Finally, the perfect teacher. I have tried numerous times to make a bow. I watched you one time and got it. You are wonderful. Thank you for making my life so much easier.
I'm new to crafting, just started last year. Never crafted until I became an empty nester 🙂. This is one of the best bow tutorials I've ever watched. Im so ready to try some bows now.
Love your bow tutorial. I started crafting when I took my children on vacation at a resort in Williamsburg. They had bow making and wreath making classes for parents. Been crafting ever since-- over 25 years and love it!
My love of crafting came when I got married. My sister was always decorating the church trees and the church itself. Also we decorated the health center, the community center, the fish house and the community square as well as the preservation society. Of course I learned my bow making from her. I’ve always made grapevine wreaths and ornaments wreaths. I also made crafts for the United Methodist Woman craft show.
I just started crafting about a month ago, during quarantine. Years ago I use to cross stitch, but had to stop because of my eyes. I was getting so bored in the house all the time, so I started watching different wreath making videos and decided to try it and I’m loving it!
When I’ve had several strokes needed something to do and fell in love with wreath making about 4 years ago👑 of wreaths. I’d love to see another tutorial on the pretty pedal
I fell in love with crafting since I was young. I made awesome lace angels, and wreaths, scrunches, you name it and I tried it. I feel really relaxed when I’m crafting.
I just started making some wreaths and I want to start selling them. I kept going back and forth on whether or not I was going to buy pre-made bows or just buy ribbon and do it myself. Those bows with all the multiple loops are difficult for me trying to hold them in place as I make each loop. When I saw you make that first one with the stripes I was like yes 🙌🏼 That's the one for me! I'm going to the craft store now 😂
I got my love of crafting from my mom, sister, and my mother in law! My sister is 18 years older than me and she has always decorated the community for Christmas. We also done the 2 churches on our island. We live on an island on the east coast along the barrier reef in North Carolina called Ocracoke. Maybe 800 people but swells to 6,000 in the summer! Now my mother in law her yard is perfect grass is green and mowed just so! She is perfect and knows what she wants. She and my sister taught me bow making. Every holiday she has something special!
I got started making bows and crafting on RUclips I saw something I like and I wanted to copy it. So I made the wreath that I saw and it turned out great. Then I decided to design my own wreath and I have been making wreaths and doing DIY's every since.
When i was like 7 my grandmother (currently my last surviving grandparent 😢) introduced me to cross stitch. That is probably my first crafty sparking memory but my maternal grandmother (passed away just before christmas 2012) was really where my crafty side shined. Made a quilt with her assistance, made my own wedding invites with her massive stamp it up collection. Miss her dearly 😢😢😢
Julie you have the best speaking voice. I learned a lot from you showing us how to make bows. I am an Empty Nester and starting my own crafting business, mostly sewing. I really enjoyed your video. Thank you Julie.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for showing me how to make the best bows❣️ I can't make a bow to save my life 🤣 Now I believe I can 😁❣️ Love from Northeastern Pennsylvania 🇱🇷❣️ Stay safe and God bless 🙏 🙏❣️
My grandmother showed me how to crochet when I was younger and then I got into needlepoint, plastic canvas, paint by number, diamond crafting, jewelry making, and so much more❤❤🎀🎀
My Nana was not really crafty my Mama was. She used to do all sorts of things but I never got in to it till after she passed sadly. I started crocheting. The other crafting I did not start till I found a lady on RUclips doing really cool things and her personality and attitude got me hooked. She is the one who really got me in to Crafting. That was This Southern Girl Can! She is awesome and got me in to watching others like you and a noble touch from there yea well it just exploded.
Thank u so much for doing this tutorial, Ive watched it over and over, I still refer back to this video when creating bows for my gifts and baskets. Thank you so much 🙏
Your tutorials have been sooo helpful to me. I started wreath making about 3 years ago. My husband and I bought a new house with a beautiful glass detailed door with side lights, and I wanted to add seasonal wreaths. Once I saw the prices on various sites, I started learning different techniques to make them myself. Bow making has always been more difficult for me, and your videos have been the best way for me to improve my skills!! Thank you so much!!!
