@@Cableguys That´s the question..... Liked the analog style modulation with the 4-peak phaser filter, especially when turning the lfo to hertz and cranking the speed. Really digged the bell like sound it created.
@@Cableguys Would it be possible to allow the Envelope Follower to modulate other target, like LFO speed? Maybe provide an extra generic, unattached Envelope Follower for each module that can be freely assigned?
Yay, awesome tutorial. Some good meat to chew on. Is it planned for the entire Shaperbox to go on a deeper sale for Black Friday? Interested in purchasing that if so.
ShaperBox 2 Bundle is indeed on sale too for Black Friday 😉👍 It's now €79 / $89, saving 60% compared to buying all 6 Shapers at full price. www.cableguys.com/shaperbox.html
Do you mainly make remixes? Do you enjoy sampling but struggle when it comes to transforming them and are afraid of copyright strike? Are you a composer that does everything themselves - from the ground up - and sometimes, like all of us human beings, you simply run out of inspiration? Or maybe you just had this melody in your head, a genius idea that makes you want to open the DAW every time you sing it to yourself, and yet after you got it down perfectly in your DAW, your creative mind freezes unable to find anything that would fit the arrangement, add variations and develop it? If any of those apply to you then let me tell you something, a tip - You simply get this plug-in and soon you realize that the only frustrating thing in all of these problems is that you actually have to manually drag&drop ShaperBox to add it to the chain... If, however, none of the abovementioned questions applies to you then... Well, you know, I'm not entirely sure about your plan of utilizing ShaperBox in this new painting of yours... But, hey! Nothing stands in your way, always worth giving it a shot on the canvas too! There isn't much this plug-in can't do! :)
Do you mean automate, as in host automation? The Cutoff parameter is the average of the points in the LFO curve, so whenever you edit the LFO curve, you are also changing the Cutoff value (try drawing some points in the LFO and you'll see the value changing). So for example, if you'd have automation armed while editing the LFO curve, you'd inadvertently overwrite your Cutoff automation with semi-random values. Also, some DAWs (eg, Ableton Live) would interpret any change in Cutoff value as the user adjusting the control manually, and automation playback would be disabled. In short, allowing automation of Cutoff and Resonance as regular VST/AU parameters could unleash chaos. A workaround is to use the Envelope's Shift slider (which is an automatable parameter) to offset the LFO. This works even with the Envelope's Amount at 0%.
@@Cableguys Ok totally makes sense and that's actually what I ended up doing with the ableton LFO tool. It would be interesting to be able to modulate the entire cutoff at some point. Like moving the entire set of values up and down as one unit while keeping the LFO shape in tact. Might be a nightmare from a coding standpoint though not sure lol. Great plugin though I use it all the time!
Thanks so much! I don't think I have a single production that doesn't have shaperbox on it, your product is incredible! Much love.
incredible demo - so much inspiration here just for this one device

Hey, glad you're getting so much from our plugins and the video 😃
As an owner of Filter Freak this highly more versatile and can achieve a modern results much more quickly.
I love this plugin, you can get so creative
What do you think about adding a new pitchshaper? It would be really cool
I love using shaperbox 2. Especially the reactive mode. It has created some super unique sounds in my productions. Keep crushing it! And thank you :)
Hey Asher, thanks for your kind comment! Especially cool to hear you like the reactive Envelopes 😊👍
wow this was great !!! I have all of your modules :)
Really good examples!
Simply incredible, I knew nothing of the real potential of Shaperbox, thx for all of these tips and tutoriels on it !!
Glad we could help! More tutorials are on the way 👍
Very informative! Well done!
Glad you liked it! Which of the tips are you gonna try first? 🤔

@@adl0815 Yes! Audio-rate modulation is a secret ShaperBox weapon 😉 Pro tip: try combining it with the Envelope Follower so it reacts to the audio.

Really nice overview, thanks!
You just sold me on this....
Great tutorial; makes me think of getting the plugin :-)
Wow this was so helpful..... I have been so scared to use it.... but now I will as it made sense to me ....
Thanks 😊
Everytime I open this plugin, I think its absolutely insane and I think I have everything discovered... but I'm always taught that I'm wrong...
Even we are still discovering cool new production tricks with ShaperBox 😉
Similar to the concept of compression 😂

good tutorial! very handy! what is the sequence starting from 7:09? sounds gorgeous!
Hey, thanks! That's a Loopmasters melody loop, with a synth pad added underneath 🎶

At 6:00 sounds like the Cure's A Forest

Damn😵🥺
is it a synthesizer to create a sound or a vst plugin as an effect add-on ?
It's an effects plugin. You can use it to transform other sounds like synths, loops, drums, vocals - anything!
Been using this awesome plugin for a while! How can I modulate the cut off?

@@Brandonbraun You can do exactly that by automating the Envelope's Shift slider, as mentioned above 😉👍
@@Cableguys Ok great it sounded like that's what it was doing but I couldn't visualize it in my head lol. Thank you!
why doesn't my shaper box have these same option to automate speed
It does. Please contact our support at contact@cableguys.com and let us know which DAW you're using and we'll help you to set it up!
Sir. This plugins is stay free ? Or only 30 days try ? Pls answer ❤️
FilterShaper Core 2 costs €39 / $44, but you can use the demo (and the other ShaperBox Shapers) with no time restriction.

"Be warned: speed up your LFO too much and you'll enter audio rate territory"
You say it like it's a bad thing.
😉👍
It’s good but Ableton has all these controls ...still worth it for people who don’t want to deal with automation parameters in Ableton
