Out now! Here is "THE LEGEND HZ" by Synapse Audio Software.com
A collaboration between Hans Zimmer, Kevin Schroeder and Synapse Audio.
The Legend HZ even contains a fixed filter bank that was modeled after Hans Zimmer's personal Vintage 914 Fixed Filter Bank, an exceptional and rare piece of hardware.
Moreover, 200 factory presets developed jointly by expert sound designer Kevin Schroeder and Hans Zimmer have been added. The factory soundbank gives anyone access to a wide range of cinematic-style sounds, while The Legend HZ itself provides access to some of the very tools used by them.
Camera pans around the room revealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of modular.
Hans: "..so anyway here's this vst plugin..."
My thought too..............HS look at all that equipment!
😆😂🤣👋
All that external junk is really worthless. We don't need to manufacture all these electronics that can't really be recycled so lets just focus on the computer and a few external controllers. The rest is SHOW.
@@InLightTone lmao no, but that's ok if you can't tell the difference
@@InLightTone You reminds me people from movie Idiocracy...
He seems like a chill, creative guy, should become a film composer or something
Too much technology, softwares and computers. Boring. I stopped composing because of that. No pleasure to make music with plug-ins etc...
Yeah if he works hard he might win an Oscar or two
@@ReviewInternet-ny3iw that sounds Not nice, maybe you need to Play a piano or something Else:)
If you were worth $90M+ from making music I'd think you'd be a real chill guy too! 😂
Lol he's already a very famous film composer
the batman chair is the true secret
It's just appropriate for that lair... studio, I meant studio!
Oh my gosh we might have found out the true identity of HZ.
HansCave exclusive 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻😎
🤣👍
Batman chair in Batman cave.
the most insane thing with hans, is his ability to use sounds. to make an giant picture, and elvevate an movie to new heigths.. we are all lucky this man, does movie sound.. what a sound legend
I was getting goosebumps just watching this vid lol
When I see that studio, it’s the same feeling as when I went to Toys “R” Us as a kid 🤩
Ken Funny
i felr¡t the same bro!!!! ) =) or as a Candy shop !
Nevr fails to amaze me how productive people like hans are with such compex setups. to not get lost in what that gear is capable of is mind blowing
Yes, mr. Zimmer, I enjoyed it. What an amazing studio.
... and what an amazing Artist
Hans Zimmer,Klaus Schulze,Jean-Michel Jarre,Vangelis,Tangerine Dream,Mike Oldfield,Kraftwerk...Electronic Music Legends !
Yello :)
Kraftwerk? bah...neee
Dont forget kebu :-)
Ooo Vangelis and Tangerine Dream so good...makes me think of john carpenter
How about Aphex Twin?
unfassbar... was ein Zimmer Herr Zimmer! Danke für diese Einblicke.
I loved "and, of course, we can't forget the Berlin School". Made me smile.
He also gave tribute to a "Vangelis type world". Such a great composer that I smiled 😄. I watched this vid after listening to some remastered Vangelis. Small world!
Most people that I’ve known that I have thousands of dollars of modular synths end up making music that sounds like the jingles used by an ice cream truck. Nice to see someone making amazing sounding music.
Das ist Hans Zimmer
Well this is Hans Zimmer .. this guy is in large part why every motion picture he scores are so epic. Best composer for hollywood ever
@@casproductions1978 he may be an amazing composer but he over paid for his audio setup. I put A/V equipment on Oprah Winfrey, Michal Dell and George Lucas's private jets. Oprah has a Global 500, Michal Dell has several Global 500's and George Lucas uses a Boeing 727. I was also the guy that got Rockwell Collins to push through the FAA to let people use Cellphones on airplanes--the FAA allowed it because billionaires wanted to use their cell phones to control the TV in their 70 million dollar private jets. Not even kidding.
The point is you don't need a 100k to make synth music this good--you need like 700 usd.
@@TurboLoveTrain wow, amen
@@TurboLoveTrain "he over paid for his audio setup" is such a dumb statement. You really don't need any money at all to make good music by using free synths. But the point is that you don't (or do you?) really know the reasoning for all those equipment and how much he even spent his own money on them. Maybe its just his hobby and he wants physically tweak all the knobs and stuff. Or maybe some specific movie project(s) needed some sounds and the fastest way to accomplish it was to get those.
