I wish I had found them so so earlier..but I found them during the pandemic. I have now seen them twice in the front row both times. They didn't play this song, which is one of my favorites, but I am so thankful that they got back together. A life affirming band

What's so amazing about this isn't just the amazing lyrical content it's the fact that this is a live acoustic performance not many bands/artists can reproduce the same sound that is on a album because of the amount of editing and auto-tuning by computers. True musician
Anytime Brian Fallon touches music, it will become too personal for somebody to bear. This is too beautiful and too honest, divorce is a terrible thing and Fallon does such an excellent job capturing the pain involved with it.
I find the original version's music masks the true meaning and emotion to this song, but when Brian sings it acoustic you can feel every single emotion behind his words, and to me that makes it so powerful
It feels kind of mystical here with spring arriving and anything Brian Fallon is the perfect compliment to mystical times.
This Dude was given such an amazing gift. I can't stop listening to his music.

As many times as I've listened to this song, this is the first time I've heard the acoustic version. Unbelievably amazing and shows how wonderful he is. The lyrics are some of his best and will break your heart.

Heard this song 100 times and today I just burst into tears on the way to work. This man has such a pure heart. Brian's lyrics really stir the soul...i miss thier shows so much...those got me through some rough times as well.

@ilovetrinamichaels haha laughed, i can see why. i definitely wasn't being overly dramatic, i did cry. i think there is actually plaintiveness and pleading to be found in the lyrics, right next to the anger and hurt, you know that backwards way you feel when someone you've got your heart set on lets you down, and you've still got your heart set on them anyways. well, the album version brings out the anger. the resigned wish that things could be different comes out here, and it just moved me.
