What an incredibly complex procedure! I can't fathom the amount of thinking, considerations, consultations, care coordination, etc. Planning it down to scrab colors of grey and blue, signifying the patients team members are responsible for. How many sleepless nights, just thinking if specific method or tool is the best choice. This blows my mind! My hat is off. Absolutely incredible! Wow the 2 boys are so beautiful and full of life after their separation. Well done to the dedicated teams in separating the 2 boys. May God's glory and love shine eternally through these two young children. God bless everyone who made it possible to separate them. ❤ God bless you.
The poor mom and dad. Heartbreaking to go through all of this for your babys and then have to give them up because they were unable to care for them 😔💜🙏
I think they were expecting to have average healthy kids after the surgery. And when they didn't, they realized that they had disabilities.that were not going to go away they gave them up it's heartbreaking
I keep seeing comments that the mom was "expecting" her boys to be normal. One must give some credit that she must have hoped, as any mother would, to have her sons as close to normal as possible. Being from another country doesn't make her unrealistic or a poor mom for having to come to the decision that they were not able to keep up the arduous task just these 2 needed when it might be likely she had other children. Even if she didn't... Children with such disabilities need a huge amount of support and specialty involved. They couldn't have survived much of a short life without the separation so their parents did the best they could
I was living in Utah at the time Lisa and Elisa Hansen, (who were born conjoined at the head), from the time they were seperated, to now it's amazing how much seperation surgery has progressed. Both girls grew to adulthood but now both have passed away. Personally I feel that this way of doing the surgery bit by bit instead of all at once, is the best way of going about it.
Give thanks to the Lord! He put these 2 little boys in the right hands! Such a great video and good example of how great Drs and Surgeons and all involved, truly are! You are a blessing to this world!! ❤️🙏
The mother was really young and I think that she thought once the surgery was done. She was gonna have two average children with no deficits After seeing the the reality that the children have several disabilities. Now she couldn't handle it, she bailed and it's really heart breaking for the children in certain countries the neighbors and their families look down on disabled children they feel their a burden to the family because they cant work & make money they cant marry them off the parents are raised to believe that kids with disabilities are a curse they will bring shame and they are poor too afford the medical bills or are they capable of a sterile enough environment They had of told her the chance of this happening. She could at least visit them at the child care center if she dont feel she can take them home too totally walk away from them at 3 yrs old is brutally traumatic for the kids But I hope that they find a good family to adopt them that really love then and who can properly care for them,
After the mother permanently left, I am suprised that they were still returned to Guatemala. Yes, they can receive love and care at that beautiful facility, but that is not the same as the love of a mom...a family. Seems they'd be better off being in Dayton, near their doctors, and a much higher likelihood of being adopted by a parent/parents who would be sophisticated enough to manage their care. In all of the people involved in their care in Dayton, as well as locals who became invested in their well being, it seems very likely that someone would step forward, wanting to adopt them.

How is this outcome better than being connected. They were abandoned by their mother, crippled, and brain damaged. Before they were uncomfortable and would have lived a short life, but they were happy, active, cognitively sound, and living with loving family.
I agree, so very sad. It seems like it was the hospitals greed taking advantage of a situation where they could perform major surgery they haven’t done before, so now it will be a more reputable place of practice. Awful
About 3 years ago I had head and throat cancer caused by HPV virus I had to get a lot of work done with my esophagus and my feeding tube and I did not remember the operations were so quick that I didn't believe I was even knocked out I was at a Cancer Center for 15 days in critical condition from an infection and I'll never forget how wonderful and how great every doctor and all of the Staff treated me so very good at this Cancer Center it was the most incredible experience I ever had in all my life. they saved me from passing. This amazing inspiring accomplishment - highlights the evolved Superior Humanitarians that are amongst us now in this advanced, amazing new science based era - Their dedication, compassion and commitment is beyond awe inspiring. And at the same time we see daily on our screens the in-discriminating degradation, maiming and killing of innocent people by the lesser human beings amongst us - who have not yet evolved from the old barbaric primal responses - who use violence to gain power, dominance over others!! And those who are creating for profit the horrendous killing machines etc that do the killing and horrific maiming - for profit!! We have to wonder how these lesser groups feel when they also view the devastation and human suffering of men , women, and innocent children while sitting in the comfort of their own homes chest thumping and counting their 'financial profits'.
Im posting this again on Facebook. I don’t know what to say. I don’t have any words that can come out of my mouth about how incredible this was. I’ve watched it 2x

I don’t think the word would be “abandoned “ . These children obviously needed complex ongoing care that she wasn’t equipped to give . It was best for all involved for their recovery to continue in the hands of someone very qualified . We don’t know the whole situation . I can’t even imagine the hardship for all Involved
WOW 😮 It’s amazing what all those Doctors and specialists accomplished! I pray those boys will continue to thrive and develop and that they have a good quality life 🙏 I’m not really understanding why Mom had to give them up? At first I thought she just gave them up to the hospital because she couldn’t care for both at that time but would take them back once all the surgeries were done. But it seems that she gave them up completely and isn’t even involved in their lives at all. I wish I knew the truth about mom. May God bless these two children now and forever with peace love and happiness 🙏
Dad didn’t appear to be around at that point but I saw him in an earlier video. The kids had never left the hospital after birth. They were always shown with nurses taking care of them and even the surgeon says they would have just laid in a hospital bed for the rest of their life. It’s almost impossible for a poor person to care for special needs kids on their own. They only get the care they need if the state takes over. Doesn’t mean that mom is not visiting all she can. She stayed with them until they were over all their major surgeries. She can’t not work and also pay for all the medical care they need. They might need life long care depending on how bad the neurological damage is. They were probably destined to live in that home even if they didn’t have surgery. Now their quality of life will be much better. They can feel happiness, be part of family with lots of other kids, get an education and live their best lives.
@@cortlynnelliott1797 it seems as though she has ! No mention of her seeing them upon their return to Guatemala ! She was not seen. I hope she will reunite them in due time.

