This is exactly what needed to come out of the capture/modeling companies. You can make it fit on your board for multiple purposes. Put an orange terror stamp with it and a few mini pedals of choice you have a nice little rig on the go. Brilliant
just picked up the badlander pack, gonna try it tomorrow at practice !! like you said, that pedal would be a great way to load drive pedals in to go in front of the big tonex and cheaper than most drives too !! David,
@@TONEWARSgearshow man they sounded wicked through our PA, I don't use a cab on stage, strictly PA and monitors...I liked them all. BuT I did prefer the DC dual cabs..worked. better for my application! Thanks man !!!!
@RECTIFIER101 so good to hear.! I love the Dual cab captures as well. You get the best of both worlds. Thanks so much for sharing this with me. Cheers!
Will get it for sure. Perfect solution for small money to have at home. In studio I have Kemper Stage, but really hate disconnecting it, audio interface, di box etc. back and forth, to take it home, since there is not much happening in the studio at the time. Would have bought Kemper Player if it had solid direct to daw audio interface/driver option, dunno, haven't tried it myself, but many had complaints in regards to that, didn't want to try it for the Player price. Tonex One, on the other hand, sound-price-feature wise is a perfect option for me. If it's USB audio will work, will consider it as a bonus, otherwise won't mind getting a used audio interface for cheap to record at home. Like the fact how IK multimedia is moving quickly and putting pressure on the competition. Glad to hear you are hooking up with them, wish you luck! Have your nasty Driftwood Kemper profiles, will get a couple of Tonex captures as well. Rock on Tone wars!
Great demo amd intro tune. Amazing how great this tiny (and cheap) unit can sound... AI is really starting to show its strength and products like this shows how disruptive it will get (and not just for guitar tone ..)
Hello Jarrod , thank you for your channel , i want to know how much you would charge for a capture of all 3 channels of your Evh 5150 stealth for tonex one pedal and is it possible to capture just the head and once i get the capture to add my own ir’s and save it on the pedal… Thank you !
I'm a bit of a "digiphobe". I see it's uses and strengths but there's a reason that it's main tone goal is to emulate analog, and tubes in particular, that defines it as sonically inferior. Look at the wall of amps in the background. Cheaper? More convenient? Absolutely. And that makes it purposeful and useful. With that disclaimer, I'm very impressed with this pedal. Of course it's all going through digital medium before we hear it anyway, but this pedal is impressive. This can also be used as a preamp and you can use it's controls, tone stack, compression, and reverb to add to the captures. Awesome little pedal and reasonably priced.
I like your use of various boost pedals! I'm glad you don't stick with just one either, and that you got the skinny on which boost are best with which amp. Blended distortion types to me always sound better than ANY amp's stand-alone gain-staging. As for this pedal, it pisses me off! I already got the Tonex, and I'm a mini pedal whore. Now I want one of these too! The Mooer micro preamps didn't do it for me on my mini board projects. I wonder if IK will make me a white one?
I've been learning alot of new songs lately, and what I've learned is that if you mention Jake E. Lee, Randy Rhoads, or Zakk Wylde, you will generate an endless chain of comments debating why Michael Romeo is better than Yingyang Milkshake.
@@muleblues71 I feel like this didn't come off as obvious of a joke as I had intended. But, exactly as you said all subjective. I like everyone mentioned. I had just been watching a bunch of videos of Ozzy songs trying to learn this stuff and saw the ridiculous arguments about the three guitar players. The joke being that neither Michael Romeo nor Yngwie have anything to do with ozzy.
Your intro... You've always been great, but the last few months has been amazing to see the growth, just killing it 😎. My 18 yr old saw you playing on a video a few weeks back and was blown away. Wondering if there is a drive pedal pack you would recommend? ODD box is my favorite right now
Thank you so much for the compliments. I really appreciate that. To your question, I will have an overdrive pack coming out very soon on my website at tonewars.com. the odd box will definitely be in there. It should be up by Friday
Hey Jarrod, I'd love to get some of your EVH stealth d.i captures but you don't offer a stealth pack on its own. Is there any way I can buy just them off you?
Yet it's far from it. It is great for it's price. But then aggain you have to add the fx seperately, then you have to tapdance your way through all when going from clean to distortion. Theres a reason why it is so stripped from features, because it's way cheaper. The quad cortex and both kemper burry the tonex. Even the small kemper has the option to create presets with effects. To me to not add specific effect on the unit makes no sense. Almost makes it like a more fancy distortion pedal or something. For me no1 is the quad cortex, easy and portable. Everything is in the unit.
Lol I hear you. There's a lot of reviews about this product today. I honestly wasn't expecting it to be like this. That said, it really is a great product and I can see why they wanted to do a big push with it. I think a lot of people are going to really enjoy this thing. It's affordable and it offers a lot for the money.
Apart for the form factor and don't think there's nothing to be exited for. It's basically a Tone X that uses the same profiles of its bigger brothers but with less functions. The big brother is small enough to be placed in a pedalboard without any complaints. Guitar pedals keep getting smaller and smaller without any real adavanges...it's a fraud only to make the market happy. Don't be fooled.
@@matteomidas638 And I think your opinion is very short sighted. My board can’t fit my old Tone X, but it can fit this one. You make proclamations and generalizations, but the OG isn’t a one size fits all. This is, and it can model my other pedals I can’t fit on my board. This product isn’t for you. Move on.
Just bought ..u sold me ..had the big one but gave to my brother …this is perfect for me ..thanks dood
Not for me but cool. I’m just waiting on the Friedman Plex!

Can you use a real boost to boost the one pedal
I need a normal poweramp if I want to use this through a 412, right? Doesn't it sound "plastic" in the room with 412?
