Nowadays (at the end of 2021) they are more expensive due to the high demand I think. They are sold out regularly and you have to wait at least six weeks before the next batch is shipped from Indonesia. I paid € 359,-- which is significantly more than the € 289,-- at the time you made the video. I couldn't care less... it's a beauty.

I bought one a year ago without the electronics. It's a beautiful guitar for the price (226 Euros at that time). It played well and easy. I gave it to my grandson as a gift and he loves it. Great playing as always Jonathan.

Wonderful playing! I must also praise your recording technique as you achieved a more natural and probably closer to real life tone than Harley Benton in their promo video. I find it more pleasant to the ear.

Just received my CLD-41SE WN. I received it in Virginia beach VA exactly one week after placing my order. The intonation is the best I've experienced in an acoustic guitar. Sounds great, feels great, looks great, and of course the price was great too. Thank you for your review Jonathan, now I have this and the silver Sparkle Harley Benton Fusion 3 thanks to your reviews. Jonathan, if it wasn't for the very affordable price of the Harley Benton guitars I wouldn't be able to afford to watch you anymore. Currently I have my eye on two more Harley Benton's, one being the 550 and the other being the hb35. Normally I like guitars with trems on them but since I recently discovered something called the virtual Jeff tremolo I think I'll be able to get whatever I want whenever I want it now. I had my eye on this guitar for some time now, unfortunately Thomann doesn't have a left-handed model. It's really a gorgeous looking and sounding guitar for its price.
@@OBEH85 I considered that. I could change the nut and compensated bridge. The asymmetrical bracing though will have some impact on the tonality of the guitar. Probably not enough to be fussed about for a guitar in this price range but it will be something lingering in my mind ahaha.

That guitar is just drop dead gorgeous! It looks almost like a Martin with the beautiful inlays and wood materials and while I know it can't produce the richness and top professional sounds of a Martin guitar it is still of a very high quality in it's own right. I would love to own a Harley Benton like this and it offers so much for the price, it's quite incredible. To say that this guitar sounds pretty good is an under statement..It sounds amazing. I have compared it with All solid wood guitars and ill tell you it might not be as huge sounding or just as loud as some but its got bass..In fact this guitar is very warm sounding if you compare it with guitars in the same price range. In that sense they nailed the D41 very warm sound. Its got Just enouph bass, if you are a strummer, this is just perfect, you dont need that much bass as it will make it very hard to get a good recording. When it comes to feel, this is the best acoustic i ever played. Perfect neck and just overall feel when playing.

I ordered this stunning guitar a month earlier than you did. Mine hasn't electronic, cause I don't like it. What can I say? I was looking value replacement for Martin for long long time, searching a lots of brands. Finally I found this beauty. For the price, there is no other option - they've builded awesome instrument which sounds as close to Martin as it's possible for that cost. So, if I'm planing play a gig and afraid of stealing original Martin, I can pick this HB and sound pretty close. Of course not exactly the same, but pretty close (Martin sounds a little more elegant, maybe the reason is solid wood on the back and sides as well, which HB hasn't). Summing up, for that price I can't see the any other option. That guitar is made with the highest perfection.

I’ve been watching the two acoustic reviews backwards Jonathan and this to me is the better. Maybe not the prettiest but the sound is lovely and it’s a handsome guitar nonetheless. I bought this one 2 years ago used for 60€ from a annoyed dad (this son gives up on playing guitar) it is the first version with real rosewood fretboard. I love it to death and i dont see any reason to ever replace it.

I really need to get one. I'm used to my Martin DC16GTE, but it's got a lot of wear and tear because I gig a lot and I have to find something to replace it and these guitars really look good but I haven't had a chance to try them, so please, could you give me an advice?
Hi.. guitars are very subjective to individual wants and preferences. I truly think you can go wrong with a Martin. But you will have to make the selection yourself and see how it feels✌️❤️

So recently I've purged my inventory of a lot of different guitars including my only acoustic guitar, a 2004 USA made Adamas 1597. That guitar had a beautiful neck and sounded great plugged in. But I could never get comfortable with the round back and it just didn't have a lot of projection acoustically. So I'm really not into buying expensive guitars right now and most recently I purchased the fusion 3 silver Sparkle based on your review. Almost right away I knew that would not be my last Harley Benton. So tonight I found myself looking at acoustic guitars online until I found a another review of the same guitar on another Channel. I was blown away by how beautiful they were and how wonderful they sounded. The 12-string was also reviewed. But despite how good the review seemed to be, I just had to know what Jonathan thought. So thank you for this review, you've helped me make my decision. Now I'm off to the Thamann website yet again. But I think I'm going to grab the 12-string too. I mean the price is so good, why not?
@@malcolmhardwick4258 yes I believe the top was wood sandwiched in carbon fiber. The color was wine red but could look black depending on the light and angle of view. I grew up watching Roy Clark and Glenn Campbell play them. My model was te 1547 I believe, same one Melissa Ethridge plays. Got it on ebay for $750.00 in 2005. It was made in the US in 2004. I let it go pretty cheap selling it to a guitar center in Virginia beach.

