford defender always talks this
@@34_harshdeepraghuwanshi98 bro a g wagon is much more reliable than any land rover...
@@34_harshdeepraghuwanshi98 That is exactly right. The haters are always the ones who are broke lol
Give me one proof you owned one.
Defender is a monccoque so has more strength in the upper body when compared to land cruiser which is a ladder on frame.
The defender will be safer as it will spend most of it's time in the garage being repaired after breakdowns.
🤣🤣
Cliche af.
Watching these expensive cars get crashed so brutally already gives me an attack without being in the car...
defender looks rock solid. not comparable.
Which is best for safety standards?
For people saying the Defender is saver, it's not. The Landcruiser scored much higher on all key rankings except the child protection rating, where it scored the same 88%
Braking.
No one can defeat land cruiser the boss💸🙏
Das der Defender einmal Fußgänger und Insaßen freundlich wird. Wer hätte das gedacht. Der neue Defender ist auch geil.
I do love Toyota all the way and I used to sell cars at at Toyota dealership but between these vehicles my heart is with the defender I love the defender.
Its beautiful. But unreliable.
But in this test, Land Cruiser scored 89% in ADULT OCCUPANT PROTECTION and Defender scored 85% in ADULT OCCUPANT PROTECTION
LC is much safer than defender.
the defender is much better and no reliability issues for me almost 2 years on. both land cruiser and defender are in similar price range in NZ, but off road spec the defender is better from factory. I'm a toyota fan and looked into buying a lc300 instead I decided to buy a hilux mako.
Land cruiser provide best airbags
LAND ROVER DEFENDER the father of all modern SUV's.❤️
@Mohamad bin Hamza lmao if they're fighting in the jungle land Rover will never catch up to a land cruiser
Defender seems technologically superior but Toyota's won't leave you stranded. They cater to different types of buyers.
Well the Landcruiser won't generally but if you have a2.8 l Prado or Hilux or Fortuna between 2013 and 2015 that's whole different reliability game. Try a 2 billion dollar pay out to the people who bought one of these unreliable vehicles.
The Amount Of Time They Put To Built The LC300 Is Crazy Bro. Although The New Defender Is Pretty Impressive But Man You Have To Admit That LC300 Is Better They Even Put More Airbags Than Defender Does. And Don't Forget That LC Is Bigger And Heavier Than Defender.
Heavier is not better
@@sumedhpradhan heavier is better for safety
Look at the amount of airbags unlike defender
@@raihanali715 yeah 8 successful airbags right?
@@Mr_X010 yes
I love both brands and companies ❤❤❤
The odds are you won't need to worry about getting involved in a crash with a Defender because it'll spend most of its life in the workshop having faults diagnosed and repaired 😂
Lol
Oh do come into this century, please.
Святая правда, мой друг
Real original
All cars have imperfection. My toyota camry stalled after only 30k miles. Trade it in. No more boring toyota for me.
I will always take a Cruiser over a Defender - reliability is a dealbreaker. But... the one is a ladder chassis build, and the other is monocoque, so I would expect the Defender to do much better in the head on rigid barrier test - much more to crumple, while the rigid ladder will direct energy through the cabin.
My dad got a lancruiser and this model aswell he would be devastated if this happened to his
The great thing with the Defender is it will break down long before the accident. A neat safety feature.
hhahaahahha savage
Exactly 💯
Do you have one or are you just a troll?
@@lbco5229 I can vouch for him. I've used a range rover evoque and had the new defender for the couple of months but sold it because of gear box issues. Maintainance cost is through the roof and often times I prefer using some other car then driving my evoque cause everytime there's something wrong with it and that car has been used for only 7 months.
Land Cruiser any day over anything
why is there no score displayed for Toyota?
Best protection is to drive slow and be attentive at all times .
Defender be like…jo tera Torture hai wo..mera warmup hai..😂
Workshop ke liye bane hai defender 🤣
No brainer. Land cruiser will easily go 20+yrs with just regular maintenance. Land Rover will spend most of its life in the shop.
👍🏻
I would choose Land Rover for a war and land crusier for comfort and off roading
Land Rover is more comfortable than landcruiser, what are you on
Bro if you use land rover for a war
You are done 😂
N ill gove for g wagon for everything
Who?
@Nicolas sanchez no in india i have to pay 1.6crore inr for g wagon and 2.2crore inr for land cruiser... And have only v8 land cruiser... So...
4:02 anyone walking will die seeing a LC coming at them before ever the emergency breaks even come to play 😂😂
Defender will probably be safer as it stays in the shop. So you won’t drive anywhere… 😅
The world's most unreliable vehicle.
Troll.
❤❤ Toyota Vs Range Rover wow❤I'll say range rover win
Question is which one will start right after that impact?
Defender is stronger so the defender, they demonstrated it with the movie of 007, with the tests.
Crikey that defender is strong, but I reckon the LC300 will start after that impact
LC300
LC
Definitely Lc .. durable engine toyota 🔥
Seems like defender has a smarter airbag system, the land cruiser just blows all the airbags no matter where it's hit
Remember when determining the safety of a Land Rover you also have to factor in the safety of the rental car you are going to be in a month out of the year while it's in the shop.
Mine defender never faced any issues
You should own one before saying that
Still depends on situation
Both performed exceptionally good.....
The passerby didn't even flinch
Most cars can take you to a desert but the only car can get you back is landcruiser 🔥
Its forests ..
@@RamPrasadGogoi its arabian gulf saying !
true
Not with the new shape ( 3.5 twin turbo engine)
@@aesa3628 its stronger bro !!
I drove the defender, it runs smooth but would hate to own it out of warranty.. Looks like the guy who designed the front owned a 06 Honda Element and another guy who did the back had the right idea and more like the old defender. But I would take the Land Cruiser if they still will import it here to the US. We never get anything cool.
Wonder how the tire works after 30000km when buttons are mildly torn off...would be the same way ? autonomous braking systems works even after the tire worn a bit? anyone has same question?
Nr 1 world Toyota .love and support from Romania !

@@WAWosnovnoy кто тебя не выпускает в "развитый" мир? Давно уже пора свалить - всем легче станет.
by seeing the test, I can see for land rover doesn't feel much hit and shot , it wants something big very big to get hitted
Love how the safety of the Defender but how about the engine and the powertrain? Surely the LC will surpass the defender by a mile.
Only In lifelong durability or else defender is better in all aspect
defender is like an Injury prone player, no matter how good he is, they aren't gonna be on the field..because they would be in hospital all the time.
@@owensunuwar697 nice one hahahaha