Love Synapse Audio and a huge fan. The Legend has become even more legendary.. immediate purchase!
This sounds amazing . Great work as always Synapse Audio , KS & HZ ( True legends ) 💥❤👍
"How many Moog modules do you need, Hans?"
"Yes"
N+1
Having seen a lot of Hans’ movies, this is very exciting stuff. Absolute genius of a man with so many theatrical contributions.
When I was a kid Lion King was one of my favorites with the thrilling music the movie has, and oh boy Hans Zimmer was the hero of that OST. And that was just part of the beginning of his epic scoring career.
Deserves every success he has.
Thx for this great sounds, Kevin! Greatings from Munich, Germany, Steffen
Little did we know, Hans isn’t in a sound lab, he’s in an actual space ship.
incredible collaboration! The synth just sounds perfect! Top job, friends
“I shall never leave the Berlin school behind”
what's he referring to with that?
@@afaydilek The Berlin School.
@@afaydilek Berlin School is the type of music that gave birth to all that. Thanks to Tangerine Dream & Klaus Schulze in the 70s.
Holy moly! What a cool surprise! This is awesome!
This sounds freaking awesome
That opening sequence of classic modular synths, made my toes curl, and blood rush to my extremities 🔥
So by the end song that sounds like the new TRON Ares soundtrack....I'm sold!!
Would love to listen to that room, probably one of the best sound rooms in the country
world
I mean, acoustics-wise, it's probably standard-fair. But definitely not top in the country level, and almost certainly not the world. Think about it! Those computer monitors on their own could compromise the sound. The best sounding rooms are likely mastering stations.
No doubt it has a great system but with all those flat surfaces there'd be tons of reflections that cause weird resonances. It's a writing room not a listening room.
best sounding rooms in the world are in new jersey (sterling)
@@enneff you are right but Zip said sound room and not acoustics :D. Hans Zimmer has all the Sounds
Sehr cool, Kevin! Gratuliere zum Release, klingt grossartig!
What an amazing sound
Synapse audio...I love those guys!! From 2003
Love those bass stomps...
The master himself! All the gear in the world cannot do anything without human creativity and Hans is certainly one of the best.
Wow, this sounds awesome!
Das ist für mich das wahre bernstein-zimmer,hans🙏👌🎹🎹🎵🎶❤️🤩
Already own the THE LEGEND since release
What a magnificent display of synths O.O lordy!
That opening sequence made my toes curl, and blood rush to my extremities 🔥
Nice job and music, thank you so much Hans
What a Beautiful Studio. Wow
You're watching a master at work, bravo!
🤩 bought the upgrade - thanks a lot - One of the best VST Synths on the Market !!! great Work - thanks a lot. 🙏
Now you will sound just like Hans Zimmer, like 99% of modern movie soundtrack. Lol, ok. :P
Thanks Hans and Synapse for making this happen. I looked at the Legen before and I thought hmm, I wish it had polyphony and a bit more things but well here we are. Much more than I could have dreamed of!
They're playing pads on it in the demo online. Probably 6 note polyphony.
pretty cool sounds
Amazing staff
I plan on buying it. Sounds amazing!
This thing sounds like a BEAST!
Nice setup Hans ! this plugin looks epic
Bought this yesterday after watching this and the preset runthrough. This is by far the most full, warm, and robust sounding software synth I have heard.
I get really good sounds out of many of the VSTs and even digital hardware synths that I own, but this thing... it's otherworldly.
I've been trying to get my hands on a Moog Voyager (Electric Blue!) for some time now but haven't had the budget (or the space) for one.
This will absolutely satisfy that itch for now, and then some.
BRAVO to all who hands on its creation.
That sounds amazing. Great intro pan.
Thank you most heartfeltly for showcasing Guthrie Govan- what a brilliant addition to your sound - he is absolutely jaw dropping to me - you are a beautiful artist thank you 🙏🌏✌️🎶😱🎼🎸💥⚡️⚡️👏👏👏👏👏
Sounds great. And interesting UIs with these synths.
This is amazing 😍
Wow, that sounds great, ❤
If we ever get a Mass Effect movie, Mr. Zimmer must compulsorily score it.