My mom got me into crafting! she was so creative and had an eye to make things look even more beautiful. I have been crafting on and off for years just mostly when i had time! recently i decided to make time to do crafts.
After an hour of failed attempts I found your video and made the perfect Mary Casey bow..your instructions were very clear and at a great pace for a beginner!!Thanks soo much!!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, you have no idea how happy my mommy is. It took her a year to finally be able to make a simple bow. The step by step instructions on how to make one is the best one we’ve seen.
Thank you for such a helpful video! I’ve always been intimidated by bow making and this video helped so much!! My whole family are crafters: grandma, mom, several aunts, cousins, basically all the women!
My Mother was the inspiration for all things crafty, and my Dad was an art teacher, so we always had access to any and every art medium we wanted to play around with. Thanks so much for the tutorial. I have been making bows for years, and have always loved making my Christmas packages look pretty, but have never been truly successful in making bows look just the way I want them to. I think I can do so now with the help of this tutorial!
Thank you sooo much for this easy bow tutorial. I'm making a Christman door wreath for someone special. Your tutoring was easy to follow....Have a Bless Merry Christma.
I started crafting with my mother who taught classes at the YWCA. We were into all kinds of crafts from the mid-60's through the 90's. She had a florist friend who taught wreath classes and I thought I knew how to make a decent bow but I really learned a lot from your tutorial. I was sitting at my desk after work because a co-worker had asked me to make 20+ bows and I was struggling with them. I decided to look on RUclips and thankfully found you! The bows are now complete and I feel I have a much better understanding of how to make a good looking bow. Thank you!
I literally just watched your video and put a bow together!! Your instructions are easy, understandable, and great! Thanks for this video!! It definitely gets a 100/100!
Julie Thank you for showing me how to make all the difference bows. I learned a lot. I am still watching your video each time I make a bow. Thank you. Lydia Johnson from Chicago
As a 52 yr old single guy who's been wrapping all the kids presents for the last 20 yrs. I waned to find some different bows from the same few I've been making for years. Found this video and not only found some new ideas but let me say, as a handy guy who can fix just about everything, "You had me at zip tie!!" :)
Many years ago I tried many times to make a Mary Casey style bow and was unsuccessful. I gave up and figured it just wasnt going to happen. So after all these years I needed some bows and tried again and with your guidance BAM I finally got it!! Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
I started bout 2 years ago to help relieve stress. And never could make a bow so started slowly making but going to make one with 3 ribbon for a Easter wreath. Your video was very helpful. Thank you for doing it.
I started out by sewing and gradually started small scale crafts. The pandemic fueled my addiction. It's truly my therapy (I teach 6th grade). This is the best tutorial for bows!
I found your video last year, I made about 5 wreaths with the zip tie bow, everyone thought they looked beautiful and was surprised the wreaths were homemade (by me). I couldn't remember how to make it and was so happy I found it again so I can make some for fall this year. I've watched many videos and yours are definitely the best. Oh, I got into crafting from my mom and when I became a Girl Scout leader for my daughter's troop!
You, got me into wreaths about 6 months ago. I watched and re-watched you make a peacock wreath it was absolutely the most beautiful wreath I had ever seen. I had never made a wreath before. I thought I would start out with a simple one just to see how my hands worked with ribbon and wire. Girlfriend I will tell you that it has been a lifesaver my peacock wreath was my second wreath and it turned out absolutely beautiful and I believe I sent you a picture. Thank you thank you thank you!

It is so nice that you are showing how to make bows! I’ve always had a hard time making them. I like the way you made a big loop to make the tail of the 3rd bow.
Thank you so much for your tips! I used the zip tie technique for my bows, and they turned out beautifully for a friend's wedding! You're a life saver!!
Just made my first bow ever. Years of crafting and never thought I could. Thank you. Your directions were so easy to follow even while distracted by my two boys.
Great job explaining and demonstrating. THANK YOU!!! I started crafting 12 years ago after retiring because of Anxiety Disorder. It kept my mind and hands busy and much more calming than teaching school.
I only do Christmas bows. I worked at a department store and when they had gift wrapping the lady taught me how to make a general bow. And now I look at videos to learn more. I love your 3rd bow. I think I will try that one.
