Judging by the low sail number 4 you have one of the first Laser 2's Some nice trapeze action there ! Getting soaking wet is part of the fun of sailing a Laser !
Laser 2s started with hull# 450 for some reason..so it would have said 454. Not simply 4. I have 953..so #503. But who cares??!! It's all about having fun with a bud on the water..:-)
Great footage of the sailing. Whoever was shooting from the powerboat did a great job. Loved the on boat angles as well and the overall editing was great 😊.
how come you get to have all the fun and I'm stuck fixing my trucks and holiday trailer, I'm pouting. Happy for you to be able to get out with your brother and have fun.
My previous neighbor had/has a Laser 2. I actually got to race the it against other laser 2 back in the late 2000s. I broke both trapeze wires on two different years. Just dropped straight into the water.
Gillian, Nascar superstar Hailie Deegan mentioned your sailing channel in her podcast a few night ago, it seems that Hailie is quite the accomplished sailor, when she lived in California they would travel to coast and raced Laser 2 and Hobie Cat 16 catamarans, but she has since moved to North Carolina and her parents have bought a house on a huge lake and Hailie is wanting to purchase a sail boat. She said she watches a lot of sailing channels but kept coming back to your channel because of your honesty and how open you are about the whole process you went through with the purchase, the refit, what it's like to live in a confined area with Jonas, one thing that caught me off guard was Hailie stating how insanely attractive you are. I think Hailie is looking for a 18 to 22 footer, I recommended a Catalina Capri 18, nice little boat with a day cabin, low maint, and fairly easy to sail. Just shows people from all walks of life are viewing your channel, it has great content and the filming and editing is top shelf...
Loved this video and reiterate all the positive comments. The content is great as is the editing. Not sure what boat it is, looks like a larger and more complex laser?
That looked like fun! Did your brother insist on being at the helm, or did you just want to fly off the side? Thanks for a nice "where it all began" story.
Awesome video, looks like you had a blast! BTW.. Boaters Exchange grand opening was postponed to Saturday August 14 (get my last comment?). Maritime Museum of B.C. will be there too. Would love to see you there. Bring your wish list!
Oh cool! I'm not sure if we did see your last comment. Sometimes they seem to get lost along the way. I tried looking back but must have missed it. Thanks for the info and we'll look into it!!
@@BlueMoonLife I asked I provided you my email if you could send me your wish list. I want to help out but don't subscribe to social media or online contribution sites (I'm old fashioned).

Velejo de Laser em Itaguá, Ubatuba, Brasil.
You really do a nice job of filming and editing. Keep up the good work 😎
Thank you :D
Truly uplifting and somehow quite magical . . . . . So does every Canadian get their own lake to sail on or is that just my impression . . . .
Fun.
Nice video
Captain Gillian, I think you are making Josh jealous.

Absolutely fabulous, there are very few better sensations. Who taught you guys to sail?

Do you have an Amazon Wish list set up?
you are missing your top batten, and your cunningham isn't attached, hence the wrinkles running along the sail, but great video, beautiful light !
