- Sky News Australia host James Macpherson has responded to Brisbane police being told to consider alternative options to arresting criminals.
The Brisbane city watch house is running at half capacity due to water works which has triggered the bombshell memo to police.
“Like what do you give him a stern talking to?” Mr Macpherson said.
“Do you glare at him?
“Do you say to the criminals look normally we’d arrest you but today we’re going to get you to tell us what you think should happen to you.
“You could not make this up.”
How about the police arrest the politicians for aiding and abetting the criminals for perpetrating the next crime.
I'd vote for that...............Apparently, there's not enough plumbers around??

I mentioned that somewhere else recently because it was common back in my day and even witnessed, as well as heard, detectives assaulting a late ex-partner in that way.
Of course, I defended him by telling them to stop it and attempted to go to him, but they held me by the arms, then informed me that I didn't see anything, which I clearly did!
As you'd know, they used phone books in order to avoid bruising and marks, yet they did leave some on him. He was going to sue them and didn't get to do it, then died from a heroin overdose, which he'd managed to stop for a period of time. 🙁
Ph book? They are about an inch thick. So no weight at all.

Some people have to be told. They are policy enforcement officers after all. They are used to just following orders, bad orders, without thinking. It works better that way. They run the prison system well in Queensland. You generate more monopoly money by transporting alleged from facility to facility and regulating capacity. Demand, Efficiency, Incentives. It's a shame the criminals aren't told as well so that they can plan their criminal activities around the state's revenue generating activities and increase efficiencies. Criminals could commit crimes in areas of the state where there is excess capacity for example.

Actually they are very good at revenue raking upon receiving their master's orders. Only QLD has double demerit points and fines 24/7 every day of the year. The other States still only bring in the "doubles" for public holidays. You can clearly see the focus of the Queensland government is a purely revenue based one!

They have always had alternatives to arrest, ie, notice to appear, summons etc, but there are many reasons where arrest is necessary and indeed unavoidable.
the crime crisis has been going on so long that it's not even a crisis it's the norm. It's just the normal numbers at this point.

Never had a bad experience with the police as I treat them with respect. We have had many home invasions in our area and I can tell you the police are just as frustrated at how fast criminals are back on the street.

IN CHINA they had a guy who took someone hostage on a 3rd or 4th floor, door had stuff jammed against it. He's hannging out the window yelling at the cops. They just shot him and he fell out, crisis over and everyone went back to normal 5 minutes later. NO ARRESTING NEEDED!