Thank you for these simple tips. I finally was able to make a decent bow for the first time! I made the third one with the three different bows together. It’s going on my tree.❤️🙂
Julie, thank you! I have always been so terrible when creating ribbons! This video really helped give me confidence to try, and I love how you explain everything. I will create ribbons for my Thanksgiving mantle. Hopefully, they will turn out as good as yours. You are great! God bless you for helping me.
I am military retired and in 2016 I started making baby cakes as a gift for a baby shower...then ordered a wreath off esty and thought it needed more embellishments and it took off..At the young age of over 50..😄 who knew I was talented in crafting...love it!
I am so lousy at making bows. Never could understand the written instructions. You make it all seem so much easier but I haven't tried these yet. LOL! I am saving this video to come back to. My only concern is the carpal tunnel making things difficult. I really appreciate you putting out this tutorial. My mom taught me to crochet and I taught myself how to knit but I didn't really get into crafting until a year ago when a friend asked me to make a wreath for her mom's gravesite. In the process of looking for tips and ideas to make the wreath I ran across all of these crafting channels. I was hit with the bug and here I am making wreaths, centerpieces and all sorts of things I never thought I would make for myself and as presents. Now I check out catalogs and stores for ideas to use as inspiration and I follow channels like yours.
My love of crafting started with COVID😷. After being bored out of my mind, being unemployed, and a huge RUclips fan, YOUR wreaths caught my eye. Thank you for being such a great Teacher!🙂🤗👍
Thanks for the tutorials! I first got into crafting when I was 12 and went to a friend's birthday party. Her Mom got us little wooden jewelry boxes to paint and decorate as a fun activity :) My Mom is really into home decor too. She taught me how to knit!
My crafting started very young. It was 1967 I was 8. I took family pictures and made a collage. My mother was very angry. Those days to develop pictures was expensive. Then in junior high school I had sewing…then there was that fruit with pins and bead..lol. When I was 14 I got a job curling ribbons. I never stopped crafting. I try everything. One thing I can’t do is bows. How crazy is that. Thank you for this video.
I craft once in a while. It takes too much money for everything and sometimes is less expensive to buy something that is done. But when I am crafting, I learn so much from RUclips videos. No one in my family craft, but some of my siblings like sewing.
I use to help my mother and grandmother as a child. We lived in deep country and we resourced grape 🍇 vine and field straw to make wreaths and broom's. We made our own bows. It was fun.
I just wanted to do something with my hands. My grandma did needle point, I did do cross stitch, but my eyesight is not that good now and I learned that from a neighbor. Thanks for sharing the bows.
I am a writer of poetry, but had a rt shoulder replacement that left my right arm and hand completely disabled due to a problem during surgery. I wasn't able to use my right hand to write any longer. This left me battling depression. It was my husband who talked me into trying crafting. Before that, I had never crafted before. Needless to say, it became my escape. I was hooked. My hubby built me a crafting studio and go figure, I wasn't bad at my new hobby. 😊
Thanks so much!!! I did a add a few steps so I could make a hair bow, do what you said, add a longer tail, and add a Bobby pin through the back of the pipe cleaner. Also tape works if you can’t find glue.
I watch you I subscribed the First time and love your tutorials. I started crafting 20 yrs ago and never could make bows as you demonstrated. Thank you for the time you took to mentor those who have a hard time learning. I'm older now and coming across your RUclips is amazing. Please continue your skill it helps people like me.
My daughter Zosia says "she's proud of you" - she's 4 and we've just watched this video together and she's really impressed :)
That’s so cute! Have a good holiday :)

Finally found someone with a video that makes it easy to understand how to make a beautiful bow step by step! Thank you!
I craft once in a while. It takes too much money for everything and sometimes is less expensive to buy something that is done. But when I am crafting, I learn so much from RUclips videos. No one in my family craft, but some of my siblings like sewing.
This tutorial was so good! I can’t wait to make a bow for my Christmas wreath!
That’s wonderful!
You tube got me in to crafting! About 2-3 years ago. I find if so fun and stress relieving!
I started crafting in Elementary school, my teachers always loved my artwork.
