There is just something I can't put my finger on about your videos that is so relaxing and comforting. I don't even care about some of the products but I see you and I'm in! :)
The medicine bottles at least here in the United States where he is reviewing products from have childproof caps where you have to push down and twist so I don’t think this would work with those but nice thought.
Make a video where you go around your house and show as many products laying around that you’ve reviewed in the past but actually still use regularly . Quickly talk about each one and then say how often you use them . And show what products are in your car ! That you actually have become accustomed to using on a regular day basis :)

I've seen a cat once! Lol you right though, maybe he just "borrowed" the neighbours cat once. I would like to see more of the cat or testing cat stuff, but as a fellow cat owner I know they can be quite aloof.
James, hey buddy. Another great video. I paused at 8:06 even if it says in the directions for the pull tabs to use that to fully open the lids, I know some tabs hurt the finger or nail to open them, I see that more as a helper to get the pull tab started then finish opening it with your hands.
Aside from that, pushing down in the middle of the lid with your thumb is important. It forces the lid to bend properly and reduces the amount of force that is pulling on the tab. You can see that the lid was still straight after it came off and the tab broke because it is made just strong enough to open the can the normal way.
I think this is pretty useful. Especially, to twist the tops. But even just to start the pull tabs would be a wonderful help to me. Not necessary to pull the whole top. I think this little gadget has a place in my kitchen and would ease the arthritis problems for sure. Great review! Glad you showed it. Thank you kindly.
The real pro tip for the twist caps is to twist the cap just enough until it's easy to turn, remove the opener, then finish twisting off the cap with your fingers.
Pampered Chef makes a similar product. I've owned one for about 10 years. Can't remember how much, but I'm pretty sure it was under $10. The bottle opener on the Pampered Chef you can put under the lid of a jar and release the vacuum. That's my favorite. The lid twists off easily. Love your channel!
Always appreciate your detailed videos! :) I personally have no preference, i don't drink soda often so whatever cola is offered to me is what I'll take. However in the grander scheme of soda, black cherry is a favorite of mine :P
Nice video as always! I think the price is high, if my mom was still living I would of gotten one for her though. The twist top opener looks useful for people who have difficulty opening them or lack the strength. Thank you! 😉
Love the spirit of the video. For 100% of the pull tab cans, an electric can opener will work 100% of the time with zero effort. That gadget is good for opening small bottles-period!
Convenient, but at least for me, my family always kinda improvised. Gatorade bottle hard to open? Grab the pliers. Can't get a soup can tab to cooperate? Grab a butter knife to lift it. While I can see the draw to these items and understand, there's that adapting side of me that can't help but think we have the tools we need, just need to be creative :D
You can get round rubbery things (don’t know name) from the dollar store. It fits around 99% of bottles & jars. Opens them. And I have fibromyalgia. The bottle cap opener was a bit pathetic. And top popper is more difficult than a spoon, butter knife, my nail. $1.00 vs $25.00??? No contest. Having said that, James is entertaining so worth watching. 😁
Looks like one of those cans (usually cat food if I remember from my younger days) that decides that breaking is preferable to opening about 20-25% of the time.
I would personally give the ring pull opener feature a higher rating. Once the pull tab is pulled up all the way, you don't need the opener on it anymore as you can easily pull the ring back with a finger in the ring, so I would say it did the job perfectly. Nevertheless, great video as always James.
Thank you so much! After recently watching your review of the "magicOpener" I purchased one. No more daily struggles to lift stubborn ring-pulls on cans of kitty chow, or damaged cutlery! It's a really useful gadget. :)

It seems like an ok product for a steep price tag. Bailey as made many cameos in your videos thought the years but I have never watched one with your cat.😁
I have one of these magic openers. I have weak grip strength due to a genetic disease and this helps me a lot. The only problem I’ve had with it is the magnetic part sucks. It will not stay put on anything on any angle I’ve tried. They seem to have used the weakest magnets in production. The screw top glass bottles even work with the screw top bottle opener.