I own this exact guitar and this is the best acoustic guitar you can get under 500$ period..I would even say 700-800$.. There, you start to get solid back and sides guitars..Like the Alvarez Masterworks, Epiphones Masterbuilds and Corts Gold.
It’s beautiful. I hope it sells well enough for Thomann to produce them left-handed. I’ve got three HB guitars now and with some mods and fret treatment, they are probably the best value for money guitars you can buy. My most recent was their T-52. The pickups are surprisingly very good, all I did was put in some brass saddles, filed and polished the frets and put copper shielding throughout the cavities. Thomann claim they are going to expand their left-handed range of guitars, I can’t wait. Thank you Jonathan for demoing this great guitar, you did it justice.

That's a beautiful guitar for $300! I wonder how it compares to the Orangewood Echo Live, which I bought last year. For the money, it was amazing! It seems these Indonesian and even Chinese guitars have raised the bar on quality. I already have too many acoustic guitars, but the video makes me want that one!
Beautiful playing on a beautiful guitar. Hmm I've actually been thinking about an acoustic. I started playing on a classical and it's still a sound I adore. Western guitar has a nice color too though.
Hi, J. Interesting. Looks great but hard to tell how it sounds in the flesh on 'the toob'. I acquired an HB GS-Travel Mahogany a few months ago. It really is a sweet sounding and playing little guitar for the price. As you say, they improve with age.... PS - Love the mutts. Just can't keep them out of the action :).
Hi Jonathan, many thanks for putting together such a nice review of this guitar...really enjoy your music and playing style. I've just subscribed to your channel as a result of this review. I think this guitar sounds great and am looking into getting one myself. As I have been researching this particular guitar, I noticed that the previous version of this model had no electronics but had the sitka spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides. I'm guessing that all changed because of CITES. Just wondering if the previous version of this instrument with the rosewood would have sounded closer to your Martin (haven't been able to find much info in this regard). There seems to be a bit of debate about using walnut with the back and sides for an acoustic, but it seems that most of the negative chatter seems to come from fans of Martin. I currently own a Cordoba GK Studio Negra that does have a stika spruce top and Indian back and sides and it has wonderful tone (but, it's not steel string guitar). I guess that I'll have to wait and see for myself how the HB fairs in person...but from what I've heard from your video, I don't think that I'll be disappointed. Thanks again!

Jonathan have you had a chance to compare this to the Taylor 612CE or 614CE. A friend of mine bought a Taylor used and came over with it. We plugged it into my Fishman Loudbox Mini, and then I plugged my Washburn nice but inexpensive guitar in and the Taylor was noticeably better sounding. I have 8 Harley Benton guitars and love them, but I don't want to buy another one if it is only going to be comparable to what I already have. Ever since I heard that Taylor I've wanted to upgrade my acoustic selections. What do you think?
go for it!! If you like what you hear.....HBs are good for its price range...But sooner or later , you will crave for something more. But the thing is sometimes, you dont have to pay thru your nose to have a guitar you really like.✌♥

Very nice touch and technique my freind , I own a custom king cv vs (another mouthful lol ) a J200 knock off in other words , I'm very pleased with a lot of guitar for the price ,as they say a lot of bang for your buck with HB's....
Have you played the CLD-30SCM model of HB all solid wood dreadnought, and if so, how would you compare it? From what I have seen and read, I like this 41SE, but I am also drawn to the CLD-30SCM with all solid wood construction. The woods are different and the tones I am sure differ as a result of it and the fact that one is solid all the way around, but I was wondering what your opinion is, if you have one. Thanks.

I think you can use this model as a left-handed. You just have to change the nut (maybe) and the order of the strings.

