  • Earthflight’s epic adventure begins in the Gulf of Mexico as five million snow geese prepare to fly the entire length of North America. Each spring, these families of geese head north on a gruelling 3,000-mile journey to the Arctic to breed.
America's national bird, the bald eagle, plummets into the flock of snow geese to grab a meal but soon gets confused by the white out caused by them all taking flight. It's not long until she focuses her attention instead on some overwintering coots.
Earthflight (Winged Planet) uses many different filming techniques including filming “imprinted” flocks from microlites, wild flocks filmed from model gliders and silent drones, full-sized helicopter with stabilised mounts and cameras on the backs of trained birds, to create the experience of flying with birds as they reveal some of the greatest natural and man-made monuments of the planet.

Yes this type of "edits" are so unnatural as its not genuine. They also have started using CGI lately, saw it on a bbc clip where a lioness hunts buffalos. Its ridicolous to use CGI on nature documentaries.

Most eagles do, in my own opinion, sound like giant seagulls. You're likely thinking of a red tail hawk's call, which is usually used to dub over bald eagles in film.
