Dan Worral for audio engineers is what Bob Ross is for painters. You just watch him how with few strokes creates this universe of sound.
this comment on every Dan video….
Yep I love to watch Dan call his viewers nazis for daring to have an opinion. I wonder how his Mastodon account is doing. Maybe it has 50 followers now?
yeah but i still have zero idea wtf i am doing.
I love their voice.
@@E_-_- 😊
I love it when a promotional video is made to be more like an educational material. That's how it's done. 👍
Damn... The 3 months between the release of Twin 3 and this video were some of the longest in my life... I thought this day would never come. I was legitimately worried that Dan and FabFabilter were parting ways :-) Alright - I can finally get back to normal life now!
I heard Dan's "Hi" and auto-clicked the like button, 'cause I know its gonna be 27 mins of pure sound design black magic brilliantly explained before hearing anything else.
I wish one day Fabfilter makes their own DAW perfectly intergrated with their plugins.
would be craaaazy
bro i'd jizz
I don't want to leave Renoise :D
Best tutorial on subtractive synthesis ever. Dan Worrall is the best. Period.
Nuf Said
... and it was the largest crowd ever that viewed this video. Period.
He is.
zero question about that, Dan is the fkn GOAT
The importance of a quality voice over speaks for itself in this great tutorial. It’s often why I stop watching tutorials. Not in this case.Great demo
The GUI design of Fabfilter plugins is just on a whole different level. Beautiful to look at, clean and informative. A true work of art.
Fabfilter has the best UI developers in all of software development. Hope you're winning lots of awards
I've been studying Fab-filter plugins for a while now. After watching a couple of tutorials, I realized that Fab-filter Full Bundle is beyond competition.
It has everything from a synthesizer to a stereo expander.
Thanks to the development team, these are the best plugins!
Not interested in synths, but my thumbs up goes to the Audio GOAT: Dan Worrall!
Same. I will probably never buy this synth, but I'm down for 30 mins of Dan Warrall.
That ending though.... Wow!!! I will be buying this today! If Dan Worrall ever offers an online class, I'm signing up.
Dan the best tutorialist with TDS!
Introduction to Twin 3... ha, What an understatement! One of the best sound design vids I've ever seen!
Twin 3 is about to be the wave. The power and sheer quality of this synth is insane. the depth and clarity he got from this plugin was mind blowing
How awesome is this integrated music theory lesson! Great inspiration for composers, I think.
This guy makes me want to buy every product his voice is attached to. Good god man, stop it, I'm gonna go broke. I could listen to these videos all day long. Brilliant that an educational video inspires me! WELL DONE!
No better teacher / presenter / salesperson than DOCTOR Worrall. Oops! Correction: Not salesperson. Dan is just the master at tenderly fondling plugins into revealing their best selves and selling themselves.
music production is just a hobby for me, and it doesnt even rank that high in my list of hobbys, but a new dan w. video is always something that gets me super excited, thanks for the great content!
FabFilter x Dan Worrall
Damn! I love this "Introduction" video. What an excellent sound design demo putting the synth through its paces! Hats off to the team and Dan (the man) Worrall.
If Fabfilter ever makes another software instrument it would have to be a sampler with some of the most insane manipulating and editing capabilities ever known.
I've been eagerly awaiting this video since Twin 3 was announced. How cool! Dan always makes the best tutorials.
Keys to a successful plug-in. 1) Give people what they want 2) Get Dan Worrall to endorse it! I'm 18 seconds in and I already know I'm getting this!
Yesterday I realized Fabfilter has yet to announce Pro-R 2, and seeing all of the new features in Volcano, Saturn, and now Twin, it's gonna be absolutely brutal and I believe it'll be one of the best reverb plugins ever made. Thanks , Fabfilter and of course the one and only Dan Worral.
What ? Where do they announce ? Why don't they announce on their youtube channel
i wonder what pro q 4 will be like.... should be a kirchhoff killer
Very cool synth
pro R due a big update. Would be nice to have different selectable reverb styles as you're sort of just stuck with one reverb sound and then EQ. Hoping they knock the ball out when they do release the R 2.

Hey Dan and FabFilter, what a great pleasure from start to finish. Thank you!
So long after the release of the new version of FabFilter Twin 3, you were able to make an introductory video! Thank you for your business!
