I’ve watched many tutorials on painting tigers with colour pencils/water colour pencils but this tutorials with oil color pencils are so far the best and much more easier to do. No need blending.Thank you.
so so realistic, that's how good I want to be Matt, that's why I'm one of your virtual student's, becoming a member and gaining all the art instruction he offers is so worth it, I've done one of his courses on drawing and it has made me so much better, before the course I could manage to draw OK but I wasn't good at shading so when I found Matt's site it was best thing I've done as he offers so much and not expensive either like a lot of other courses, he is a fantastic teacher as well. he teaches in a way that makes it easy. to understand but also some quite difficult challenges as its beginner to intermediate modules, but you have to practice a lot as this is how you get better. I for one is glad I found him at a time I wanted to learn so much more and my artistic journey is continuing with my 2nd course on portraits.
Armine D he is indeed and yes of course one day I'll be as good at that, Matt always says to get plenty of practice which I do and I know how important that is.
Another absolutely amazing tutorial Matt, your work is so important to new artists such as myself. Not just the content you teach but the comfortable laid back approach you create making the learning process an absolute pleasure. Thank you so much Matt for all the work you upload for us. I purchased you Colored Pencil And Pastel courses about a year ago or slightly longer and they have been so valuable to me. Still a year or so on, at least once a week I open at least one of the modules to watch and try to improve upon my last attempt of that module. Thank you so much Matt.
Aabsolutely amazing Matt, I've purchased your pencil and pastel course about a year ago when I first took up art. I've highly recommended your courses to others looking to improve their art? Your tutorials are fantastic, well formed and easy to follow instruction. Love your art and teaching.
The eyes are so fierce.... Good job sir... Very true working with colored pencil can be really time consuming... I have notice that it seems you hold your pencil so lightly but the color was so vibrant.....🤓👍
I suggest you to upload a photo of a video about which Faber castell polychromos colors matches which prismacolor premiers colors. Because Others including me will be having only prismacolors and it becomes difficult to identify colors of different brand matching the colors of prismacolors premiers🙂 Thanks!! your videos are awesome!
If you go to Karen Hull's site she has a conversion chart for many of the colored pencils. It is wonderful. karenhullart.com/Tutorials-and-Kits.php Worth every penny. Very inexpensive. Conversion for all.... Faber Castell Polychromos ~ Prismacolor Premier ~ Caran D'ache Pablos ~ Caran D'ache Luminance ~ Derwent Artist ~ Derwent Coloursoft ~ Lyra Rembrandt
wow that's awesome Matt, I'm wanting to draw a tiger in graphite at 1st as they one of my favourite animals, I'm a member of born Free & I adopt a tiger !! so a tiger is going to be my 1st wild animal so this is great as I will be wanting to do a colour one sometime :) thanks for this post tc x
I have recently started drawing animals in color pencil. My question is how do you get fine white hairs to show up over darker colors? In this tutorial you are drawing white hairs around the eyes. How is this possible on white paper? Do you use toned paper? What color or shade paper do you suggest?
What paper did you use Matt ? I love this, I'm wanting to do a full tigers head, i adopt a tiger in born free so this a a great introduction thanks for all you do ☺
Hi There! I love your work. I am curious, what lights do you use and paper? My lights give off a yellow tint and my paper does not show my white mark very well!
I don't use oil base but wax base and I have few problems I can't have white fur I don't have pencils Coloring named can I use orange for fur I use mapedcolor peps
Hi,first i want to Thank you for your really helpful Tutorials.I want to draw this Tiger, but i can't find this kind of paper here in Switzerland,i bought One by Amazon,Strathmore Toned Gray,Medium Surface, do you think will work???hope so,i don't have other Way just try...Greetings
Can anyone please let me know what colour is being mentioned for the orange colour. I hear the Burnt easily but cannot catch or find anything sounding like Oprer?? - burnt Op???. Thanking you in anticipation
Why polychromous? Are you mixing with a fluid; if so what do you use and why not show us? I would take your courses but fear that you skim over important issues and your intro to lesson videos are nothing more than a sales pitch. I do like this video, but I have questions that are unanswered.
you don't even use any type of blender/burnisher yet the outcome is so freaking realistic SERIOUSLY sir you're AMAZING !

My white polychromo by faber-castell doesn't show up like yours does, does anyone know why that is? Any suggestions?
You feel you can almost stroke this fur xcellent
Thank you very much!!! It helped a lot!
great 😍
You're a god
How does one do a sketch of the contours? And what other paper is adequate instead of Stonehenge?
It's simply a matter of addressing the paper with an application.
This is excellent, the problem I'm having, though, is getting my tiger to sit still long enough to draw!
Hi There! I love your work. I am curious, what lights do you use and paper? My lights give off a yellow tint and my paper does not show my white mark very well!
멋진호랑이 잘보고가요
can I use pastels with colored ? great lessons, thank you
thank youuuuu
Can I draw this with cheap color pencils ?
I drew one too and showed my friend he said that owl is kinda realistic
I don't use oil base but wax base and I have few problems
I can't have white fur
I don't have pencils Coloring named can I use orange for fur

All we have to do is apply additional applications and address applications.

Hi Stewart, It's Burnt Ochre.
Some how my white colour pencil not showing?
And so are black panther , I have photo on my wall.
watched this video twice now, still trying to find the "correct" shade of yellow for the eyes...
I love your work but I am deaf please can you ad cc. Thanks
How, just how!
WOW
Excellent video, Matt! Do these oil pencil burnish to create that opaque paint-like look that Prismacolors do?
Not exactly. They do layer nicely and fill in the tooth, but they don't create that waxy "feel" like Prismacolor.
Magnifique
Nice. But one point, tigers eyes are green.
😊
You do know that Stonehenge paper is very very expensive. Why state this to the many average drawers?
As true tiger
