Thank you
Thank you GirlNextDoor for writing it all down for us! ⚘️
Thank you so much for typing this out for us, but please everyone, go ahead and still watch the video, as that is how the content creators earn some money to be able to share this info with us. Thank you!
Great idea. I've put back a dozen meals in a jar. So far chicken dressing is our favorite. Thanks Jinne for the ideas. Remember ya'll to Pray, Plan, Prep
Sound good! Do you have a recipe for it?
Can you share the recipe for the chicken dressing?
Love this Jen..
I started this in 2021 when here in Cali..the Bear Creek soup bags went to $9 @bag..and came up with great recipes..better, cheaper, more diverse and no extra bs chems/products!
I wish ya'll as creators would get together and maybe do a week of ideas from different people😊
These are wonderful & smart for anything..our best ideas for camping trips! That everything you need for a big easy meal is already there, ready to go!
This, along with meals in a bag for shelf stable products is just wonderful.
Our latest idea was a chicken pot pie..but with "stuffing" for the crusts😊
I love that idea of a collaboration. Hopefully they will
Shalom! I think this is my all time favorite video of yours!!! I LOVE “meal in a jar” demonstrations. Blessings in Yeshua’s יהרשע matchless Name.
You can also vacuum seal these jars if you put the dry ingredients in first so the machine doesn't suck in any food dust as it vacuums the jar, if you don't want to buy oxygen absorbers since they're a one shot and done item. You can also keep your opened freeze dried items in glass jars using the vacuum pack or your oxygen absorbers to keep the air away from the contents.
With no central heat or water at all in an abandoned house, i find that metal lids and cans get rusty and would eventually break through to let food spoil. So I'm wondering if a simple solution would be to turn the filled jars upsidedown and quickly dip in melted wax to protect the metal from moisture? I guess cans would be best rotated before rust gets too far. I'm a disabled veteran Air Force age 72 in Pittsburgh.
Now that’s an idea I didn’t think of.
Wow! I never thought of this! I'm so going to do this. Thankyou so much!
I’ve been running around like a mad women….Filling in gaps….Prepping the the garden…So Much going on….Catching up on your videos….Then canning them up❣️ Thanks Always Jinnie ❤️
Fantastic idea, everything sounds so yummy! I'm envisioning a couple dozen jars made up in advance to save time & have the required amount of water stored nearby. Thanks for sharing another great idea. 🥰
This is brilliant. This and yesterdays video about herbs are on my saved list for reference. Thank you for helping us think outside of the box.
An alternative to buying oxygen absorbers, I have a vacuum sealer with a port on it to attach to a hose so I can vacuum seal my jars. Comes in handy to vacuum seal half gallon jars full of flour, sugar, rice or any dry item.
Rewatched to put together more jars. Bought 3 cases of Hungry Jack Potatoes at costco. Thrive Life and Augason Farm are wonderful products.
Great helpful video.
I'm always trying to find new meal ideas for my dehydrated stuff! These look great and simple! Would love to see more of these recipe videos! Thank you!👍
Love the meal in jar recipes using the freeze-dried and dehydrated foods. Makes a meal quickly and also if the usual cook is not well, another family member can do it easily with the directions on it. Thank you!!💕
Thank you so much, Jinnie. I've been thinking of a bean burger recipe in a jar. I have the ingredients: just need to experiment with the measurements. 🥰
Amazing idea, thank you for sharing. It's appreciated.
Love all your meals in a jar! I need to look into more freeze dried foods. I have a few. Eggs, milk, tomato powder is all. Thank you Jenni!! ❤️
I love the way you say 'It's Delicious' when you were talking about Garlic.
I wish there were more with dehydrated and not all freeze-dried foods. That said, bless you for the thoughtfulness of the video!
Can you do a follow up showing us how to rehydrate and the finished product.
Awesome ideas! I need to do this myself, thanks for showing us. Easy peasy

Dried meals are 150 grams per adult, typically the proteins consisting of 1/3 of the meal so 50 grams.

Awsome, how fun. Going to try
The small snack baggies work great for this
Awesome thanks for sharing
Would love to see more like this!
Thanks!
Great video. I learned a little
Thanks for the advice. I just started to order the #10 cans. So I can put together a bunch of these meals.
