It's August and a heatwave here in France, and I am sitting here thinking I should do my roast potatoes for Christmas tomorrow having watched this. Love my Cosori. Thanks so much for this, they look delicious.

Please do a video of the next stage of reheating from frozen. Every RUclips video I’ve seen seems to omit that stage. Some of us are idiots when it comes to cooking, maybe it’s just me though. 😂
I am so glad to see you reusing loaf bread bags I use them as well I live on my own and when I buy a loaf of bread I split it in half and put the other half in a used bag then I twist it and fold it the open end over the bread and pop it into the freezer keeps me from running out of bread. David.
They're such useful food bags David aren't they, been doing this for years. I've started using other food grade plastics to reuse, plastic rice is kept in, cereal bags - they need a rinse to remove cereal dust. Freezing some of your bread is a great idea👍
Didn't have any potatoes but my husband wants me to make your roasted potatoes. I made Salisbury steak and mushroom beef gravy in the Dual Blaze tonight. Forgot to take a picture. Thanks for showing how you freeze the cooked potatoes. I have watched 4 Jamie Oliver roasted potatoes videos and haven't witnessed him freezing them. So, again, thank you. Thanks for the Friday live. I feel like a old/new friend. Taking care friend. Donna from Delaware
Hi Donna, would you mind posting your recipe for Salisbury Steak. I had it a few years ago. It would be nice to get a tried and tested recipe. Thank you😀
Hi Kerry, to make the potatoes even more crispy, after salting them I sprinkle over some polenta (or semolina if you cannot find Polenta), or alternatively give them a dusting of flour (through a seive). I also often freeze my roasties at the par boil stage by placing the potatoes spaced out on a tray and 'open freezing' them for an hour, then bagging them, that way they don't stick together so you can take a few out at a time and cook them directly in the fat from frozen. I also use this method for my roast parsnips and carrots. However, after watching your video I will now try your method of fully cooking them and freezing them, thank you!
Thanks Loretta, that's a great tip - will keep an eye out for semolina or polenta) I like your method, I've found that the roasted pots do not stick together when I pop into bag and stick in the freezer👍👍
Ohh they looked so good. When my son was younger he would always ask me to make little roasties. I’d cut the potatoes into small cubes. No need to par boil and cook them the same way only they cook really fast. I’d sometimes,in a bowl toss them in oil and Italian seasoning and then roast them. Because they cook so quickly they’re a great side dish with all sorts of meals. I haven’t thought to try them in the air fryer and watching your video has just reminded me. I’m on my own and my son is now 34 (lives with his girlfriend) so I haven’t made roast potatoes in ages. Think I might as yours were making my mouth water 😋😋😋🥰❤️❤️❤️
I really liked your mini roasties with Italian seasoning, will have to try that. You could make a big batch and freeze in portions, they reheat so well, ending up better than the 1st go. I will def make a vlog on the frozen ones as soon as I can get hold of some goose fat (so its chrimble related) and cook them from frozen 😀👍
They look so tasty Kerry, when you freeze them do you defrost them before cooking or do you cook them from frozen and do you need to put them back into the fat when cooking them or just air fry dry, another great video
Hi kerry I've seen post about lemonade bread so I've just looked it up it has 2 ingredients and can be made in an airfryer it costs about 21 pence a loaf just a cheap idea you might like to try out
Well they both look delicious but for me it has to be cosori, there’s nothing like the crunch you get from that bottom element. Great idea to freeze in advance, free’s up a bit time and space when you have a few more for Christmas dinner. Ps I sprinkle semolina powder
Love watching you. I have arthritis in my thumbs so your salt mill looks like it would be a god sent for me. Could you let me know where I could buy them.
Thank you Kath😀💕I got them via amazon, when I bought it, it cost £12.99! Sometimes different colours are a bit cheaper (or more expensive!) But they really are great, so glad I have them now👍 www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00HSF4BNM/ref=nosim?tag=budgetcooking-21
yes kerry i use marie piper also , always perboil first ,let them dry off in the steam for a few minutes , give them a good shake to fluff them up .. after this i lightly dust them with cornflour and put them in hot oil in the ninja 15in1 and bake them at 190 until golden brown and lovely and crispy
In my opinion 100% yes. The crisper plate has its place in AF cooking but for full flavour, ie rolling around in flavourful fat and seasoning in the bottom, it's gotta come out! 😀👍👍
Evening Kerry, i have to admit i wasn't overly keen on this vlog as i have only in the past few months started eating roasties but only cooked in beef dripping and if someone else has made them 😂😂. I will attempt to make these, i did "boil" tatties in the speedi yesterday, and they were perfect for mashing. Would have probably made good roasties 😅. I will make extra tatties on sunday and do this for Christmas (promise), lol. Friday live was brilliant btw, could we have more of them 😉 Xxxx Jac 💚 ❤
@budgetcookinguk you're welcome, Kerry. We didn't go out on Saturday. I had a phone call for a cancellation appointment at the hospital, so I was a bit overwhelmed at everything that happened. We will go out another time, but thank you for asking. The live really was great. it was good to be a part of it. Will be good to do a plot25 one. You know I will be there 😉 😂. Hope you are well. See you soon. Xxx Jac 💚♥️
Oh nice Hazel😋💕I've tried the oxo trick, very tasty. I've stopped buying oxo in lidl, the price just got too high and the lidl version doesn't crumble in the same way
Hi Kerry delishhhhh I use same potatoes as you also garlic salt or fresh garlic is good if your family like garlic? Please tell me when you get out of freezer do you reheat from frozen or let defrost which is best, and what temp would you use? Hugs from Shropshire ❤
I agree with you about using Maris Piper potatoes, but I sometimes use King Edward's if they look nice. It depends on what meat we are having regarding the fat. I generally use lard (together with any fat which has come from the meat) but sometimes use beef dripping or olive oil and chopped rosemary. The latter I particularly like on potato wedges. I'm interested to know if I am the ONLY person who sniffs potatoes as I am peeling them? If they smell too 'earthy', I have to discard them.
