Happy to see you Patty!! The prices are unreal , the houses are plain , basic don’t see any nice modern finishes . I’m in shocked 😳 to see how much they think the houses are worth .
Yes - and it’s common for owners to put a high price thinking if they get it they will sell. But a house that’s been on the market for 5 years isn’t worth the asking price from 5 years ago!
Keisha, El Valle has been the weekend or 2nd home for most wealthy Panamanians. Unlike in the US, most Panamanians don't have mortgages on their property, so they don't have a sense of urgency that most people in the US have. Plus, its hard to find a rental in El Valle, so one can easily rent nearly anything there.
Sure Patty next time we go to El Vallle I Will look for you. We usually stay at Cabañas at the end of the street ríght in front of the church. They Belong to a Zúñiga family.
All those house will require a lot of work, and it way over priced. Good luck with your quest to find your new home.

My wild guess is the house with the run off sewage. If you don't go for the house that took your offer try to look for a house not to close to town to see if you can find one cheaper, cause those prices are for real out of my budget.
Yes, the prices change significantly when you leave the valley.

What I understand about housing in El Valle us that beautiful juegos houses have been abandoned for a long time as the children of the wealthy owners have moved to the beach áreas fue their weekend leisure time. Si those old houses probably require lots of money for reparos.

I get the impression that all the houses there are poorly designed and maintained except perhaps very expensive ones. I’d be inclined to continue renting.
In my price range the houses are very basic. When you get to $500k they are much nicer ☺️

El valle is a touristic area, please understand why prices are higher. People who fall in love with el valle are usually ok to put the extra money for the location!
Yes, there’s a premium here for the specific location. Just outside the valley the prices are less.

Found you after watching the video after Panama Relocation Tour. Enjoyed watching a selection of videos on your channel next. I feel like child in the Emperor's New Clothes, but the volume on your videos is really low. If I'm the only one with the issue, then just ignore this comment. :-) If others are noticing this issue, then fixing it might help in growing the channel.

Great video, Patti! Excited for you finding your home in El Valle, I know it's been quite a journey. I'm fairly encouraged by some of these prices, since most of the prices I've seen listed by Realtors are well over 500k. Did you look at any homes just outside of EV, how do they compare price wise?
Houses just outside of the valley are significantly less. Take a look at Encuentra24. And word of mouth and through an owner directly are ways to get a better price. For someone with a budget of 500k, no problem for them to pay a premium, pay commissions. But for those who are looking for a little gem, off the main track is likely the best option. I'm overdue on posting :-/

Hello Paty Dear I saw you on the relocator to Panama so I am from US but of Panamanian decent from dads side and my husnamd and talking about going to El Valle to rent with our 2 boys grown and 2 dogs want to get out the states a bit and also have family i san miguelito but want to go and check out if we like the area I hope you find your place I want to know how things are so still watching videos hoping to visit this year God willing and what was the price for the house at 10:15 of your video if you remember I dont mind fixure uppers I love decorating as well I just want to find something with potential I would buy land and build a few tiny homes and then a main bath kitchen and landry are if that was allowed well dear take care hope to hear from ya

As mentioned on FB, we got a 4 bedroom / 4 bath condo with direct ocean views to Pacific ocean, so when your business brings you to the city, stop by and spend some time with us. It will be fun. // That was; is horrible about Kake and Adriana at Lola's Farm. Kake felt under valued, I feel. Too bad. It's a big loss but Kayleigh will find somebody else to take over baby sitting & Rodrigo will be able to stay in the van/bus now. We should be back in Panama City, Panama by 06 23 2022. I know you want a house but you know what; Nuevo Gorgona and Royal Palm condo's are beautiful. I'd love to have a 2-3 bedroom there. It's about 50-60 minutes from Panama City but those condo's are stunning. I've heard you can rent them for $950.00 per month; that's probably for a 2 bedroom.

It’s not advisable to buy until you’ve lived in an area for at least a year. If you haven’t been to Panama, you don’t know if it’s right for you. If you’re thinking of real estate as an investment, the market is over saturated with product so the demand is low and has been for some years. Use your time to visit and explore but don’t buy property ☺️

Yes!!! Rainy season is from May to late November and this year is quite heavy rain. But there’s usually a break in the day or the morning is clear. But when I feel too water-logged, I drive down to Coronado 🌅

I have found NO other single female expats on RUclips 'our' age in Panama. Do you know of any? I am struggling to immerse myself in everything I can find and going back to old videos is boring. There are a lot of women that are young, singles with kids, women that have partners, and a large group of Black single women, but I am unable to find any that are closer to my demographics. I know they are out there!! You tube just isn't giving me anything.

Hola Patty. I am planning to come to Panama in mid Aug. I am a 68 yr old female retiree. I currently live in NE TN. I am getting ready shortly to rent out my home to a couple I've known for years. They are going to buy it. I would like to find a peaceful rental. I cant afford Jackie's tours or her guide. I was looking in el Valle and Boquete. Im kinda nervous to change countries. Do as much research as you can and talk to people while you’re visiting. #IGoPanama has a lot of good practical information and read up on the immigration attorney websites. Take it one step at a time - make sure Panama is the place you want to settle down. You can email me patty@pattybluehayes.com