Love the different tuning capabilities, very cool
Missed you Dan!! So happy to see another great tutorial! Thank you and Fabfilter very much.
You deserve all the money. What a lovely sound, graphics and interface you always do have....
Yes! Very glad this dropped. All hails to Dan! I love this synth and all the new presets, yet looking online it seemed reviews were lukewarm at best and everyone kind of stuck in their old mindsets. It is so much fun to use!!!!
The UI is gorgeous. Sounds amazing. Purchasing for sure!
Just thought it would be a well sorted kinda walkthrough video ... but when the first beat has been added to the first sounds ... it was like the hearing the sunrise. What an entertaining and beautifully crafted way to convince me to buy this synth.
Masterful, as ever. Thanks Dan
I love the whole new implementations they made in all their new plugins. How careful they pick out what really enhances sound and workflow. Awesome!
This is a subtractive synthesis masterclass by the best in the business! If this video doesn't excite you, then you shouldn't be designing sounds. Thank you Dan and FabFilter!
We miss you Dan! Great video as usual!
I think the best thing about this synth's interface is that it only shows up what you added as a parameter. It's not a big mess right out of the box, but it can be one if you want to. Super intelligent and unique workflow.
Brilliant video, as always
dan never disappoints
Dang, I only came to watch this demo. 21 minutes into the video, and I've already purchased Twin 3. Dan got me again! :)
Just found this. Wow. What an incredible tutorial! Thank you.
I love fabfilter plug-ins
i do too, but this is synth is terrible
@@JohnSmith-pn2vl ok john smith mate
In the very first 5 minute Dan got that synth into heaven @@
Your UI is exceptional !
Hey Dan
Thanks for reviewing. Really inspiring. Got this Plugin now and gotta check all these options out.
The best plugs with the best UX / UI ever.
Fantastic video. ❤
Literally here for Dan, not even getting fab, he’s a true teacher. And has that amazing voicr
Dan Worrall University would earn global accreditation upon launch.
Great bass sound!!!
This bad boy looks awesome ! Fabfilter never fails. :)
I love this guy so much. Truly the bob ross of sound design.
Ah. That’s how it works! Thanks for this Dan!
I love this. And Dan.
First when I found this video I figured that filter has added wave tables, granular, additive and other types of oscillators and then a big stack of effects to 'show' big. But I really find their way of development very intuitive. I especially liked the side chain possibility on each filter. It already gave me a handful of ideas!
New toys? Let's gooooo
Love that reverb. Three controls is perfect for it
This video kind of makes me happy.
Some solid synthesis, what I like about sound design is that the language is universal and you kinda just pick things up going along
I got so many software instruments, but then Dan Worrall comes along with a couple of tricks & explanations, and I want to buy the damn thing!
thanks for not making a vst that is emulation of vintage synth x but concentrating on the core fundamentals and really make them shine
Some of us can't afford £30,000 for a Roland Jupiter 8 (I sold mine for £600 in 1986! 😭) and most people under 30 years have probably never been near a classic let alone know what it is. Bottom line is... what does it sound like, what's it like to use, how much does it cost. 😎
The most and best Sci-Fi looking functional GUI in my life
Jesus, what a demo! (salute)
now, after the twin-3 has been unofficially released a few months ago, its is now officially released :)
Brilliant tutorial - I have Twin 3 on iPad and this makes me want to get the vst as well….
guys you have amazing designers
I was on the fence to be honest with Twin3 because it didn't have a lot of the bells and whistles you come to expect from a modern wavetable synth, but Dan really hit home when he talked about the benefits of working with regular subtractive synthesis. This, plus the gorgeous UI that is very information-rich while not being intimidating, and the very intuitive modulation systems, explain why I have been really inspired when using Twin 3 recently. It is just fun and inspiring to work with it, and it always sounds great. As Dan puts it, this is arguably the best subtractive synth on the market with none of the limitations that are usually associated with subtractive synths. I hate to say this but Diva feels limiting and uninspiring to me compared to this. Hat off to FabFilter on this one.
If FabFilter reads this, my only items on my wishlist are better random value in XLFO 1. so you can assign a probability to when a step will trigger and 2. quantize those random values to common musical steps (see u-He for that), 3. the ability to cycle through envelope generators for more precise LFOs, 4. ability to easily duplicate modulation source. It would be great to have these across all the creative plugins. Finally, I would love FabFilter presets for each effect and, possibly even more FabFilter synth presets in general :)
It would be so sick if FabFilter made a synth that could replace Serum.
