I don't want to watch the whole video, it's not pleasant seeing this poor woman's struggle. Why can't they amputate higher? What is in her leg? Is it water weight? Can it be drained? This poor woman. I see some people are praying for her. That actually makes me a little mad. Like there's an omniscient god up there making people with swollen horrific legs for his amusement and they're... begging him for mercy? Asking for an explanation? I don't get it.
Wow what an inspirational and amazing woman! To think I wasted my youth worrying about cellulite and that I didn't have legs like a supermodel and there's people like Mandy dealing with real problems that have effected the course of her life with such grace is truly humbling.

I have no doubt that she has her moments too but her courage, determination and strength is what really separates her from us, not necessarily her legs! I saw that the drugs are working and in 2016 (3 years after this doc) she'd already lost 5 stone (70 lb). I couldn't find any new numbers but if it did that in 3, I can only imagine what she's lost now. That makes me really happy for her. She's always been so bright and positive. She deserves to have an amazing life and I hope she gets to do everything she's ever wanted to do now that her legs aren't holding her back like this anymore.

I’d always wondered whether something had been done to help her and today I decided to find out. Having watched Mandy's documentaries over the years it is so brilliant to see her finally getting some hope after everything that she has been through. She might be fragile looking on the top half, but she has the willpower and grit of sheer steel. This lass deserves to get something good to come along and help her through, but she will still need that extra oomph just to be able to get back to her normal way of life, but i so hope that she is going to get well again. Mandy came to my mind today, I've been following her story for years and I'm so glad to see her progress and they are helping her and through her, to help a child with a similar condition. According to what I see of Mandy's personality, I think she would be just as, if not even more, happy that she can help another as compared to getting help herself.
What a huge difference, so happy for Mandy and others with this rare disorder. Shes an amazing warrior. I wished we had a Dr. Semple who can help figure out the genetic disorder that plagues so many. Hypermobility Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. They've isolated the genes that cause Vascular Ehlers Danlos and Classical EDS, but we are still searching for elusive HEDS.
I am genuinely happy with tears to know there is finally diagnosed. Hopefully everything is better than before. I can never be like her. Fighting spirit. ⚔️

Having watched Mandy's documentaries over the years it is so brilliant to see her finally getting some hope after everything that she has been through. She might be fragile looking on the top half, but she has the willpower and grit of sheer steel. This lass deserves to get something good to come along and help her through, but she will still need that extra oomph just to be able to get back to her normal way of life, but i so hope that she is going to get well again. Mandy came to my mind today, I've been following her story for years and I'm so glad to see her progress and they are helping her and through her, to help a child with a similar condition. According to what I see of Mandy's personality, I think she would be just as, if not even more, happy that she can help another as compared to getting help herself.

I wished we had a Dr. Semple who can help figure out the genetic disorder that plagues so many. Hypermobility Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. They've isolated the genes that cause Vascular Ehlers Danlos and Classical EDS, but we are still searching for elusive HEDS.