Hi.. guitars are very subjective to individual wants and preferences. I truly think you can go wrong with a Martin. But you will have to make the selection yourself and see how it feels✌️❤️

So recently I've purged my inventory of a lot of different guitars including my only acoustic guitar, a 2004 USA made Adamas 1597. That guitar had a beautiful neck and sounded great plugged in. But I could never get comfortable with the round back and it just didn't have a lot of projection acoustically.
So I'm really not into buying expensive guitars right now and most recently I purchased the fusion 3 silver Sparkle based on your review. Almost right away I knew that would not be my last Harley Benton.
So tonight I found myself looking at acoustic guitars online until I found a another review of the same guitar on another Channel. I was blown away by how beautiful they were and how wonderful they sounded. The 12-string was also reviewed.
But despite how good the review seemed to be, I just had to know what Jonathan thought. So thank you for this review, you've helped me make my decision. Now I'm off to the Thamann website yet again. But I think I'm going to grab the 12-string too. I mean the price is so good, why not?

I believe the top was wood sandwiched in carbon fiber. The color was wine red but could look black depending on the light and angle of view. I grew up watching Roy Clark and Glenn Campbell play them. My model was te 1547 I believe, same one Melissa Ethridge plays. Got it on ebay for $750.00 in 2005. It was made in the US in 2004. I let it go pretty cheap selling it to a guitar center in Virginia beach.

Most of the Fishman pickup systems that I've tried just have the sheen around the sound..Kinda hard to explain. Just not acoustic sounding to my ears🤓
I own this exact guitar and this is the best acoustic guitar you can get under 500$ period..I would even say 700-800$..
There, you start to get solid back and sides guitars..Like the Alvarez Masterworks, Epiphones Masterbuilds and Corts Gold.

It’s beautiful. I hope it sells well enough for Thomann to produce them left-handed. I’ve got three HB guitars now and with some mods and fret treatment, they are probably the best value for money guitars you can buy. My most recent was their T-52. The pickups are surprisingly very good, all I did was put in some brass saddles, filed and polished the frets and put copper shielding throughout the cavities. Thomann claim they are going to expand their left-handed range of guitars, I can’t wait. Thank you Jonathan for demoing this great guitar, you did it justice.

That's a beautiful guitar for $300! I wonder how it compares to the Orangewood Echo Live, which I bought last year. For the money, it was amazing! It seems these Indonesian and even Chinese guitars have raised the bar on quality. I already have too many acoustic guitars, but the video makes me want that one!

Hi, J. Interesting. Looks great but hard to tell how it sounds in the flesh on 'the toob'. I acquired an HB GS-Travel Mahogany a few months ago. It really is a sweet sounding and playing little guitar for the price. As you say, they improve with age.... PS - Love the mutts. Just can't keep them out of the action :).

Hi Jonathan, many thanks for putting together such a nice review of this guitar...really enjoy your music and playing style. I've just subscribed to your channel as a result of this review. I think this guitar sounds great and am looking into getting one myself. As I have been researching this particular guitar, I noticed that the previous version of this model had no electronics but had the sitka spruce top with Indian rosewood back and sides. I'm guessing that all changed because of CITES. Just wondering if the previous version of this instrument with the rosewood would have sounded closer to your Martin (haven't been able to find much info in this regard). There seems to be a bit of debate about using walnut with the back and sides for an acoustic, but it seems that most of the negative chatter seems to come from fans of Martin. I currently own a Cordoba GK Studio Negra that does have a stika spruce top and Indian back and sides and it has wonderful tone (but, it's not steel string guitar). I guess that I'll have to wait and see for myself how the HB fairs in person...but from what I've heard from your video, I don't think that I'll be disappointed. Thanks again!

Jonathan have you had a chance to compare this to the Taylor 612CE or 614CE. A friend of mine bought a Taylor used and came over with it. We plugged it into my Fishman Loudbox Mini, and then I plugged my Washburn nice but inexpensive guitar in and the Taylor was noticeably better sounding. I have 8 Harley Benton guitars and love them, but I don't want to buy another one if it is only going to be comparable to what I already have. Ever since I heard that Taylor I've wanted to upgrade my acoustic selections. What do you think?
go for it!! If you like what you hear.....HBs are good for its price range...But sooner or later , you will crave for something more. But the thing is sometimes, you dont have to pay thru your nose to have a guitar you really like.✌♥

Have you played the CLD-30SCM model of HB all solid wood dreadnought, and if so, how would you compare it? From what I have seen and read, I like this 41SE, but I am also drawn to the CLD-30SCM with all solid wood construction. The woods are different and the tones I am sure differ as a result of it and the fact that one is solid all the way around, but I was wondering what your opinion is, if you have one. Thanks.
