- The Pedal Commander is an insane module that can control your truck's throttle sensitivity. I have owned one for almost a year now and it has been an extremely enjoyable toy to play with! Try it for yourself!

Great Video! Keep up the awesome content!
Thanks for your comment! Will do!
Thanks dude ,i m looking to use my once i receive mine this week.👍🇺🇸
Thanks for the video.
Of course! God bless
Allows changes to be made on the fly for pedal sensitivity. Great in conjunction with a modded engine so you can set it for others to drive with less sensitivity. Been using mine trouble free since 2018.
It's been an awesome attachment to the truck! Made this sluggish-feeling truck, stock, turn into a pretty feisty machine!
Con you used that with the edge system connected on the computer
Great video! How are you using Range and the pedal commander at the same time?
Thank you!
The Range device stays plugged into the OBD2 port while the Pedal Commander plugs into your throttle connector. They’ve both been working perfectly fine since I’ve installed each of them. No interference or anything.
Would the 2007 pedal commander work on my 2003 Chevy Silverado 1500 4.8 ls can’t seem to find one with my year of truck
Have you gone on their website and entered your truck make and model? That should let you know what they offer
What’s up my dude. I noticed you have the device AFM delete to keep in v8 all time. I have the same thing on mine. Question is …. Will pedal commander work with that device plugged in too ? I ordered a pedal commander should be here Tuesday
It most definitely works! I've had both the Pedal Commander and the AFM disabler on simultaneously for almost two years now and they work perfectly around each other.
@@hunterrwiilson Yoo great news haa! Appreciate it
What’s the benefit of using your truck all the time in v8 ?
@@juancarlossandoval3472 The un-used cylinders dont go to crap down the road. Research and you will see AFM creates many issues long term.
@hunterrwiilson so is it a tuner or it it better to just buy a tuner
Did you have to tune the truck or the little computer do everything?
No tuning required! This basically just adjusts the voltage sent to throttle body and controls it that way. This module does all the adjustments for you so you can just enjoy it.
How has it held up for you over the year? Any codes popping up? Thanks
Not one! And I’ve loved it, keeps the truck feeling more peppy than ever
so i can order one for me please
I have. 1999 gmc serria would it work on that?
I am unsure. If you go to Pedal Commander's website you can insert your vehicle make and model and it'll let you know if they a module that'll fit your truck.
so i’m guessing this doesn’t give you more HP or torque, just more of a throttle response
or even better gas mileage
It changes the voltage sent to the throttle body. So you can make it more sensitive or less. "ECO" mode can help your gas mileage, but from personal experience, I have gotten worse gas mileage from mashing my foot down so much...
@@hunterrwiilson okay thank you, I wasn’t 100% sure.
What exhaust do you have?
3rd cat delete, 3in exhaust back to a Borla XR-1 muffler
Do you put different modes while your parked? Or could u be in drive but not moving and adjusting it?? Thanks
Either or is fine! Just have to be stopped to do your switches between modes before you start driving
Do you have 4 cylinder mode deleted?
Yes! I have a small module that disables it. I’ll be making a video on that soon 😏
@@hunterrwiilson 👍🏻
Does it work for older trucks
I’d go to their website and see if you’re truck is compatible!
How is it for towing
I’ve never towed with it thus far, so I’m not too sure. Sorry :(
Can I use the 4x4?
Yes. This only adjusts the throttle sensitivity.
If all this is doing is increasing the signal voltage then it's not actually addressing the problem of throttle lag, only changing the pedal effective range.
The problem is the delay time, not range of pedal travel.
From what I know, and have experienced, the increase in signal voltage to the throttle body then "tricks" the truck into thinking the pedal has been pressed further down than the actual pressure applied. Therefore, decreasing throttle lag.
@@hunterrwiilson But that's just it, there is no decrease in lag (that is the delay in TIME from input to output), there is only an increase in the magnitude of said input. It's only changing the exponential curve of the throttle, not the time it takes for the actuator motor to do what it's being told.
Find an older vehicle with a throttle cable. From idle press the pedal all the way to the floor then release. The engine will rev up quite a bit then settle back to idle.
Now do the same thing in a vehicle with an electronic throttle. The engine will not rev, it will in most cases never leave idle.
That is the lag, you've gone all the way to full throttle and back before the engine even starts to respond.
That's the problem. This thing just makes it so you don't have to move your foot as far.
@@Anubis78250 you are correct. But, the guys over at Pedal Commander have a good idea of what they’re doing, and made a pretty good product. It may not be the answer to your problem, but it sure does help the situation at hand with how “laggy” these trucks are.
can you send me the link to it
If you go to Pedal Commander’s website you can insert your exact make and model to get you the right one for your vehicle!
They've been making this crap for decades. Don't waste the money, it's just a TPS controller. i put on on my first new truck in 94. GIMMICK CRAP. In my experience, the only benefits from even a "programmer" on on the diesels even in newer trucks. They seem to work, but very brand specific.
Well, let’s recognize the 20 year difference in vehicles. I’m no sponsor for Pedal Commander but I can tell you I’ve had absolutely zero issues with my new model after correct installation.
See this is the kind of comment that would've swayed me not to buy one. I got mine a couple days ago and it's been GREAT! Totally different feel to the truck now. And my mileage went up at least 1 mpg. And that's a big deal on a lifted truck with 35s. And it's on City +3 not even ECO mode.
@@Streetshakersgotflex this is why you listen to the guy who makes honest videos, oh wait, that’s me 🙋🏼♂️
@Hunter Wilson Yup. I watched your video and a few others the other night before I pulled the trigger. Thanks for putting your opinion out there. It seems some people find a cold air intake and a hand held tuner or things like this pedal commander useless and I've found that to not be true at all. Adding a C.A.I. and a pedal commander have gained me gas mileage and a better driving experience all around.
@@Streetshakersgotflex Likewise. My truck has opened up with such the smallest of modifications and some people don’t agree because I didn’t spend thousands of dollars doing so.
Wouldn’t have to buy this extra crap if they weren’t trying to force everyone into completely electronically controlled cars..just food for thought
Preaching to the choir
Absolutely hate how fucking quiet your truck is
Jeez, you ok?
There's always a hater somewhere in the croud
what mode do you find yourself using for daily driving?
I’ve been on Sport +4 for about a year now (was at City +4 originally). Idk about you but traffic around my city can be crazy so I’m always ready to yeet and skeet around if need be lol
@@hunterrwiilson i’m at Sport +2 might try +4 and see how I like it! Sport+ is just ridiculous hahaha it’s fun tho
@@Packersfan373 let me know how you like it! Yeah Sport+ is wayyyy to jumpy lol