Dude, I love your videos. Especially the cooking product videos. It's like my moments of zen. This video got me thinking. I'm collecting bottle caps to make a table top one day but the caps don't always come off nicely. There's a lot of different bottle cap removers out there. Could you make a video reviewing different bottle cap removers? That would be awesome and I know an entire community that would appreciate that. Especially on Reddit. Stay safe!
i like my bottle opener, it does a lot more. it's hinged to open up like a pliers so it works on all sizes, plus it still opens pop tops and bottle caps and it's got a blade in the handle to use as a package opener
The pull tab opener was interesting to see. When opening cans of tuna or black beans, it can be difficult to open. It'd mean less damage to your nails when those tabs are so close to the surface!
I have a hard time gripping things, plus i have very thin and weak fingernails so I could definitely use this. I think the pull tab difficulty on the larger soup and fruit lids is because there's no bend in the lid when you pull it due to the length of the opener. I'd try putting it on straight to push the tab in,then rotating it 90° and pulling back kind of sideways. That will allow the lid to bend like it does when you open it by hand. I buy gallon bottles of spring water and those lids are on super tight, but they're far too big for this opener. I really want this but $25 seems like a lot. A lot for me, anyway lol. Thanks for another great review of a useful product I'd never heard of before!
For people with grip strength issues and arthritis I could see a slightly longer body with more leverage being helpful. That would also allow fitting more sizes for the twist top openers in one. Those and slightly stronger magnets would make it much more magical.
They had Dad's Cream Soda and Rootbeer at Dollar Tree before. I bought some, it was good. For the pull tab part, I'd find use for starting the opening of the can. Once the tab is pulled up a can it typically easy enough to open/top pulled off at any age.
I have a hook-shaped tool similar to a Brix J-popper that lifts the pull tab and peels back the lid. It works on fruit, vegetable, soup, and tuna cans. I haven’t used it on a small cat food can.
That would be a great episode of chopped a can of soup a can of generic spam a can of pears and a can of cat food... You have 20 minutes in this appetizer round and go
Looks like a Great option to save those nail ladies... 💅 Especially after all your efforts in nail polish art... This would help to save the Mani... Thanks for sharing this item.
8:00 The reason you had trouble prying the lid back is because after first using the tool to lift the tab, you then have to back it out a bit and then pry downwards, thus giving you the leverage needed to lift the lid out of the can. :)
A word of advice. When a drink isn’t cold, try to wait for it to chill before opening it, if you want it to be carbonated. The colder a liquid is, the more carbonation it can “hold”, so when a drink is room temp, the drink isn’t saturated with gas, and the gas is instead in the “air” part of the bottle which then gets released when the bottle is opened. The result - a drink with very little carbonation. Chilling it down increases how much gas is in the liquid, so when you open it, you will have a much more fizzy drink!
I don't even have arthritis or dexterity issues, and this still looks useful. Sometimes I get drink bottles that are inexplicably impossible to open, and I have to cut the cap off with a knife lest I rupture the bottle trying to twist it off.
I don't think we have dad's brand in Indiana, but IBC is big here and love their vanilla cream soda. My go to for screw caps is a old plastic top off the old style NOS energy drink bottles. They had an orange "turn knob" like a screw shut off over the lid. Let's me get better grip to remove lids.
I think the point is to just loosen the lid so you can take it off easily. If you stop using the tool after it gets loose the lid won't get stuck onto it.
Pepsi. Cherry Coca-Cola; because, Cherry Pepsi has a medicinal taste to it. Coca-Cola if I want to mix it with either lemon juice or rum (Pepsi is too sweet for mixed drinks). Another great review 👏.
I remember when I was pretty little every time I wanted to get a drink it was a nightmare just to open the cap I think my dad just over tightens it and doesn't realize it but I swear he did it on purpose just so I don't drink up all the soda so something like this could of come in handy