@@jackass5592 I'm not sure it would. They may have made something much better and needed. They made a synth that could easily become the staple of your music production process. Have you ever had a situation where you are in the heat of making a song/arrangement and suddenly you need a simple sound. Like, just a filtered supersaw or a plucky pure sine wave or a long square + pulsewave lush pad? And then you start browsing presets in Serum or Pigments or Vital and all of them are just too...extra? And then you can't find the exact sound you're looking for and decide to just quickly tweak the second-best option among the presets you cycled through and then 10 minutes later you're done, but you lost your flow.
For me it's a problem all too common. And Fabfilter went ahead and purposefully made a "boring" synth. Because there is enough wavetable, additive, granular as it is.
They made what they've always done. A tool that will slowly but surely become a backbone of your creative process, without overwhelming you.
A separate shoutout to the sound designers behind the latest version's presets. They are amazing!
Beautiful 😍😍😍
i absolutely love that FF always uses the same things across all of their plugins
great demo, learnt many new techniques, saving for later..... double-decker likes
I waited months for this O_o
I wasn't sure if I was going to watch this but as soon as I heard the dulcet tones of DW, I thought it would probably be worth it. Anyway, it sounds absolutely luscious.
I can't wait until the next Reverb from yall.
I love it already 🥳
This plugin is really dope
uuhh 🔥🔥🔥 luv it!
this is awesome...
Wow… just… WOW!
Dan I love you
I don't need it, but Dan makes me want to have it. :O
very good synth, just discovered it
"Sod it, let's try 64!" 🔥🔥🔥
6:50 gave me chills.
Unbelievable 😍
If it's not "Dan tutorialed" it's not released :) 🙃 And this video was by far one of the best. I also thought it's just another subtractive synth... after wathcing the video I really consider buying it and making it my go-to... 17:05 was too convincing.
By using sound as input, we can create a user-friendly AI that generates random functions without the need for manual knob adjustments. By analyzing the sound and connecting it to function parameters, we can train a machine learning model to produce corresponding outputs. This saves time and opens up a world of limitless creativity beyond the traditional process of tweaking knobs and values.
I’m convinced.
Got it last night. I already owned Pigments 4 from Arturia. But there is no synth matching this incredible simplicity. It's a breeze to manipulate all the parameters and you can see at a glance what everything does. Another plus compared to Pigments, it has a proper fullscreen mode. Love the UI so much. So clean and useful all at the same time.
Fantastic
DAMNNNNNNN I HEAR DAN WORRAL?????THATS A W!!!!!
Honest review thy.
Wow he made it all seem so easy 😳
*sigh* I wasn't going to buy this, but Dan is a good seller. He could probably sell me a rock from my own garden.
Yep. Bought it.
Dan Worrall presets? aaaaaaaw yeah!!
yesssssss finally
really laggy visuals, dan. tell fabfilter to give you more money this time, so you can buy a new computer for the next video they want from you ;)
😂😂
@@ranajoyshil i had a bad computer a few months ago as well. when you are already at the point where a well implemented plugin starts to lag like crazy you just need a new computer and not a few micro-optimizations. but apart from that you're absolutely right. optimizing a computer for music production purposes can help. i would be surprised if dan didn't try that yet though
Wouldn't graphic lag be a video card issue? Might not have a good one for this setup and only cares about audio/drop out response?
@@cjmllvv It depends. It is not uncommon to render simple 2D graphics using the CPU.
The fact that this has Pro-Q 3 built into it as the filter is what sold me. I've been waiting ages for a synth that had a proper EQ that can be modulated built in. Now you don't have to switch between plugin windows to create vowel filters and the filters can use the same mod sources that are already modulating other parameters in the synth. EQ modulation for vowel filters was obviously possible before, but this makes it WAY more efficient, and in creative sessions, efficiency is absolutely critical. And in other synths you can technically do EQ modulation in the synth, but the EQ interfaces are usually trash, like in Serum, which is a great synth overall, but the EQ is limited and has an extremely dated UI. This will make it fast and easy to do certain types of sounds that were technically possible already, but less likely to actually get made because of the tedium and difficulty.
Pls add the option to adjust the specific phase start point. Much needed for bass mixing. (And also to disable or enable the analog drift)