Wow this is so amazing
I’d be in paradise! I play synths but this is on a totally different level.
I mean there is no better way to promote....I am actually happy Synapse Audio seem to get the attention they deserve for their Legend VST...congrats....and ofc immidiate purchase after using the Legend VST for years
wow another vst synth, never seen one of those before 😮
Amazing Guys !
This is amazing!
So fantastic to see him at work.
this is crazy! i thought hes an UHE guy but now he collabs with the maker of DUNE3, one of my fav synths? so this gonna be on the level of dune3 plus zebraHZ and better? OMG
A very good get by Synapse Audio. Nice one!
What for a Sound Studio WOW
Love it, greet, greetings from Belgium, Flemish community. I love that Vangelis world. Amazing, well done. Keep on going. Yes I enjoyed it very ver much.
first time seeing the man itself after all these years,he would be a pretty extra mega giga super DJ
That opening sound is phat!
He might have spent his major part of life in mastering all of that. 😮
yes 🙌
I love that Hans was playing that note as the cam pans but its not revealed until we see him 🤤
jesus! the fisrt sound of the video is in the movie "2010 the year we make contact"!! HALL9000
just beautiful!
Interesting sounding keyboard. I'll have to look into the Legend HZ plugin!
Reminds me of the sounds I heard in my office between two studios for electronic music, in one studio with Jan Boerman, in the other Dic Raaijmakers. The technology was much simpler then, Jan Boerman cut the magnetic tape for his compositions.
Secret technique of advanced sound-masters: the more weird blinking devices and wires in the studio - the better and more authentic the sound!
Keep them running and they will remain in tune, ready for use. It may _look_ like a spaghetti farm, but it's a _system._ BTW, listening to his massive monitors on a 1" computer pair just makes the experience _so_ accurate, it's like I'm in the same room -
that I'm in right now... If you can, pipe it though the best speakers you have (even then it's bandwidth-limited...)
@@thesoundsmith I am a supporter of minimalism and functionality. If it's possible to replace the device with a VSTi - I will do so, and if it's not possible - I will find an alternative. In fact, it's just a matter of taste and necessity.
amazing ❤
It's great to see someone known for arrangement of more classically influenced scores to have the breadth of sound to extend into synth in this way. Of course it is no surprise that he is such a versatile musician.
He literally doesn't have 'classically influenced scores'. He always experiments with unusual soundscapes and made-up instruments. I think you may confuse him with John Williams
@@THAMNOS I mean yes the sounds incorporate lots of modern elements, his work with Guthrie Govan is my favorite- but I guess I refer to his live performances like Live in Prague, as the Hans Zimmer Orchestra. And yes other modern composers in the genre are more straightforward classical, like Harry Gregson Williams. Yeah I guess I was inebriated and imprecise- lots of music is classically influenced?

Great to see he has an Expressive E Touché.
I am wondering if he I using some more MPE controllers?
@@eDrumsInANutshellI think he is also using the Roli Seaboard
I have got to get me one of these.😃
That's a seriously impressive sounding VST.
You've really captured the character of a Moog.
I want one of those !!
Then you will sound just like Hans Zimmer, like 99% of modern movie soundtrack. Lol, ok. :P
Ehrlich gesagt - so viele Dünen.
Hans Zimmer the legend himself i might just have to buy this vst
Well done
Awesome
Looks good. Learning the piano and this looks great. What model is the keyboard? How do we interface this to a computer today, MIDI or now USB. What is that box sitting on the keyboard call\doing and how is this link into the whole solution?
Des heures de plaisirs !!!!
Absolute legend
I don't know what in the world is going on, but I love it a lot
That's the most intimidating room I've ever seen.
I didn't know Synapse Audio was still going. I used to use Orion about 20 years ago!
Wow Amazing ♥♥✨✨👍👍
We love you Hans!
thanks zim
Tomorrow im gonna purchase
Please release the RE soon! Looks awesome.
Hans Zimmer is a LEGEND
master of the world.
in master hands, rock solid!
We can’t say he didn’t tried every other synths existing before 🤗
Does anyone know what red fader box that is ? I assume a midi controller.
All this just to manipulate a couple-ah wave forms and I absolutely love it.
all this cuz youre lonely
Hans Zimmer, "Does it come in Black?" 🦇