Can tabs... (like the soup and cat food) the tool is really designed to just lift the tab for you and then you can pull with your finger like usual. The pull tap is really for saving your finger nail. It is to get you started. (My opinion)
@@TakeMeOffYourMailingList you'd think, but I worked with people with disabilities and dexterity issues, but the ring pull on this proves that even an able-bodied person struggles.... 25 bucks, no tnx
The twist cap part is a definite thing i always would need because when i buy tea i can't never get the bottles open i struggle constantly cause the lids are always very tight.
The pull tab opener isn't meant to be used to lift the lid of the can off. It's just to get under the pull tab and lift it up, from there you use your hands to pull it open.
I’ve been drinking soda for most of my life, and through years of drinking out of soda bottles I’ve developed a callus on my right hand thumb. And with the Callus and years of drinking soda I have a habit of tightening soda bottles so tight that no one else can ever open them when I hand them to people.
Hey the pull tab. Is supposed to be used in 2 stages. One you put it under the tab and open it. Then to pull it pack you use the hook on the pull tab to pull it back.
they should rotate the bottle opener 180 degrees. the way you tried it second without working seems way more easy for people that have problems with them. pushing down instead of pulling up.
I would love a vid of what you do exactly to things you open. In my mind I feel like you pour in sealable containers or other reviewed product in till you or your family's ready for it (i.e. the 3 bottle of sodas you have)
Seems like lots of improvement needed for a gen 2, I think the size of the soup can meant that you were hitting the tool on the edge of the can, preventing efficient energy transfer onto the lid. Also I would really like if it could rip off the spam lid completely, job's not done if I can't drop the brick out imo.
Here in canada we don't have spam in a pulse tab container, which I found interesting, here we have the ones that come with a key that you use to unscrew the side of the can
I think the XS one is meant for twist caps. The first cream soda was a twist cap. One of those products where you pay for the design idea not considering how cheap it is to actually manufacture them. Cool gadget tho.
James! I just had a great idea for another video! You should take a bunch of your highest rated products and compare them to wish/aliexpress knockoffs. It would be interesting what happens when you don't pay full price and get a cheaper quality version.
Are you going to try any of the interchangeable plates? For the record, Progresso soup cans are always difficult to open. It's like the pull tab is too short. Not enough leverage.
I wish you had tried the twist-off part with the metal twist-off caps, I often have problems with those, and can't find an opener made to twist them off.
Maybe it isn't made to pull the lid off but just to pop the tab up. Then you could pull the lid off with your hand. Because, my problem with the tabs are---they are usually very tight against the lid and I have to push a knife under the tab to lift it a bit, then I can grab the tab and lift it with my fingers.
There is just something I can't put my finger on about your videos that is so relaxing and comforting. I don't even care about some of the products but I see you and I'm in! :)

The extra small opener. Would work great on medicine bottles (ex: liq cough suppressant).
Don't they all have child-proof tops?

The soup can was probably the lid being thicker than the others. They don't bend back as easy.
Also larger diameter, so the lever action is tougher. I'm sure that someone who knows physics can describe this better than I can.
Gotta press down on the center of the lid while pulling up on the tab until the lid begins to bend.

I have a tough time opening bottles a lot of the time. Sad but true. Welcome to a certain age. I think I might need something like it eventually. 🤔
Would especially be good for elderly people.
@@Katy32344 I'm 31 with arthritis, and this product would be very handy.
2:40 just the “opening” act 🤣🤣
I missed that. Lmao. I wonder if that was intentional.
I’ve been drinking soda for most of my life, and through years of drinking out of soda bottles I’ve developed a callus on my right hand thumb. And with the Callus and years of drinking soda I have a habit of tightening soda bottles so tight that no one else can ever open them when I hand them to people.
You drink too much soda
Hey the pull tab. Is supposed to be used in 2 stages. One you put it under the tab and open it. Then to pull it pack you use the hook on the pull tab to pull it back.
they should rotate the bottle opener 180 degrees. the way you tried it second without working seems way more easy for people that have problems with them. pushing down instead of pulling up.
You should do the "cap gun" bottle opener - looks WAY more fun
I would love a vid of what you do exactly to things you open. In my mind I feel like you pour in sealable containers or other reviewed product in till you or your family's ready for it (i.e. the 3 bottle of sodas you have)
Seeing you review all these opening devices makes me think you should check out a Leatherman or Victorinox multitool.
I recommend turning the pull tab 90 degrees so it’s on the side of the pull tab the. Pull off the lid.
man those body armor drinks are delicious! have you tried the ones that have caffeine added yet james?
James! I just had a great idea for another video! You should take a bunch of your highest rated products and compare them to wish/aliexpress knockoffs. It would be interesting what happens when you don't pay full price and get a cheaper quality version.
Anyone else what these and think of handy man tools that can do the same thing? Neat invitations and good ideas honestly.
Are you going to try any of the interchangeable plates? For the record, Progresso soup cans are always difficult to open. It's like the pull tab is too short. Not enough leverage.
Appreciate your reviews.
I wish you had tried the twist-off part with the metal twist-off caps, I often have problems with those, and can't find an opener made to twist them off.
Those soup can often breaks on me and I have to often use a hand can opening to open the cans.
The can of soup worked perfectly, you got it open!
Pregresso soup cans are also harder to open than most.
You should try the Americana Huckleberry Soda.....*chef's kiss*
As a spam fan, I can tell you that there has regularly been shortages since COVID. I usually pick one up if it's in stock when I go to the store.
