The pin feature in the corner to pull into a mitre is worth this video. 👍👍👍

Hi, I have sat for the last two days watching your videos, They were FANTASTIC. You are a super teacher and Manny is a great cameraman. The close shots were very plain and easy to see. I learned a lot from watching these as I am a fairly new sewer. Thank you so very much and am looking forward to many more.

I used to have the problem of not catching the binding when I machined it. Now, I've only just got it right, I machine the binding on then trim the seam alliwance to be very accurate and this time no problems. The batting often moves a little and that was enough to upset things.
    Love your videos!

Hi Sherrill! Love your videos and these blogs. I just found them. I am wondering...will you make more blogs? Was looking for 7...and couldn't find one. Hope you are doing well. You have a sweet personality and are such a great teacher!

Hi Clearymartin. Yes, there will be more blogs. The tutorials that I publish take so much of my time that it is hard to squeeze in the blogs. Glad you find the videos helpful. Happy sewing.

I love your videos, but I'm still perplexed at this one. You had me up to "stitch in the ditch". I see the binding all pinned with the corners mitered, then you say "stitch in the ditch, NOT on the binding" all the way around, and you show the reverse side. But how is the binding and those corners you have pinned sewn on, if you're stitching in the ditch? Obviously I'm not getting it!

Hi Donna. Good question. As you are pining the binding down on the back you must pull the folded edge of the binding across and past the stitch line. Then turn it over to the front. The ditch is where the binding meets the coffee cup fabric. When you stitch in the ditch you are actually stitching next to the stitch line that shows on the back. The stitching in the ditch from the front will catch the lower edge of the binding on the back. The needle won't catch the binding edge if you didn't pull the folded binding edge past the stitch line on the back. Try it. I hope I was able to clear this up for you. Happy sewing.

I finally got it! Took quite a while and I used practically an entire bobbin of thread (!), but I'm so proud of the outcome and now I understand the entire process. It was also my first time really doing my own quilting and using my walking foot, so it was a great project to use for "putting it all together". I'm now jazzed to finish up all those leftover blocks for potholders for an upcoming craft fair. Thank you!
