Thanks for the Vid ( even though I am more than a year late to the party ). I held the Sp01 and the 75B Omega over and over and I just couldn't put the 75B down. I suppose at the end of the day I like the "OG" 75 and the history behind it. Can't wait to get to the range!!
I've got the CZ-75B Omega in standard black (no suppressor set-up). I've had it over a year now and love it. I changed out the sights with Truglo tritium night sights. I changed the grips to the G10 style from Grrips.
I am new to CZ and just got a Scorpion Evo 3 which is very fun to shoot. Thinking of getting a CZ 75 either Sp 1 or with the cheaper Omega trigger type. Or I should say less expensive Omega Trigger group. The Original is a bit beefier and tried and true but the Omega seems to do the job just fine especially for Civilian use. Both come in similar configurations the Original SP1 is usually about 80 more expensive. And the reason the sights are high on the 75B is because it is Suppressor ready and are intended to work with a suppressor attached.
Got rid of 3 striker polys now have a sp-01 tac , and a p-09 . Just discovering the all metal pistol so much different to shoot . Still like the poly pistols but hard to beat metal .
Nice video Big Johnson. I own both of these guns, except my 75 Omega isn't suppressor ready, and both are excellent shooters. Very flat shooting and I'm accurate as all get out with both. But I do lean to the SP01 as the preferred one. It came with NS whereas the 75B Omega came with the phosphorus sights. But I love the heft of the SP. I'll be happy to shoot either one at any given time. The classic lines of the 75B O are sleek and elegant. I'm fortunate to have both and shoot them often for the sheer enjoyment of it. I also enjoy the P01 as well and carry it pretty often as my CCW. I just wish I could find a P06 to carry. I love the 40 and prefer to carry a 40 as my go to CCW. Personally I don't mind the hooked trigger of the SP01. It doesn't cause any adverse effects in shooting and is still very comfortable during firing. Take care big'un.
I have the CZ 75B Omega suppressor ready, It's a Great pistol, it goes to the range evry weekrnd. Did have a problem with the decocker that stopprd working, sent it to CZ and they repaired it for nothing. I also have the CZ Rami 2075 D love that pistol.
Have a bunch of both, I prefer the way the original triggers a little more. For DA/SA I actually like the hook in the trigger. Seems to fit my fingers perfectly anyway. They're both great though and I can roll with either.

Love the Tactical for my needs, I put a light on the Rail. I actually prefer the Original trigger I tried the Omega trigger on a Suppressor ready P-01 and the trigger would bind or pinch my finger, again that is subjective as all hands/fingers are different.
I may be one of the few people that doesn't mind the recurve trigger. Both CZ's that I own (1st gen 75 B Omega & 75 D Compact w/Rail) have the recurve trigger. Since I have medium-sized hands with fingers that are short and wide, that trigger seems relatively easy to control to me.
I like the classic look which is why I went with the PCR over the P-01 Also I would get the normal 75BD I prefer to decock from the rear end of the decocker rather than the front
Thanks a lot man for your explanation! California here I can only get BD/B or SP01. I always wanted a cool pistol, let say SP01 and saw many videos, and its recoil looks hella good compared to BD/B, but just like you said, preference, I feel I will eventually still want to have a BD/B even if I got a SP01, but I feel if I got the 75BD, I will be hella satisfied probably the original look! About the rail system, I kinda want the gun to be used for Home defense or conceal, and I already have a Springfield XD with a TLR-A and honestly not feeling too great to add more weight to a pistol as I want quick draw. I also have a Chiappa rhino with rail, but due to the weight, I skipped adding anything to the rail and let the revolver stays at 30oz loaded.
Hey Big Johnson! love your video! Your observation in comparing the beaver tails on these two pistols is Awesome! I don't see anyone else covering this....but it makes a difference! Now, take a look at the standard 75B....which is what I have. The gun fires great but the beaver tail sucks. It actually points down and digs into the web of your hand! I am from Cali so I can't get the Omega. The SP-01, on the other hand, is on the roster so I am going to be picking that up next week....feels awesome in the hand and allows your hand to go where it wants to go. Why does the omega decode forward and the regular cz decock toward rear? I’m thinking it’s because of the omega system. Please confirm. It is driving me bonkers
Depends on what you want to do with it? Using it Home defense, Carry, target practice or what? They are both great guns. For me I prefer the P-07, thanks for Watching! Carry on
I have the SP-01 among other CZ pistols and really love them all. I'd really like to send you some of my "minimalist" grip enhancement kits for those worthless and missing grip checkering areas. It's pretty amazing how much they help. Selling a ton of them. I don't leave home without them. :-)
I chose the CZ-75B Omega. I almost got the same Urban Grey one but decided not to once I saw it in person. The finish almost looked like house paint or thick spray paint IMO. I love the way my CZ feels but the trigger is awful. I am use to trigger fire pistols that have a flat trigger with a 3.5lb trigger with little to no take up. Same for my rifles. I plan to upgrade the trigger on mine and replace the grips and throw in a fiber optic front sight. Fun project gun.
Nice video as always. I do like the front checkering on the SP-01, probably because it feels right my hand. Will get a a 75 Urban in the future. #CZLIFE
They both shoot great, I’m not recoil sensitive..so it would depend on which YOU like. The SP-01 has more muzzle weight / dust cover so that may help most people...I mentioned that in the video. Carry on
Maybe I’m thinking about this wrong but it seems as if the Omega having high sites would cause the shooter to be a little high in target practice. Has anyone had that issue?
One of the biggest differences that you failed to mention is the P01 has a alloy frame and the Omega is all steel! Both are great pistols, so great I bought a 75d PCR and then a couple weeks later I picked up the 75b Omega.

Would be a pretty good review, I think, if I could have listened to all of it. However, "you know', I couldn't get past, "you know", the repetitive use of "you know." Pet peeve of mine, and hope you will do more videos, but try really hard to quit saying "you know" every 10 seconds or so.

i have the czp09 kind both worlds. polymer look's like the sp01 and has the omega trigger and its a great feeling full size
