I love Ashley - She has that mix of humour, but also really good detailed content and down to earth practical advice.
So excited to see a new Ashley video, pop up!
Aggressive Scallions is a great band name.
Ha! Best comment… :)
Opening band for The Turkey Meatballs?
Haha!
Could you make the meatballs ahead of time and freeze them? This looks super yummy, but with the extra set-up in the fridge time, it's still a little time intensive for my family on a weeknight.
I would just make them the night before and put in the fridge. Then all you have to do it start cooking the lemon juice would keep nicely. May want to hold off chopping up the herbs that make the decoration and just cutting enough for the meatballs. Hope you get to try it.
Nikki I think you definitely could freeze them ahead of time! I never tested that, but I think you could pop them in the fridge to thaw during the day, and then proceed with the recipe as written.
Do you store your herbs in the frig after putting them in a jar?
I love 💞 this recipe and i 'm going to try this. And its a one skillet recipe.
Hmmm. You mention garlic at the end…but that didn’t seem to be part of the demo. I’ll check written recipe for amount. (Looks like a tasty new recipe.)
She also said she was going to use lemon wedges at the end, I assume for garnish, but that didn't happen. Great recipe though.
If you roll meatballs with wet hands they are smoother and dont stick to your hands
I needed something to make me smile this morning, Thanks Ashley!
This recipe looks delicious...I'm gonna try this.
I'm a southpaw too, Ash. Thanks for the jar tip. I just threw away perfectly good cilantro. The next recipe for my guys to try.
What vegetable do you serve with this? Or do you just serve meatballs, rice and a salad? My family has stated firmly no more green peas
Looks delicious. I love anything lemon. Love the shoutout to Jackson!
You are amazing Ashley!
Thank you Ashley for taking your rings off before forming the turkey meatballs! I always get weirded out on the show when people handle raw meat with jewelry on (doesn't seem very sanitary, plus it gunks the rings up).
Can't wait to try the recipe!
I agree...
This is the same way Asian lionhead meatballs are made but they are three times bigger. You can mix up a sauce very easily of soy sauce oyster sauce sesame oil toasted sesame oil, garlic, and sugar. I prefer brown sugar you can add ginger as well if you happen to have it. :-)
I tried this and thought it came out dry. It needs some kind of sauce, imo. I used basmati rice, which cooks on the quick side. Meatballs were very tender though! Are the meatballs meant to be 1 T exactly? I used a 1T cookie dough scoop, and ended up with more than 20
Hey Katherine! I heaping tablespoon should yield 20. Sorry it seemed dry! Did you squeeze and lemon juice on everything before eating?
Grinding pepper in your palm to measure = Brilliant
I might try this tonight. Let me thaw my turkey
Looks delicious. I was just wondering what I could make with ground turkey?
I made this and I would recommend not putting the lemon zest in the meatballs.
Looks delicious
A fellow leftie!
*_LUV ASHLEY!!!_*
I am excited to try this. I have always made turkey meatballs with my now grown son, my Meatball Monkey. Next time he is home from college, it's on the menu!
YES!
Love this one!
Wish they would make a lemon juicer like that but for people with arthritis and weakness in the hands.
there are orange juicers that have a motorized spinner - lemons should work on that as well. There are also cold pressed juicers but they are expensive at like $75+
Hi ATK Family, thank you for sharing your expertise and creativeness you share on how to evolve ourselves in the kitchen. Simple explanation is the one I notice in every episode that's a key to reach more viewers. I feel like going to a Culinary school but you tube way. I appreciate your recommendations in terms of products and kitchen gadgets that are not only practical but value for money & wise investment. Looking forward to see more fresh episodes. Watching your channel from Quezon city Philippines 🥰🥰🥰
Within the last couple weeks, you guys put up a video of Skillet chili with rice, and I swore I saved it to one of my personal folders. It's not in that folder now, and no amount of searching on RUclips, nor going back through my personal watch history for the past has found it. Would you please either put that video back up, or post a link to that video here? I promise that once I find it, I will remove this comment. I would just vanish like that is beyond me.
I'm a flexiterian and will not succumb to the evils of pork or beef. So my diet consist of animals that do not suckle their young and this recipe will so work in my favor. I'm so making this!!!
I was reading comments when this video started and thought it was a 12-year-old boy.
Very nice
What no hot sauce?

Hello from California
Salutations 😋
"Cheese...why not?" My new motto.
This is a fabulous cookbook! Go buy it -
Do I see the water spigots over your stove?
I noticed that too 😂😂😂
Some people have those installed so they can fill pots without having to lug them from the sink to the stove
@@marthaczyz1078
I figured that … 😊. Must be having a big kitchen, and cooking for big family, or professional chef….
Looks like a pot-filler faucet. I'm so envious!
@@fayeliu2601 Pretty sure that’s not her home kitchen…and she has been with ATK/CC since 2011
Where is the milk in your parade?
You don’t need it with turkey
There was a parade?
That looks so good!
*I never like cooking meatballs in a frying pan because you can't get all sides evenly (and not over-) browned.*
I do mine on a sheet pan in the oven
@@wesleyburke7514 Do you bake or broil? Also, at what temperature and for how long (which obviously depends on the kind of meat)? Thank you!
@@alanvonau278 I usually do chicken chop meat. A well-greased sheet pan in the oven on bake at about 375 400 and usually this works out fine
@@wesleyburke7514 Wesley, thank you for the information! I do mostly pork, and occasionally lamb or beef. Happy cooking!
Don't know why her presentation skills r boring. But love her cooking.
Wal*Mart has some good frozen ground turkey that comes plain, taco, and Italian in one-pound packages!!!
Looks yummy and am interested in trying a vegetarian version? Also, sorry to be picky, but maybe we should tie our hair back when we are cooking and preparing food? I try to do that even at home because who wants a hair on their plate? I don't mean to be critical but during this pandemic I've become more aware of the importance of hygiene!
What "pandemic"? But I agree, hygiene is always important, especially on a cooking show. Umm, a vegetarian version? Nope.
Good thing you're not eating at her house then.
I’m the biggest germaphobe ever. I grew up with a mother who is a nurse-turned-MD. The hair thing isn’t a concern. Don’t go to her house. Problem solved.