Hi Gloria! I've been collecting Thrive Life ingredients for a little while and it's kind of exciting to be able to put together these meals in a jar. Sometimes the number 10 cans are cheaper than buying the pantry cans. Sometimes not. I have several number 10 cans of diced potatoes and broccoli. The beef too. The chicken is not cheaper in the number 10 cans though. Happy meal planning!
Fantastic!
Love these ideas
That is GREAT
Cool, what a clever idea.👍
TFS HC, take care & keep really busy everyone. ❤🙂🐶
Awesome job girl. 😋
Great information 👍
Wow, beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
Great tips and recipes. Thanks again.
🙏👍👏❤️⭐️✨✝️💫🌹
Just a little tip all the information that you wrote on the lid of a jar you can write on the side of the jar with a sharpie pen and it washes off. I know you can use alcohol to get it off the lid but the longer it’s on the lid it doesn’t all come off with alcohol.
Awesome! My prepper food doesn't come with recipes! Thanks for sharing.
Oooh I finally found another homesteader up in my neck of the woods!!! I could tell just by hearing you talk! 😊
Amen!! Sister Maine-iac here too.
id like to see you cook one!
I just found the written recipes. Sorry, I didn’t see them till I’d sent the last msg. Thank you dear
So for the Mac &Cheese double the amount of water as noodles, cook noodles as usual. Do not drain. Add the powders, stir until done.
Great video! We just bought an Rv :)
Wow this is great idea thank you I'm in Australia I'll have to look and see if we have frezze dried foods in can's 😊❤️
@HomesteadCorner Where did you get the jar strainer? I love it!
Like your method better than mine yours all dry n ready to add water thanx.ill do yours from now on.n dont have to freeze or worru bout jars breaking thanks.
How many servings per jar? Thanks for the great video! I love learning preps like this. :)
Jinnie could I do the same thing with dehydrated foods? With the exception of the powdered ingredients. It would probably need to cook longer I think 🤔🤔🙏 Kendra
Yes, dehydrated foods work as well... you may need to adjust the cooking time, but it will work! 💕🇺🇲
Awesome! Now I want to buy powdered butter.
I am planning a prepped pantry and wanting ideas to jar the dry foods I make in the dehytor I have so i can feed my family even if food shortages happen again like after COVID-19 hit the USA.
These are fantastic! Do you need to let the mixes rehydrate until double in size before baking?
I love these ideas! Thank you so much for sharing with us. By the way.... what in the world is that setup you use to put on top of the mason jars as you are putting the ingredients in the jars? And where do I get one from?
Hello have a great day.
I am totally lost! Are there writings on the boxes that tell you how much dry equal fresh so you can follow recipes?
Are there recipe books that tell you how much dry ingredients? It is a great idea and I would really love to make them! Thanks!
Awesome! Quick question. How many Adults does a meal like that in the Quart jar feed? And where did you get the holder for the top of the jar?
Good question, I'd like to know that too!!!
Me too!
Depends how hungry the adults are.
Fucking still waiting
I got mine at Walmart.
Hi Jinne 👋
Thanks again for the ideas with freeze dried foods:). Keep them coming ❤️
That reminds me to get in the website and change my auto delivery 📦
Can you vacuum seal the jars if you want to?
If you use an oxygen absorber, it will vacuum seal and should last years. If you seal it with a vacuum bag sealer attachment, it should last a year or so without problems.
Great video! Now you got me wanting to go buy some Thrive Life.
We love Thrive Life, and also buy a few Augason Farms items that Thrive doesn't carry... 💕🇺🇸
@@HomesteadCorner how do we go about accessing the Thrive life site? I've tried everything I know and still can't make it work.
Hi Jinnie,
New viewer and subscriber to your channel! You are amazing! Thank you for providing such delicious looking recipes! I'm going to try making the Potato Sausage Casserole for my first time ever effort with meals in a jar! Quick question which you may have already touched upon--but what is the shelf life of this recipe? Thank you again so much! Looking forward to tryiing some of your other delicious meals!
What size oxygen absorber did you use in each jar?
OMG, you have open my eyes up to a lot of stuff. Thank you. How many do those jars feed?
These will feed 3-4 people depending on how hungry they are. 😋
