This will be the perfect travel amp/interface! I'm planning on using it with my iPad where I have all sort of weird FX, looper, time-based FX, etc., also, if IK Multimedia enters the headphone amp competition they can combine this in the form factor of the Katana GO, NUX MP3, Mustang Micro, etc. and combine some FXs from their Amplitube series so it'll be the best headphone amp with the best amp emulations
I'm a happy Helix and HX Stomp user but this is absolutely amazing....may well free up some DSP in the HX Stomp to do the amp work while the Stomp does all the FX and still a tiny footprint. Amazing time to be a guitarist.
Woke up and saw Fluffs video. Bought it before it was even over. Haha. I have the tone x pedal and I’m digging it. I usually carry it with me for a backup to a real amp rig I run but it is quite large to throw in my backpack. This is perfect.
The processors are probably like 1/4 of the size of a stamp. What pisses me off is that this means the first Tonex could've easily been 1/2 the size since the beginning. Just make it 2 footswitches instead of 3 and give it regular knobs back for easier tweaks.
This product isn’t for me but man is it cool and I’m happy it exists. Can’t wait to see what the future of guitar gear looks like in this space. It’s only going to get cooler over time
I’m happy these companies are beginning to make these kinds of things for people who don’t need as many bells and whistles but still has a lot of functionality I think I might wait till these types of devices get sorted out a little more though
Great size once set up, and with so much variety to choose from. I'd hate to tweak it on the go though without app. Not a fan knobs that indicate a value (with the physical pointer strip) that may be different from what's in use (like ALT vs non-ALT selection). You never know the real current value and where you're starting from when you just want to tweak a bit up or down. Personally using (when not on FM9) an Iridium w/MultiSwitch+ giving me 5 presets on the pedal board.
OK… You’ve got me seriously considering buying this. The price is low enough to where it’s almost an impulse buy. my main amp is a Mesa boogie Mark five. I love the idea of digital modeling, however, it is hard to beat that amp. Once you get it dialed in. Being able to capture my own amp sound would be amazing.… I’m reaching for my card.
Many people really like the tiny stomp boxes, but I'm definitely not a fan. Not taking away from what they do or why they're used, but my big ass feet can't hit just one if they're side-by-side on a pedal board. I need that extra room. Maybe because I'm also lead singer, so I'm not looking down when I stomp, and I may need a little room to hit the button without hitting another. I see it good for your use case, but for live performance, they leave something to be desired IMHO. Finally, an overhyped pedal on RUclips for which I have zero use. :D
I love your content…I never feel like you’re lying. There are a lot of channels, but not a lot the I trust. That said…I still think tubes are a vastly superior tone. For a tube guy like me, this is an inexpensive alternative in the event a need to go straight to PA. The Walrus, UA, and Strymon pedals are a little pricey if they aren’t on your board full time.

Great video and yeah it sounds like begiiners dream as this is all you need to get started playing with just it headphones and maybe a PC and then sound great! Which I wounder how many oums of headphones can it dirive? Though what I use is an maudio interface for connecting my guitar to PC and a fender delux micro amp for practice away from my PC. togather cost under $100 though are not as compact abd the micro amp need fussing to sound great... Which this isn't cheaper but I do feel it would be nice for thgose who want it compact and in one thing.
Can you recommend a powered speaker that would work well with it? I have been using a boss GT-100 occasionally with a clean Orange 35Ttransistor amp..not that happy with it, this pedal sure is getting raves. Thanks.
I remember listening to my brother's albums back in the mid 70’s. Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, Nazareth, Early ZZ Top, Led Zeppelin. etc. There was something about those recordings that I miss. They were raw, analog and unsophisticated. I recall there were some live albums too, and you could hear noise coming from the pickups as songs ended and new songs began, even feedback before someone muted the guitar. Fast forward to today and everyones trying to eliminate the 60 cycle hum. I wonder if it’s that big of a deal? Like I said, I think the rawness of those old recordings is kind of lacking in today's pureness. Potential RUclips topic? Take Care.
Your closing comments are really the important stuff in my opinion. It's not that we don't enjoy having options but the reason we want 'less' is because we need our experience of picking up our guitars and playing to be easy. We need less obstacles in the way of doing what we are supposed to do and that's play

This is super cool. I can't believe they can fit that all in such a small pedal.

Couldn't preorder fast enough. Used your affiliate link. Thanks for the demo Brooooski! Can't wait to get my hands on it!

I can't stop looking at that Texas Toast Guitar 🎸 in the background, Love The Look of it.. Thanks for Sharing Dylan 🎸🎶🎶🎶🎶
paintjob does kinda look like the result of an accident with an unholy woodchipper tho
I was feeling cute and was sauntering over to your channel to tease you with," Sooo, have you seen the new ToneX?" But you beat me to it, Dylan! 👍🤪

And at a reasonable price too.
Much obliged! Thanks!
There's no doubt in my mind that many times, in this wonderful hobby of mine, (ours), less can be better.

Very cool and simple love it
This is awesome! Is there a way to use your pedalboard with it like an amp with an effects loop, i.e., a four cable set up?
Nope.
Did Dylan just call me a girl? 2:01 lol
Yup, you’re the .3 percent 😂 jk 🤘🏻

Now all it needs is a little class d amplified output for monitors or cabs.

What fender Tonex clean tone are you using?

Can you explain to someone who is not technically minded why this is better than the Boss IR2? as you can also load IRs into the Boss I believe
The best small modeller is the Kemper Player.
The best marketing campaign belongs to IK Multimedia.
it's not a modeller - it's a player 😎
So amazing, what a game changer, oh I'm gonna buy one, wowwwwww..... reality = yawnnnnnnnn

Check out the Source Audio L.A. Lady/Kingmaker/After Shock.
You can find a used one for 100 bucks.
You’re welcome.
That thing looks no bigger than a P90 pickup😱
Is the Tonex One out? I can't tell. There are Only 20 Demo videos in my Notifications. RUclips is gross
😂😂😂 same on my timeline
G Ross 😂
Great the 50th video today about the same shit every other guitar guy/gal is covering. BORING
Great… the 50th comment saying the same thing. Boring.
