Thank you for the video. I enjoyed watching and hearing that Detroit engine. It sounded extra good and the dozer was very strong. It was pushing a lot of dirt, at one time, with no choking down. Highly skilled operator, also.
All I remember is constantly repairing them, we put new rails on one and fixed that problem but it had so much power it would snap the pins on the rails.
Its a mighty dozer real clean diesel engine not a puff of smoke from the GM engine , not like a Komatsu 155a engine they are always smoky , what size is the Terex is she as big as the D8k as im not familar with Terex , anyway great video of pushing down the quarry and a great driver operator for sure, thank you.
Also that T-Rex has a Vietnam jungle cab on it it has a 50 gallon water supply inside of the roof it has machine gun mounts on the top of it and it has two or 2 1/2 inch plexiglass and all the windows and doors if it's original
As a V 12 Jimmy unit two blowers two turbos hell of a powerhouse noisy as hell the fan is behind the seat the radiator jack shaft runs under the seat the fan blows warm air around you is the biggest flaw that machine
AMERICAN MUSCLE , luv the sound of a screamin Detroit v12 and that smell of oil and diesel mixed in the exhaust. Its a joyous ORGASM ANT GREAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT !!!!!
I really wish you wouldn't know knock komatsu there are plenty of them in mines and farms in Australia and they are good dozens. Like most they are only as good as the parts the owner puts in them. If it's done on the cheap breakdowns are a regular occurrence. I do know there was one model.that had backed issues because two bearings were two small.
12V 71T or 92T as far as I know in the 82-50. The 82-40 has the 8v 71N and later upgrades have the 8V 71T, giving 30 more HP, pushing it from 290 to 320 h.p.
@@wildcoastadventures7535 Thanks for your response. Yes by though the sound of it it's a 12V71T and pretty big machine. The turbo versions sure quiten them down. RUclips are a bit slack in the notifications. I only just found this.
The one I ran in Amarillo, the air conditioner would freeze you out. What a great machine. Outlasted most of the cats we ran.
33 years at Detroit Diesel, love the sound of 2-cycle power!
Please, it's called 2-stroke ( only one cycle )
@@deere7227 Yep, two-cycles is four strokes.
That ole gal still has it. She will move some yards!! Ole boy knows how operate too!!
Beast of a machine !
Not even a puff of black smoke-she is running sweet.

The old two stroke diesel music to the ears!!
I love the sound of the old Euclid Terex dozers. Wish they still made them. They look impressive too.
I love those old 2-stroke diesels!!
Dude is a really good operator.
these dozers had a lot of good points
Thanks a million! I've been waiting for a good 82-50 video for years.
Your welcome! More to come!
@@TheFarmer256 could you do a walk around?
This absolutely my all time favorite dozer.its competition was the Cat D9G.

Those 12V71’s are like bagpipes, awesome sound… but best appreciated from a distance.
A blast from the pas__ old operator.
50 tons and 370 horsepower!
Screaming jimmy living up to its name. Screaming.
All I remember is constantly repairing them, we put new rails on one and fixed that problem but it had so much power it would snap the pins on the rails.
That tractor takes a big bite.
Just look at all the filthy smoke that the Detroit is not putting out!
Somebody knows how to work on and maintain that Detroit, it stays in the fight without falling on its face!!!
Ain’t that the truth!
She has NO issues spinning those tracks! She’s a beast for sure
The old girl runs sweet.
Thanks more videos to come of it and other dozers
The Transmission is so smooth. Allison and Detroit is the best pair.

I ran a 82-50 for 4 years
My guess is it's a 12V71T, thanks for the video.
Need more of this 👍
when you consider that is a 30 year old machine its not doing bad
How about 40 years at about earliesr
Six minutes of listening _ lifetime of tinnitus
Ran one in Amarillo. Nice, powerful machine. The ac would freeze you out of the cab. Good ol' G.M.
Putting that old girl to work.... I bet she's happy!!
Cool machines 👍🚧
Detroit diesel humming along
Also that T-Rex has a Vietnam jungle cab on it it has a 50 gallon water supply inside of the roof it has machine gun mounts on the top of it and it has two or 2 1/2 inch plexiglass and all the windows and doors if it's original

Its not bad when it 10degrees out lol

GREAt old dozer in its time. SHItty dealer network. Better dealer factory support and a Cummins eng they would have had something.
Yep, most efficient way to turn fuel to noise without the side effects of horse power and torque.
I listened to V12 Eucs and payhaulers for a few years and there isnt one good thing about it.

Them were the day's old detroit singing 😃😃😃