I am sure the Mom was terribly overwhelmed at just how much care the boys needed. A Dad was never mentioned, nor family members. Even with extreme support, it would be a magnanimous difficulty. Please don’t judge the Mom, as we don’t know the entire picture. Pray!
Yes, sad, disapointing, but I doubt she could take care of them conjoined or separated. If she's completely alone, even more unlikely. If she's anywhere near the group rehabilitation home, I hope she visits them on a regular basis.

Amazing scientific and technological efforts and success.
Congratulations all those Doctors and all nurses and staff who did this surgery possibly God bless you all and protect your and all your family ❤❤❤
The surgeons , doctors and nurses are truly amazing.
Im posting this again on Facebook. I don’t know what to say. I don’t have any words that can come out of my mouth about how incredible this was. I’ve watched it 2x
How are the two boys doing from Guatemala? Are they doing good? I would like to help the two boys.
Thanks for the Doctor dedication for this operation!Yahauh bless 🙏❤️👍🇵🇭
They are saying what they want to hear giving false hope to the family
God has given the people in the surgery a gift to do these surgeries!
These surgeons are incredible

These doctors are amazing. The precision they have and they work so great with each other. God Bless them. The whole staff and nurses and anesthesiologist are all amazing as well. God Bless them as well. Technology has come a very long way, but thank God for it.
Wait, so the mom just abandoned her children after they were separated that’s really sad 51:03
She probably couldn't afford there care.
Please accept her wishes as we haven't walked in her shoes.
The babies look happy, God bless ❤❤❤❤
I don’t think the word would be “abandoned “ . These children obviously needed complex ongoing care that she wasn’t equipped to give . It was best for all involved for their recovery to continue in the hands of someone very qualified . We don’t know the whole situation . I can’t even imagine the hardship for all Involved
So…. If the baby is on “maternal bypass”, does the baby receive medication for pain, as they are operated on? I’m very curious about this method.
Don't talk about the mom like that... she did not give them up!!! It never said that
Your an internet troll looking for attention
Maybe the mom feels inadequate to care for them ? I hope she reunites with them...how can we know ! ? 😢
@@cortlynnelliott1797 it seems as though she has ! No mention of her seeing them upon their return to Guatemala ! She was not seen. I hope she will reunite them in due time.
God bless the doctors and nurses, great team. God bless the boys and mother!
Estou aplaudindo em pé essa equipe incrível. 👏👏👏👏
Desejo uma vida longa e feliz aos meninos. Deus abençoe a todos envolvidos nesse processo. Oro por vocês🙏
Watching this kind of video makes so happy to see that there are people who have passion for their work and to help others.❤❤❤❤
These surgeons and staff do deserve medals but I’m sure they feel lucky to be able to be involved in such a surgery. They all love their job. God bless them all. ❤
Удивительная младшая сестра! Как удалось воспитать её так, что она не злится, когда старшая больная сестра пролила напиток? Как не брезгует вытерать ей слюни! Родители - супер-педагоги!
Have you seen the movie (2009) “Gifted Hands” ? It’s the Ben Carson story.
ANESTHISA IS READY TO CALL HIS BEST SHOTS DURING THE SURGERY THIS IS THE BEST FOR NOW
Mind blowing good job 👍 sir 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🫡🫡🫡🎉 💯
Kudo's to every one of you that had a part in this... I would love to see them in the years ahead...
When the surgeon said he woke up and understood something he hadn't previously... that was the Lord. Their mother, bless her, was right all along. God was working through their hands.
So beautiful.
I love doctors who don’t believe themselves to be gods. If anyone sees something, please speak up! Right away this team resonates with me. May God in heaven guide their hands and protect those little guys!
To GOD nothing is impossible. To GOD be the glory. Thank you doctors and nurses of Dayton Hosp.
Incredible knowledge, skills and talents !
Очень грустно... Раньше они могли вставать, бегать, играть в планшет, а после операции стали глубокими инвалидами😢 Сил и терпения им и родителям, надеюсь, что реабилитация поможет!
True supper heros💯
God continue to bless your profession
This was truly a miracle and God was watching. Praise Jesus.
God’s blessings pour down on these little ones 🙏🙌 Their Parents and these Amazing Doctors and Medical team 🙏🙌❤️❤️

Bravooooo!!! Congratulation!!! 👏👏👏🙏💪🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍😀🇦🇷
Anything follow up on the twins? I hope both are doing well
Long haul great results kudos to all!
Also, prayers go out to these boys and their mother and their whole family.
It is amazing how the doctors surgeons and team of people learn and are ble to make the plastic model inside and out for them to see first how things can or cannot be done. Well done to these dedicated people ❤❤❤❤
